“Where’d you go?” she asked.
She already knew the answer but I gave it to her anyway. “Grant and I had a conversation with Picardo. Had to let him know where we stand.”
“Then he knows…”
I nodded. “I’m not sure he believes me when I say I wasn’t in on it. Just a bad coincidence it was your brother that pulled that job. Considering he hasn’t killed me yet, I’d say he’s taking my word for it.”
“If he took your word, then there has to be a way out of this, a way to convince Picardo not to kill Joey.”
I shook my head. “Picardo wants your brother. What happened happened. There’s no changing it. He did mention though there was one way to let your brother get out of this alive. Something I could give him.”
“And what’s that?” She jumped out of her seat like there was a real chance out of this. I was almost reluctant to give tell her though I knew I couldn’t keep it from her.
“Me. Picardo said he’ll give me some time to think about it. It’s either me or your brother. Either one will do to make sure he maintains his reputation.”
The disappointment in her eyes hurt me more than anything. I took her hands in mine and kissed them but it wasn’t enough to make her pain go away.
“I can’t ask you to do that,” she said. “Not even for my brother.”
“I can’t let your brother just die for me.”
“What are you saying?” She gave me a confused look. “Are you seriously considering just handing yourself over to Picardo so my brother can get off? That’s not a solution—”
I put my hand to her cheek to calm her down. “It’s all right. I know exactly what I need to do. It’s the only thing I can do.”
“And what’s that?”
“Shh…” I leaned forward and pressed my lips to hers. I’d kissed her more times than I could count but damn it always felt as good as the first time. I pushed my tongue between her teeth, kissing her deeper and making her moan softly. I ran my hand along her dress and cupped her breast through the fabric. Just thought of her milky white tits underneath was enough to get me hard.
I pulled away so I could look into those emerald green eyes of hers. She stared at me, mouth open slightly and short of breath. “I don’t wanna think about anything else tonight. Not Picardo. Not your brother. Just share this moment with me, Rose.”
Her throat bobbed up and down as she swallowed. A slight nod was all I needed to keep going.
Our mouths found their way back on each other. My hands roamed toward the straps of her dress, pulling them down her arms and letting the fabric fall to the floor. Her bra and panties didn’t match but I didn’t give a shit. A few quick tugs and snaps and both of them were on the floor with her dress.
I led her over to my bed, pushing her down gently until she fell back on it. She spread her legs and pushed herself up. Her porcelain skin looked even more delicate underneath the moonlight. The freckles on her cheeks were barely noticeable. Her eyes were focused. Just a blank stare that told me everything.
The pink between her legs dripped more appetizing than anything else. My mouth watered at the sight of her slit. I kept my eyes locked on her body while I took my kutte off. I raised my shirt up over my head and kicked my jeans off. Then I crawled onto the bed, staring up at her while my tongue dripped with anticipation.
I pressed my mouth to her mound and she gasped. Her whole body bucked when I ran my tongue over her slit. Up and down. Up and down. I tasted the fluids dripping out of her then moved up to her already swollen clit. My lips squeezed softly around her, sucking on it and making her body twitch again.
My hands found her curves. Soft, pale skin in my grip beginning to sweat felt better than anything else on my palms. Feeling how much pleasure she was going through made me work my tongue on her even more.
“Ashton… You’re gonna make me…”
Her breath grew shorter. She writhed on my mattress like she wanted me to stop, almost as if she was trying to get away. I pushed forward, bringing her closer and tonguing her pussy until she was soaking.
“Ashton…”
She sounded more and more desperate. I worked my mouth furiously on her clit until she suddenly cried out. A feminine groan that had to force its way out of her throat filled my bedroom. I held her trembling body in my grip while she bucked her hips against my mouth. I kept my face against her, sucking and licking her through her orgasm.
Feeling Rose come just made my cock throb so much it’d be painful if I didn’t take care of it. I pulled my mouth away from her dripping folds and trailed kisses up her soft stomach, over her breasts, then gave her a taste of herself.
“Share this moment with me…” I whispered into her mouth. The heat from her folds made my cock twitch. “Be with me, Rose. You’re mine.”
“I’m yours.”
I took my place between her legs, using my knee to make sure she was nice and spread for me. My tip hit her wet folds and pushed into her. Her mouth dropped slightly, another moan stuck in her throat again as my cock disappeared inside of her. I gave her every damn inch, pushing until the base of my cock was pressing against her. Her tight pussy squeezed around me.
Motherfuckers would’ve teased me because I was already on the verge but I didn’t care. No man could take how good she felt.
I enjoyed it as quickly as I could, thrusting hard and deep. Her body shifted with every stroke. A whimper came out of her whenever I filled her up, her mouth hanging half open the entire time.
We grinded together on my mattress. Her pale, soft body, covered in sweat, rubbing against mine. Fingers intertwining with each other. Foreheads pressed together.
I stared into her eyes as my hips started to buck harder and harder.
“Ashton…” Her warm breath against my lips made me want her even more. Rose always had me begging for it but now I was the one desperate for her.
