With a sheepish grin, Lupe slid the smooth blade from Vinnie’s palm. “I wondered what happened to that.”
“You’re lucky nobody else got suspicious,” Vinnie warned, meaning Tish.
“I won’t tell if you won’t. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” Lupe held the opener to a sealed bill. “I have to answer the mail.”
Vinnie broke out in laughter and kissed Lupe’s forehead. “Gracias.”
“De nada.”
