ABOUT THE AUTHORS
JIM DEBROSSE grew up in Dayton and graduated from Harvard and Columbia. He has worked as a reporter for a number of newspapers and is currently a features writer for the Dayton Daily News. He’s the author of three mystery novels published by St. Martin’s Press and has won numerous journalism awards, including the National Press Club Award.
COLIN BURKE graduated from San Francisco State College. After almost two decades as a professional musician, he obtained a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He taught at University of Maryland Baltimore County, and researched, wrote, and lectured in several fields. Among his published works are Information and Secrecy and American Collegiate Populations. He has received grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and major private foundations. He has recently been a Research Fellow at Yale University’s Program on Nonprofit Organizations and also the Eugene Garfield Fellow at the Chemical Heritage Foundation.
