“My dragon. Mine.” Oliver groaned for him, and it was almost a growl.

“Yours,” he agreed, utterly delighted. He slid a finger under Ollie’s balls, then inside that slick passage. “As you are mine.”

“Y-yes. I need you. I—Don’t stop. Please, don’t stop.” Oliver clenched around him, rippling and clenching tight.

“Never.” No, he wasn’t going to stop. He watched Ollie’s dazed eyes, his flushing cheeks, pushing one, then two fingers in and out. They would have a long, leisurely loving soon. Right now, Ollie needed claiming.

“More.” Oliver’s demands made him smile and he added a third finger.

He opened Ollie up, fingers moving in and out, spreading his own wetness around. When would Ollie realize, he wondered. Not now, because his lover was totally lost to sensation, was floating and moaning and begging wordlessly for more pressure, more attention.

He gave it, using his other hand to jack Ollie’s dick. It was hard, the heavy ridge underneath so hot against his hand. God, he loved how warm his Ollie was.

It was like Oliver was his own personal furnace.

He kissed Ollie’s lips, then his chin, before taking his mouth by storm, dipping in to taste with his tongue.

Ollie threw his arms around Eagan’s shoulders, holding on tight, keeping them close together, the kiss going deeper, Oliver sucking his tongue and making his eyes cross.

They broke for air finally, both of them gasping, and Eagan wasted no time. He pulled back enough to lift Ollie’s legs to his shoulders, then lined up and plunged his cock deep into Ollie’s waiting heat.

So tight, but so ready to take him. Nothing had ever felt better in his long life.

“Eagan!” Oliver’s cry was loud, and Eagan found he didn’t care if the entire household heard it. The whole state of Colorado could hear, and he’d be fine.

They moved together like they were flying, the rhythm similar to the flapping of big wings. In and out he thrust, shoving into Ollie, panting hard. The tight sheath held him like a fist, and he worked in and out, the slick pressure like silk around him.

“Oliver.” He growled Ollie’s name, wanting his lover there with him, teetering on the edge of the cliff. “Fly with me, love. So close.”

His knot was swelling, Oliver’s body stretching to take him, hold him deep inside. He gritted his teeth, holding on as long as he could. Soon they would be locked together, their pleasure too intense to break through.

Ollie scratched at his back, making his scales sing, and Eagan cried out, his whole body alight now.

“Yes. Yes, love. Take me. Fill me up. I need it.” Oliver was perfect, made for him on so many levels. But like this, where his mate was needing and wild, caught beneath him, it was everything.

“Now sweet love. Now. Give yourself to me.”

Ollie met his gaze, dead on. “I already have.”

His eyes stung, and Eagan knew he couldn’t blame it on sweat. He kissed Ollie deeply, slamming home and letting his knot swell until they both shouted with it.

Ollie wrapped his legs around Eagan’s waist, holding on tight, keeping them locked together. “Touch me. Please, touch me.”

He pushed up on one hand so he could stroke Ollie’s cock, which changed the angle inside his love too. They both moaned, and Ollie jerked, dancing for him.

Oliver’s body began to milk him, pulling more precome from his body. He rocked and jerked, his whole self joined with Oliver: mind, body, and spirit.

Oliver touched his cheek, and their orgasm joined, swirling together higher and higher.

He kissed Ollie’s fingers, then bent to bite at Ollie’s shoulder, needing to ground himself.

The flavor of his mate’s skin intensified his need, and he groaned deep in his chest. He rocked, pushing deep, Ollie clamping down on him as he stroked Ollie harder.

“Coming!” he cried out, and Oliver convulsed under him, heat spraying over his fingers.

He hummed, the whole room vibrating with it, steam rising around them. Yes. Oh, yes.

“I love you, Dragon.” Ollie hummed softly, holding on.

“I love you too, sweet.” He lowered himself down, knowing he was there for a bit. He would haul them to the shower later to clean up, but he wanted to be with Ollie.

Right now, in this space, they were one.

That was the perfect way to spend the middle of the day.