I could still hear the music outside in the bar. There were people out there enjoying themselves, having a good time. But this moment with Rose right now… We were the only ones who existed.
“Ashton…”
“I’m gonna fill you up.”
“Do it… Come inside of me… I want you…”
I gritted my teeth. Hard breaths through my nose were all I could get out. My lungs burned. My muscles tightened up. My balls swelled. My cock was throbbing so damn bad as I drove my shaft in and out of her with faster and faster thrusts. The bed squeaked so much I thought it would break but I didn’t care. Our bodies slammed against each other. The rhythmic clapping of our sweaty flesh hitting each other suddenly ended when I came.
And I came hard. I grunted as the first throb of cum came out of me. I kept my cock planted deep inside of her, letting the wetness fill her up. Every pulse of my cum felt just as satisfying as the last.
Rose groaned, tightening and milking me for every drop I had. She kept her fingers locked with mine as I pinned her hands up over her head. Her legs wrapped around the small of my back, keeping me close as I gave her everything.
I wanted to keep going but my body found its limit. The last spurt came out of me and I collapsed on top of her. Her soft, sweaty body underneath me was like resting on a cloud. Listening to her breathe the same rhythm as me was music.
I knew what I had to do though. This moment with Rose was just that. A moment. And I’d take it with me regardless of what happened.
I pushed myself up just enough to look down into her eyes. The worry hadn’t gone away but she was still smiling. That smile was all the reminder I needed to know what I had to do.
“Everything will be all right.” I kissed her softly on the forehead. “I promise.”
Chapter 21
ROSE
Ashton didn’t tell me what he was up to. I suppose my level of worry would be the same regardless. I knew there was no easy way out of this but I trusted him enough to know he’d make the right decision.
We stayed together for as long as we could before we lef
t the Bone Pit. Grant was the only one with us.
I hugged my arms tight around Ashton as we made our way through the streets. You wouldn’t have known something was about to go down with how quiet it was. Ashton made it a point not to speed down the road. If anything, the ride through Ivory was as leisurely as it could get.
I enjoyed this moment just as much as I did being naked in bed with him. The cool night air blowing against my skin and running through my hair. The pavement right underneath my feet. The buildings rolling by us. The gentle rumble of the engine under my seat was comforting. His hard body underneath my grip made it even easier for me to hold onto him.
I was so caught up in the feeling of riding I was surprised when Ashton suddenly pulled up to a curb. Grant rolled up right next to him, the two of them eyeballing one each other.
“You see it?” Grant said.
Ashton gave him a nod.
“See what?” I said.
Grant gave me a look before ignoring me. “How do you wanna handle this?”
“Take ‘em to the outskirts. Looks like it’s just two. No pigs.”
Grant gave him a nod before moving forward.
“Ashton,” I sighed. “You can’t keep everything from me. You have to tell me what’s going on—”
“Change of plans. We’re being tailed.”
“What?” Just as I was about to turn my head around, he touched my face and made me look at him.
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of this. Just hold on.”
I swallowed anxiously and nodded. My arms wrapped tighter around his stomach as he sped forward.
He moved faster than before with Grant on the road ahead of us. We were moving so fast I was waiting for any moment to hear the police sirens. But there were no cops. There was no traffic. The buildings started to disappear. The road was dusty. Whatever Ashton was planning, he was gonna do it where nobody would see.
We headed far away from Ivory, so far the lights from the all the buildings were distant. A few streetlights and the lone headlights from both rides were all we had to light the way. It was quiet except for the exhaust from our bikes.
But I listened closer and noticed it wasn’t just us on the road. The wind blowing against my face, I slowly turned my head around and saw two bikes in the distance. Their headlights were off but it was obvious they were there. And they looked like they had every intention of following us.
Ashton sped up and moved right next to Grant.
“I got one!” Grant shouted. “You gotta go off! Keep Rose safe!”
Ashton gave him a nod and turned his head back to me. “Hold on tight…”
“Shit…” I muttered to myself as I squeezed my arms around him. I braced myself as best as I could, not knowing what to expect.
Suddenly, Ashton veered off the road and into the barren land to the side. I turned back to see Grant still on the road, his back turned as he raised his gun up. A pair of gunshots rang through the air. Something about a bullet cracking the silence of the night made it more frightening.
I kept my head down as Ashton continued driving into the empty land that made up the outskirts of Ivory. I could hear the sound of another bike roaring toward us but I didn’t have the nerve to peak my head up and look.
Another gunshot filled the air, this one was a little louder than the others. It almost felt like they were right next to me.
“Hold on!” Ashton shouted. “We’re almost there!”
I looked up and saw some abandoned farmland in the distance. Most of the farms in Ivory were abandoned after the town became more modernized but the city didn’t have enough money to renovate it. That meant there were miles and miles of land that was simply empty. I knew I was alone with Ashton and whoever it was chasing after us.
Ashton rolled up behind an empty barn just before another bullet filled the air. His bike came to a grinding halt.
“Get off.”
I followed his instructions quickly.
“Stay here.”
“Ashton—”
“It’s all right. Everything will be all right. You just have to trust me, Rose.”
I swallowed anxiously and nodded.
