“No but I did tell you dad and they could be rivals from other covens. Things have been strained lately since some of them are getting tired of the way things are. Some feel threatened by the VampireWitches ,too since they had no idea that witches can even have half vampires,” he said.
She felt a little sad about it since some vampires are set in their ways. Some don’t want to adhere to modern times either.
Mina thought about it. She did know her dad had enemies, too and not everyone liked him either. His name was Draven Blackwood. He was tall, pale, and had dark black hair and grey eyes. He always wore capes and nice suits. Like a nice version of Dracula, but he can be fierce when messed with. He was a strongly skilled vampire and loved the sword. He also had an assortment of weapons and was the general of the Vampire Security forces. Mina remembered when he went to visit and had a few bodyguards with him. And she is going to make a point to visit, maybe even stay with the coven or with Neo.
“True, my father did have some enemies and not everyone liked the fact that my mom was in love with a vampire. To them, it was unheard of. And then they were shocked when I happened since it had never happened before. In fact some people think my very existence is an abomination and they weren’t expecting me either. They both loved me all the same,” she said.
Even her ex hated the fact that she was half but he was a boring ass witch to her anyway. He wouldn’t even let her bite him and was disgusted when she drank blood even though she needed it. He was lucky he was still alive since now she hated him after he pushed her into a wall.
“I am happy you exist and I would hate to think that my vampire mate would be a normal vampire,” he said.
Her eyes widened, “Is that why I feel so drawn to you, and just want to be in your arms?”
He smiled showing her his fangs and she wasn’t scared either; she was more turned on than anything else. “Yes, and I have been waiting for this all my life. I was hoping I would find you sooner. I am definitely willing to go the distance with it. I already got your dad's permission. He was happy it was me,” he said and she just looked at him speechless.
She was so attracted to him she couldn’t even think when he was around. She didn’t want to at all, so she went up close to him. She loved how sexy he was and she has never been attracted to anyone the way she was to him. And he held out his hand to her. She took it and electrical energy jumped between them. She melted into his arms. Once he put his arms around her she felt safe and warm for once. She had a feeling with him she has never felt before. It was all new to her after being with an abusive jerk for so long. She finally has someone who felt like home. He was the one she was waiting for. She felt safe in his arms for the first time.
He looked into her eyes with wonder like he was seeing her for the first time, “Mates do exist and I finally found it in you. I have never felt this way about anyone before.”
She smiled at him, “They do and you are definitely mine. I was happy it didn’t work out with my ex. He was abusive and the final straw was he pushed me into a wall. Hence the drinking and break from everyone.”
He looked at her with a sad look, “He escaped…so we have no idea where he is and the last thing he said is your name.”
Her eyes grew wide, “How could he get away?”
He sighed, “He must have powerful friends since the guards are all dead.”
“Wow. then it is a good thing you are here it could have been his men trying to get me.” she shuddered. She didn’t want to relieve all the abuse again. He was horrible. Called her worthless and treated her like she fucked everything that moves. She didn’t and she was faithful unlike him who went on another date with a girl and made out with her. He had girls text him pics of them in lingerie and one even called him bad slave. He even was on dating apps and lied about having an active account. He was the worst she had ever had boyfriend wise. Dating him was so stressful since he was paranoid about cheating and she was at peace when he left. She wanted to put it all behind her at this point and move on.
“You never have to worry about it again, and I will never treat you the way he did,” he said. Being in his arms felt so good she never wanted it to stop. And it has been so long since she was intimate with anyone. She was almost afraid to be since her ex damaged her. She could feel his warm body heat and it made her want him even more. She never wanted it to end at all. She loved feeling this way to the point where she wanted it forever. All the hurt was done and gone. She felt something she has never felt before. And it made her realize he is the person she is missing. She had a feeling that things will change with him in her life.
“Thanks, I don’t want to go through that again. And it was so awful having someone like him as a boyfriend.” she said.
And she wondered about it so she asked him, “He even fed me a drink when he was with me called Powerpress or something. He said it would help my abilities grow and it made me sick. He said it was a side effect, nothing more.”
Neo looked shocked, “That won’t help them grow instead it will hinder you and make you vulnerable to magic which means you aren’t at your full potential yet. And if we get you at your full potential then he won’t know what hit him.”
Her eyes widened, “I knew something was off. I just didn’t know what. That could explain the drinking and needing to be away.”
He nodded, “It is and I can actually cure it by a blood bond.”
She was speechless, “That would tie me to you which is a big step.”
He smiled, “It would, but I wanted to be yours and I am yours. I know it is a lot since you just got out of a bad spot, but trust me. I will never lay a hand on you in a bad way. I love the thought of holding you and staying with you. And this bond means we can talk to each other mind to mind. I am a hybrid like you. I am part necromancer. I was given those gifts by my mom. I know how you feel. I will never belittle you for being different. You can trust me since you are safe for now.”