“I can’t believe how big she’s getting.” Oliver laughed as baby Arielle rolled over the floor on a huge, soft blanket. “She’s just beautiful.”

“She is. I’ve already told Brand, though. No nookie until after the holiday. None. Zero. No more babies until she’s twenty.”

“Oh, man. Is he mad?” Ollie knew all three brothers were a little baby mad because of Arielle.

“No. No, he can orgasm in a lot of ways. He knows how.” Dev winked at him.

“TMI.” Ollie closed his eyes. “Lalalala.”

“He never la’s. Sometimes he growls though.”

“You’re evil.” He chuckled. “Not that I don’t know how inventive the type is.”

“Right? Dragons are yummy in bed. Yum-my.”

“You know it, man.” Ollie smacked his lips. “So yum.”

Devon chuckled and rolled Arielle back in play. “Look at that little rollerball.”

“She’s amazing. I love her.” Ollie honestly did. “She makes me happy. Dragon girl.”

“She’s something else.” Devon glanced at him sideways. “Feeling better?”

“Yeah. I want to be his. He wants me. It’s good.”

“Most excellent. I would hate it if you two decided not to make a go of it.” Dev reached over to pat his hand.

“Me too. So…when did you know you were a dragon?” He was desperately curious because he wasn’t one.

“Oh, man. I totally had denial even after the DiMarco thing. I mean, I knew then. But I hid in bed and pretended not to know.”

“That was fu-messed up.” Oliver had been there that night, scared and worried for his friend. He hadn’t known about the dragons, but he’d known Eagan was something special.

“Yeah. They finally dragged me out of bed and kinda pushed me, but it wasn’t until Arielle was born I knew I would fly someday.”

“You have to, right? To keep up with her?” Flying? God, he couldn’t imagine. To just…sprout wings at will.

“Yep. The first time Brand took me I was so excited.” Dev’s smile brightened, his eyes almost glowing. Oliver could almost hear the wind whistling by his ears.

“I’m so jealous as hell, but I’m happy for you too.”

“When I get good enough, I’ll take you for a ride.” That was soft, the smile fading a little. Devon knew very well that second-hand was never as good unless it came to books.

“That would be cool, man. You’ll be amazing. Although…” He pursed his lips. “I think Eagan would want to be my first.”

“Of course, he would.” That had Devon bouncing again. “You should ask him. Bundle up.”

“Shouldn’t I wait for him to offer? What if he says no? What if he doesn’t want to?” Ollie wasn’t going to ask for something so big.

“Oh, honey, if you want to go, ask. These guys love to show off. You remember when you passed out when you saw Tyson?” Evil butthead, reminding him. Devon had told him about dragons, and he’d been all, no way, and then Tyson had come in for a landing.

  Boom.

“I had made that drive up here terrified you were kidnapped. Terrified.”

“And then I was all huge.”

“Yes!” Pregnant Devon had been almost too much for his little brain, and then a full-sized amethyst and crystal dragon had blown by. “Sometimes it’s amazing how much my life has changed in such a short time.”

Dev’s snort ran with irony. “I get that.”

“Right? It’s only been a year, huh? At least pregnancy was quick…”

“It didn’t feel quick. It felt huge.”

Yeah, I bet.” Ollie put a hand on his belly, trying to imagine it, but he just couldn’t.

And he needed to stop trying. He was just going to drive himself nuts.

“So, did you look through those books at all?” Devon reached out to pat Arielle’s butt, and Ollie realized she was about to fall asleep.

“Which ones?” He’d been reading quite a bit. That was the best part about being here. Reading time was important.

“The auction ones. I know there’s a lot of them, but some of them might have buyers before you take them to the shop.”

“Just tell me your thoughts. There are fewer and fewer drop-ins these days. We’re mostly online.” It was more work, but it was more flexible, he supposed, even if it did interfere with his self-image of himself as becoming a dusty old bookstore owner.

“I know Lee Price was interested in philosophy stuff, and Mrs. Beal should get first crack at the cookbooks.”

“Let me get my phone, or should we have a meeting after our girl falls to sleep?”

Devon grinned. “Can we have a meeting? I would love to pretend like I have a job for a bit.”

