KINGDOM OF THE DEAD
by Anthony Giangregorio
THE DEAD HAVE RISEN!
In the dead city of Pittsburgh, two small enclaves struggle to survive, eking out an existence of hand to mouth.
But instead of working together, both groups battle for the last remaining fuel and supplies of a city filled with the living dead.
Six months after the initial outbreak, a lone helicopter arrives bearing two more survivors and a newborn baby. One enclave welcomes them, while the other schemes to steal their helicopter and escape the decaying city.
With no police, fire, or social services existing, the two will battle for dominance in the steel city of the walking dead. But when the dust settles, the question is: will the remaining humans be the winners, or the losers?
When the dead walk, the line between Heaven and Hell is so twisted and bent there is no line at all.
DEAD MOURNING: A ZOMBIE HORROR STORY
by Anthony Giangregorio
Carl Jenkins was having a run of bad luck. Fresh out of jail, his probation tenuous, he'd lost every job he'd taken since being released. So now was his last chance, only one more job to prevent him from going back to prison. Assigned to work in a funeral home, he accidentally loses a shipment of embalming fluid. With nothing to lose, he substitutes it with a batch of chemicals from a nearby factory.
The results don't go as planned, though. While his screw-up goes unnoticed, his machinations revive the cadavers in the funeral home, unleashing an evil on the world that it has not seen before. Not wanting to become a snack for the rampaging dead, he flees the city, joining up with other survivors. An old, dilapidated zoo becomes their haven, while the dead wait outside the walls, hungry and patient.
But Carl is optimistic, after all, he's still alive, right? Perhaps his luck has changed and help will arrive to save them all?
Unfortunately, unknown to him and the other survivors, a serial killer has fallen into their group, trapped inside the zoo with them.
With the undead army clamoring outside the walls and a murderer within, it'll be a miracle if any of them live to see the next sunrise.
On second thought, maybe Carl would've been better off if he'd just gone back to jail.

The Lazarus Culture
by Pasquale J. Morrone
Secret Service Agent Christopher Kearns had no idea what he was up against. Assigned on a temporary basis to the Center for Disease Control, he only knew that somehow it was connected to the lives of those the agency protected...namely, the President of the United States. If there were possible terrorist activities in the making, he could only guess it was at a red alert basis.
When Kearns meets and befriends Doctor Marlene Peterson of the Breezy Point Medical Center in Maryland, he soon finds that science fiction can indeed become a reality. In a solitary room walked a man with no vital signs: dead. The explanation he received came from Doctor Lee Fret, a man assigned to the case from the CDC. Something was attached to the brain stem. Something alive that was quickly spreading rapidly through Maryland and other states.
Kearns and his ragtag army of agents and medical personnel soon find themselves in a world of meaningless slaughter and mayhem. The armies of the walking dead were far more than mere zombies. Some began to change into whatever it was they ate. The government had found a way to reanimate the dead by implanting a parasite found on the tongue of the Red Snapper to the human brain.
It looked good on paper, but it was a project straight from Hell.
The dead now walked, but it wasn't a mystery.
It was The Lazarus Culture.