“Here. Just in case.” He pulled a gun from his waist and held it out to me.
“Ashton, I don’t know how to—”
“Just point and squeeze.”
“Point and squeeze… Point and squeeze… Right…”
I held the gun tight in both hands, hoping I wouldn’t have to follow through with the simple instructions.
Ashton got off his bike and pulled his other piece from his waist. We both leaned up against the barn. I tried to stay quiet but my heart was beating so hard in my chest. Every breath I took wasn’t nearly enough.
“Steady… Steady…” Ashton raised a hand up to calm me down.
I kept my hands gripped tight on the gun as I listened to the bike in the distance approaching us. The exhaust grew louder and louder. So loud I knew it was right next to us.
“Should be right about here…” Ashton pointed his gun up, aiming at nothing at all. He stared down his sights and suddenly the bike appeared in front of us.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Three gunshots rang out from Ashton’s barrel in perfect harmony. Bullets moved so fast you could never tell if they’d hit their target. But from the way the bike suddenly veered out of control, I knew Ashton had hit his mark.
The man on the bike took a tumble as the bike went flying out of control.
“Ashton!” I called out as he rushed forward and got on top of the man.
The guy chasing after us was still in a daze. It was all the opportunity Ashton needed to level him with a couple of hard right hands.
I saw the man’s gun on the ground next to him. I quickly ran up and kicked it away, so there was no chance Ashton was in any danger.
“Who are you? What are you doing?” Ashton gripped the man’s collar tight.
The man wasn’t remarkable. Just a pair of jeans and a leather jacket. Some tattoos on his neck made him look like any thug you’d find at Finn’s. His eyes rolled in the back of his head and his mouth was bloody but he was till conscious as Ashton kept barking at him.
“Answer me,” Ashton shouted.
The man looked up at Ashton and smiled through his bloody teeth.
“You’ll never be able to get away from him,” the man said. “Just kill me now… I’ll be better off for it.”
“Who? Who are you talking about?”
Ashton slammed another fist into his mouth but just made sure he couldn’t get the answers he was looking for. Ashton sighed in frustration and got back up to his feet.
I was so focused I didn’t noticed how much I was trembling. Ashton walked toward me and took the gun from my hands.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
I heard another bike behind us but thankfully it was only Grant. He rode right next to us and got off his ride.
“He’s gone,” Grant said. “Bled out before I could get anything from him.”
“I could question this guy once he wakes up,” Ashton said. “But I’m pretty sure he’s gonna give us the answer we already know.”
The two of them nodded to one another.
“It’s your call, Ash. How do you wanna handle this?”
Ashton kept his eyes on me as he spoke to Grant. “Give Jordan a call. It’s finally time to put an end to all of this.”
Ashton was still keeping me in the dark. There was no point in asking him what he was up to. It didn’t matter. The look in his eyes told me business was going to be settled, one way or another.
Chapter 22
ASHTON
It was my call to make sure Doc and Micah stayed by Rose’s side in case shit got bad. Jordan might have been the president of the MC, but after everything was laid out on the table, he knew how personal this was to me.
“I set up the meeting,” Grant said. “Picardo’s expecting something. Him and his men are waiting insi
de that warehouse. We step inside, there’s a good chance we don’t walk out.”
Jordan. Grant. Rex. We all looked at one another. The boys might’ve busted each other’s balls when we were in the clubhouse but it was times like this when we knew we had each other’s backs.
“You guys don’t gotta do this,” I said. “I can deal with Picardo myself—”
“Shut the fuck up,” Rex cut me off, shaking his head with a smirk. “You know we’re not going anywhere. So if you’re ready to deal with this shit, let’s go.”
I turned toward Jordan. He gave me a subtle nod and I took the lead. We rode our bikes down the street toward the warehouse where Picardo was waiting. The black SUVs parked outside were more than enough to let us know we were in the right spot. Even the cops wouldn’t bother sticking their noses in to take a look. Whatever business had to be settled inside, we knew we wouldn’t be interrupted.
A couple of punks in suits stood by the entrance. It didn’t matter how hard they tried to look. I knew they were just some hired goons paid to intimidate people. It would’ve worked if I hadn’t dealt with so many guys like them throughout the years.
They escorted the four of us into the spacious warehouse. It was just as empty as the last time I saw it. On the other side, there were a few light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, enough to illuminate the man I was looking for. Picardo was flanked by half a dozen security guards, each one of them holding an uzi that could split a man in two if they squeezed the trigger for long enough.
“Ah!” Picardo said as he held his hands out. “It seems like you’ve already made your decision. Do you have the man I’m looking for or have you decided to do the noble thing and sacrifice yourself?”
“I wasn’t planning on making my decision so quickly but you did it for me,” I said. “I thought you were better than that but I guess the rumors are true. You’re even more psychotic than you look.”
He scoffed, a grin on his lips to hide how upset he was. “This isn’t the first time I’ve ever had to deal with you Cobras. It seems like whenever I meet with you, you get a little more indignant.” The smile slowly disappeared from his face. “I guess a man can’t control his emotions when he knows he’s about to die.”