“Sounds perfect. I’ll even bring my notebook and my laptop. Should I go make tea?” Meetings needed tea.

“I think we should, yeah. Let me put her down, and we’ll go talk books.” Look at that glow. Devon seemed so tickled.

Oliver thought he had new parent syndrome, where he needed adult time that had nothing to do with the baby.

“Sounds like heaven.” It wasn’t an exaggeration. He and Dev had built their business together, doggedly. The book industry was a tough one, and they’d developed the kind of reputation that was as rare as their product.

“Cool.” Devon went to put the baby down, and he grabbed his business stuff, sending off a note to Halle just so she knew to expect some shipping requests.

Then he met Dev in the kitchen to make tea.

“I think he’s in denial,” Eagan told Tyson and Brand as they worked around him to make breakfast. After the wild solstice celebration the night before, and subsequent wild lovemaking, he was letting Ollie sleep in.

He got the impression Devon was getting the same courtesy.

“It’s a hard thing to understand, Eagan. Can you imagine?”

“No. No, I suppose not. I just want him to be with me in all ways so badly.”

“You have an eternity. It will be fine. You have to let him come into it on his own.” Brand flipped pancakes.

“Says the man who just got his mate pregnant without any discussion.”

“Yeah, well…” Brand rolled his eyes. “I didn’t believe it would happen. Ever.”

“I know.” He did. And he wanted it to happen too much, probably. Ollie was enough for him if his dragon never presented. In fact, he was everything. “He’s mine, regardless.”

“That’s what’s important, brother. You know that.”

“I do.” He nodded sharply. He would focus on that and stop pushing Ollie. Even if he didn’t do it overtly, he had a feeling Ollie knew it.

“He loves you.” Ty offered. “I can see it.”

“I love him so much.” Oliver made him so happy. Eagan was silly over the man. It was ridiculous, but true. “Everything is good between you and Devon?”

Brand’s smile was beautiful to behold. “Yes. I think he needs a little less baby time, so I’m glad Ollie is here to chat with him, but we’re good. Very.”

“Oliver is over the moon about their daily meetings.”

“They needed to reconnect, hmm?” Brand put food on plates to pass out.

“They did.” They had been friends—no, they were friends. They had worked together, seen each other daily for years.

“Cool.” Tyson grabbed a plate. “What? You two are so domestic. I’m going back to my workshop.”

“No. You are going to sit here and tell us what you’re working on.”

“I’m goofing off right now.” At the words, both he and Brand stared.

  “Goofing off?”

“Yes.” Tyson’s cheeks pinked. “I’ve just been…doodling. Making settings I don’t have stones for. I’m not sure why.”

“Maybe some auction is coming. Something wonderful.” Eagan could totally head out with Tyson to a gem auction. The characters at those things amazed him.

“Maybe. I keep hearing…” Tyson shook his head. “Well, it’s not like I have commissions right now. I got them all done last month for the Yule season.”

He tilted his head. “Hearing what?”

“Someone is lost. They’re calling for me.” Tyson shrugged, not meeting their eyes. “Ever since Devon came. I hear him, especially when I sleep.”

Brand looked at him, and Eagan looked back. “You can’t find him?”

Tyson shook his head. “Not yet. I keep looking. It’s why I can’t seem to just stay put. If I can’t find him in my dreams, I need to find him in real life.”

“Keep looking, brother,” Brand said. “He’s out there. I know it.”

Eagan nodded. “Trust yourself. If you hear him, it’s not just wishful thinking. He may not be close, but he’s waiting for you. It has to be hard, because now we all know how good it can be to have a mate, but you’re saving the best for last.”

Brand bobbed his head. “Absolutely. Whatever it is, it’s a treasure.”

Tyson rolled his shoulders. “I feel as though… I feel like when I find the right stone, I’ll find him too.”

Eagan reached out and squeezed Tyson’s shoulder, then stepped in and hugged his big brother tight. To hell with being hands off. Tyson needed them. “How can I help?”

How often had he not made that offer when he should have? Devon and Oliver had taught him this, how to reach out.