She wanted to believe him. It was all so much to take in. Still someone there for her will help. It would make this long life bearable. Having someone there for her and to be there would make it all worthwhile. He was asking for something permanent. She wanted it though, strangely. She didn’t know him that well and yet she was so comfortable with him she knew she could trust him with that. She also needed to be at full capacity, too and she needed a clear head to take on her ex. She also needed him. She was so attracted to him that she would let him do anything. She wanted him to the point where it made her wet with desire for him to fill her.
“I know I am taking a huge risk on this and I needed to be at my full power. I also need you since there is something there that I need in my life. Help me with it the next time I see him. I want to stop him for good so I never have to run again,” she told him.
“Okay, and you do need to be at full strength. I don’t do this with just anyone either, so it is special to me. I will be doing this for you, and since you are my vampire mate it will be way different,” he said. He couldn’t believe how well she took it. He looked forward to spending time with her and getting to know her. He was lost the moment he was in charge of her, and talked to her face to face. He was hers, and he never wanted anyone else ever. She made him feel desire, passion, lust, and made his pants uncomfortable since she made him very hard. She was everything he wanted in someone. He would be happy to help her and bond with her. He got even closer to her since she gave him permission. She was vibrant and strong in magic, but it was different. There was a magic lock on her. It suppressed her magic and it was because of the crap he gave her. Her ex definitely drugged her since there was a dull energy with it. He had to make it brighter and take off the suppressing stuff by putting his necromancy magic into her with the blood bond. Since she is half vampire it would be easy for him to help with that. He opened up his power and pushed it in. By putting in enough energy pressure he broke her lock. He could feel when it broke off her and to prevent it from happening again, he had to bind her to
him. And it will also signal to other vampires she was his as well. And it will be in her energy. It will also make her want him even more which is a good thing. She couldn’t be controlled, either. She would be his and no other vampire could claim her. She was his permanently once he did this.
She smiled at him, and it made his heart beat faster. She closed her eyes. And he could tell she felt better with it being off.
“I broke it for you since he was suppressing a lot. It will be way different once you get access to your powers and I will help you along the way. Once I tie you to me then no one will be able to mess with you again,” he said.
“Thanks, I feel better already since I can feel myself becoming stronger,” she said.
“Hey, anything you need I will help. You are stuck with me since I am your Protector. I needed someone to come along and change my world and ease my loneliness,” he said.
Her heart beat faster at that. She loved the way he said it since she felt the same way. She wanted to be his forever and she had no issues with tying herself to him.
“Aww...That is cute,” she said.
He smiled at her, “I can’t help it since I am the luckiest guy ever. And I finally have my vampire mate which makes me way happier. Let’s go somewhere more private like my bedroom.”
She nodded, “Sounds good.”
She was done eating anyway. He let go of her even though she didn’t want him to and followed him to his room.
Once she went inside she was amazed. It was pretty nice to her and it had a king sized bed in the middle. He even had a huge TV and game systems. There was a nice oak desk with several compartments for stuff, a gaming chair, and a desktop computer.
“You play video games too?” she asked excitedly.
He smiled, “Yes, I do and it makes me happy you do too since I want you even more.”
The more she got to know him the more she needed him in her life. And he sat on the bed in front of her and held out his hand for her.
“I figured this would be more comfortable for you. And it is a much more private setting for something special.”
She took his hand and he looked into her eyes.
“I take you as my mate to be bonded to me forever and to release your potential so no one will repress it again. Do you accept it?” he asked her.
“Yes, I accept you as my vampire mate forever,” she said.
He kissed her to seal it and he began kissing her fiercely too with more passion. She was his now and he couldn’t wait to taste her blood. He began kissing down her neck and he could tell she wanted him. Her body was urging him to keep going. The tension she had was releasing, too since she was relaxing in his arms and her eyes were closed. He loved how beautiful she looked in his arms while he kissed her. And she was lying down with him on top. She felt so warm and alive more than anyone he had ever met and the most beautiful, too. Perfect. He knew she was his. He trailed kisses down her neck and he had her to where he wasn’t crushing her. She smelled good too, like a fresh clean rainy scent. It made him hard just thinking of it. The desire to make her his grew stronger. She was comfortable while she was laying down. And he kept kissing her neck till he got to a certain part since he was less likely to hurt her here. He preferred the side. Once he found that spot he extended his fangs, and bit down on her. She tensed a bit and then relaxed since a vampire bite will actually hurt then release chemicals to make it feel very good. Her blood ran into his mouth and down his throat. It was the wildest tasting blood he had ever had, and it had a taste of copper to it and sweet, too. And another thing about a vampire bite is it can give a person pleasure like they haven’t had before. He could tell she felt it. Nothing would feel as good as a vampire bond. She was half witch so it hit her differently, and he took enough and stopped when he felt the bond click in place tying them together. He felt her mind lock with his. He stopped drinking from her and sealed it up with his saliva. Neo was full which means he can heal bite marks, but hers would heal and leave a mark indicating she was taken to the rest of vampire society. She opened her eyes, and with a smile sighed. He smiled back and bit his wrist as he looked at her to make blood flow since it was his turn to give it to her. It was one of the more nicer intimate moments. And he couldn’t believe someone was stupid enough to abuse her.
