Chapter 3: Whether we are alone

An Alien being could be seen; it was out of breath and appeared to be on board a dying ship, as sparks could be seen in the background. Everyone was shocked and amazed, that they could not run away.

‘Leaders of Earth’ it spoke, ‘I ‘am captain Vilick of the Galactic Alliance Planets, we are under attack from an unknown enemy. We have lost and are now fleeing across the Universe; we are unable to evacuate your planet. From the time your species could gaze the stars, we have protected you, but from this point on; Earth Stands Alone.’ It said, before a break in transmission.

Silence was in the room, as leaders from across the world sat there in wonder of the yellow Alien’s announcement. Secret service agents immediately removed the President from the area, before leaders followed and headed off. The UN building went into panic, as a mass exodus of leaders was under way.

‘Mr. President, Air Force One is on stand by and ready to take off’ head of Secret Service Martina said in the Presidential car

‘James, what about the other leaders?’ asked the President

‘There are all on route to the airport’

‘What do you make of all this’

‘By the reaction of the other heads of state, this was not a practical joke made up nor is it the Russian trying to pull off another Area 51’

  ‘Area 51’

‘The Roswell Aliens, were actually kids that had under gone plastic surgery and placed in saucer shaped planes by the Russians to cause panic in America, according to the CIA’

‘How reliable is the CIA report’

‘It is about 20 percent reliable’

‘Good old CIA, never are they providing reliable information. So this could all just be a joker playing a practical joke on us all right’

‘The Secret Service Mr. President is swiping the building with local police and UN security, if there is some projector then we will find it’ Martina said, before she got a message through her headset, ‘Mr. President, I receiving conformation from the NSA that a possible threat in entering the atmosphere over New York’

‘What’ The President says, before a large spaceship appears in the sky over the JFK international Airport, moving towards the United Nations building, as Susan and everyone else watch it’s approach. ‘I don’t think you will find a projector Martha’

‘Agents at JFK respond’ asked Martha, through her communicator, only to receive a distress call

‘Agents down. We are receiving heavy fire down here’

‘I don’t see any fire’ the President said, as he looked out the window when a flash of light beamed out from the ship, destroying the Statue of Liberty, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden and JFK airport. ‘Good God Almighty’

‘Turn this motorcade around’ ordered Martina, as more ships appeared in the sky

‘I will call an emergency meeting with the joint chief of staff Mr. President’ James uttered, as he called using his cell phone, before the President shouted, ‘call the joint chief of staff, screw the joint chief of staff, and get me the army’

Susan was in shock at what she had seen and with everyone else, evacuated the building when ordered with screams everywhere she looked. Outside the building, she turned at looked in all direction, wondering what to do next when her cell phone rang

  ‘Hello, Pamela’

‘Mom I am so scared’ she said in terror

  ‘Don’t be baby’

‘They told us to get out and when we did we saw these flying spaceships and then the boom; I thought you were dead’

‘No baby I ‘am not dead you hear, I ‘am coming after you ok sweetie; now where are you’

‘I ‘am right outside the Rockefeller Centre’

  ‘Wait for me’

Susan turned in all direction, noticing the large crowds running along the street and ran herself to the Rockefeller Centre, as the ships slowly started to come overhead.

‘Where are we going’ asked President Bush in the car

‘We are going to Newark Defense Base’ Martina answered

  ‘Never heard of it’

‘That is because it is top secret sir, not even the mayor knows it exists’

The President motorcade drove as fast as it could, while Susan ran to her daughters’ side. Susan saw her daughter griped with fear, she ran calling her name, but the screams from the people was too loud for her to hear. It was only when she got right next to her did Pamela respond and ran into her mother’s open arms

  ‘Don’t cry sweetie, its ok’

‘What is happening Mom’ Pamela asked in tears

‘I don’t know but we will be just fine’

A beam of light stroke the UN building as they hugged, blasting it into the ground. They looked on, as the once symbol of hope now lay in ruins.