“Just don’t let me get too growly when you have babies all around you, and I’m still only me. Devon and Ollie don’t have any more friends I can hook up with.”

“You’re more than only me,” Brand growled. “Arielle needs you. You are her hero. Her best fellow.”

Tyson grinned for them finally. “Okay, okay. My fierce dragon brothers.”

“Yes, we are. Now stop putting yourself down. How long have we all been alive? We have time.”

“Ugh. You did not just pull the eons line out. Don’t you dare use mom’s lines on me. I’ll behave.”

Eagan scoffed. “No you won’t, but we love you anyway.”

He had lost years where he hadn’t connected with these men, years where their lives hadn’t crossed, where a phone call or a letter hadn’t happened. It was bizarre, but Devon had brought them together.

Now they were a family again. Truly connected and sharing this new adventure of babies and mates.

  Fate was a strange thing.

“Anyway, it’s the same with Ollie as it is with Tyson, Eagan,” Brand said. “He is who he is. Love him for it.”

“I do. I don’t care if he ever has babies. I want him. I want to be together. You know that.” It didn’t stop his excitement, his hope, that last night, they’d created something. The whole night had been magical. In the magick with a K way.

“I do.” Brand beamed at him, and he moved to help put syrup and butter out. Time to go get Ollie and Devon.

“You want me to wake them up?” Tyson grinned, and Brand glared.

“You wake your niece up, and I will bite you. Hard.”

“Hey, we have a baby monitor.” Eagan chortled at Brand’s growl. “Fine then. I shall take my lover breakfast in bed. Good day, brothers.” He sailed out of the kitchen with two laden plates, including butter pats and syrup cups.

Oliver was curled around his pillow, hair down and wild, smiling as he dreamed.

  Such a lovely man.

He set the tray down on the side table, then slipped into bed, rubbing his hands over Ollie’s skin.

“Mmm…my dragon.” Ollie stretched, groaning low. “You were hungry last night, love.”

“I was. You were a feast.” He kissed O
llie’s neck where the long hair slid aside. “I’m hungry now too. I brought breakfast.”

“Mmm…smells delicious.” Oliver sat up and snuggled right into him with a hum.

“Brand and Tyson did the lion’s share of the work.” He grinned, pulling Ollie into his lap before reaching to grab the plate. “Shall we dunk so we can eat with our fingers?”

“Sounds perfect.” Oliver cuddled into him bare as the day he was born.

“Mmm. Good. The butter might need a hand, though. If you want some.” He liked a little spread himself. Not as if he had to worry about clogged arteries…

“Mmm…slippery!” Oliver leaned into him, then past, grabbing a butter knife. “Where am I spreading it?”

“Naughty boy.” He nibbled at Ollie’s ear. “I suppose just on the pancakes to start. We can lick anything up that happens to fall.”

“I like licking.” Oliver groaned for him, sliding against him, skin hot against his. “Licking. Sucking. Fucking. You name it.”

“I love it with you.” He plucked off a piece of bacon to feed to Ollie.

Oliver nipped it up. “That’s nice. Salty.”

“It is. Crispy, as well.” The pancakes were also a dream, light and fluffy and sweet. The shared bites, Ollie licking his fingers, which caused his interest to rise, so to speak.

“Mmm…Look at that. You aren’t even chafed.”

He laughed out loud, surprised at Ollie’s sexiness, though why he had no idea. His sweet lover could be perfectly dirty. “Not even a little, and considering how my knot wanted to stay in you…”

“I—” They’d never acknowledged it. Not ever, but they needed to. “I wanted it. I wanted to feel it filling me and… keeping me close.”

“I love that.” He licked a line up Ollie’s neck. “You take me so beautifully.”

Oliver moved to straddle him, moving against his cock. “It’s like having a plug in, but alive, moving, you.”

His sensual lover. Eagan groaned with his pleasure.

“Are you up for another round?” He slid his fingers behind Ollie, testing his readiness. Ollie needed to be wet and not at all still hot or sore.

“Mmhmm.” Oliver groaned, head falling back. “Oh, that’s good. You make me burn.”