He made her sit up and wrapped his legs around her. He put his bleeding wrist to her mouth, and she drank. His blood filled her mouth and it was the best thing she ever had. And she felt the bond solidify even more, locking them together. It tied them together in every way. And it was then that she knew that she was meant to be his forever. When they slept together for the first time it would be even more intense since she bonded with him like no other. And she felt her power coming back stronger. It was dull before and now it roared to life as did her wolf spirit.
He was back now. The black wolf who helped her with spells was now alive again, and it really messed her up to take that suppressor since some witches come with spirit animals. She remembered panicking when she couldn’t hear him anymore and thought he went away. Nope, he’s back since Neo awakened him and the door keeping him away dissolved. Her power to transform into a wolf was restored. And she felt more alive and less dead. Now she saw why it never worked with anyone else. She needed Neo.
She pulled away and Neos wound closed instantly together leaving the mark of her wolf on him. She marked him, too. His eyes were closed and he smiled. He opened his eyes and looked at his wrist. The shape of a black wolf was on it and he looked amazed.
“Wow, your wolf spirit marked me. That has never happened before and it means you were pretty powerful. It has been a while since I felt this way. I can feel you in my head connected to me. I have never tasted anyone like you before either. I would love to stay with you the whole day here, but I promised your dad we would talk to him to tell him about the threat your ex is. He also needs your help, too,” he said.
She nodded reluctantly, “Okay and then we can finish what we started since I want you to love me. I want to feel you on top of me. In me in every way.”
She winked.
He smiled, “Definitely, and we can definitely feel what it is like to be even closer. Inside each other and satisfy the urge we have toward each other. I can even bite you if you want. I could tell you wanted it. You gripped me hard when I was drinking from you. I do warn you I have been told I can be addictive.”
She smiled, “I will see that for myself. I haven’t heard any complaints since even my stupid ex wants me back. I can tell you will be since I do get addicted easily and now you are all mine. I am happier than I used to be.”
She went from dating the worst to dating the best she has ever had. She needed him like he needed her.
They were already dressed so there was no need to do anything else.
“You will and I can take you to a cool vampire bar tonight as our first date. And we need to see the next course of action, too. So, let’s go and then afterwards we can get a better feel of everything once we are done.”
Chapter 3
Neo and Mina headed out the door and made their way to see her dad. Mina wasn’t worried or nervous since she and her dad talked on and off. She even helped him with spells and rituals before her ex forbade her to do it. It was nice to go back. They actually got along with each other unlike her and her mom.
She didn’t visit her as much since there is a chance she could run into her ex. And she knew all the places he frequented so she avoided them like the plague. She didn’t want to chance it since it meant he might hurt her again. She would visit her mom to tell her everything when it’s safe. Her mom would be happy to see the fact that she ended up with a nice person for once. She doubted she would mind if he is a vampire since she married one. They are pretty happy. She was probably with her coven. She led a lot of witches, and she was pretty high at the top. She had black hair, grey eyes, pale and she was fierce as a witch leader. She taught Mina everything she knew about being a witch and taught her how to control
water and fire with her magic staff. This staff is portable and the size of a pen and when she pushed a button it came to life. Her mother taught how to fight with magic and conjure fire and water defense spells. It would be nice to see her again.
She was there when her ex slammed the door in her face. He was lucky she didn’t hurt him. He called Mina worthless and her mom stuck up for her. She doesn’t deserve his bullshit either. And she even said to move out and get a job somewhere; take a break from it all to heal. Her mom wanted her to get away and get some peace. Taking a break wasn’t an option anymore since he tried to get someone to take her. Now it’s personal.
The drive there was quiet. She was in the passenger seat while Neo was driving. She looked forward to being back at the place. A part of her was ready to be back since she was sick of Nikki’s and the stuck up customers and a part of her wasn’t. Still it would be nice to not have to worry over running and to take care of the assholes responsible for threatening her life. She was done running from her ex and slaving away over idiots who can’t even use their brains to put their own card in the reader. Even supernatural customers are fucking idiots. She needed to confront her ex to move on and do it once and for all since she now had a reason to move on.
Neo gave her hope. It took ten to twenty minutes to get to the Fang Blood coven. It was a huge mansion there since it housed a lot of vampires. Vampires tend to stay together. And they have a lot of blood supplies so they won’t hurt innocents. They get them from blood stores, and there are even restaurants catered to vampires. There are even factories for vampires as well to get blood. They will never hurt innocents or, at least her dad's people won’t. Killing humans for blood or any creature was reserved for enemies. And they will take blood from their lovers since it is a sign of intimacy and trust. She shivered remembering the feel of his fangs slid deep in her skin. It started to feel very good. So good she almost came from it. She didn’t want him to stop at all. She wondered what would happen if other things slid in her as well. And she could feel it making her wet with desire for him. Something she hasn’t felt in a while. She wanted him to claim her in every way now.
