  About

Alien princess Suri Ahrisi swears she will not fall in love with the visiting Earth diplomat, Officer Nicholas Thorne. But some promises were meant to be broken, and Suri discovers it’s hard to protect her heart against Nick’s magnifying presence, toe-curling kisses, and scorching touch all over her flesh. She wants him, even if it means jeopardizing her hard work and the purpose of his visit.

Nick got on a spaceship for the first time with a job in mind. But when he lands on Omaron, his mission takes a backseat the moment he sees the breathtaking princess, Suri. He only has a few days to spend on the planet. He sure as hell won’t be devoting them to matters of diplomacy when all he wants to do is explore every inch of the beautiful, luscious princess.

“Here,” she said, reaching her finger up to his lips. “Taste.”

Holding her gaze, he encased her small hand in his and pushed her finger into his mouth. Her breathing hitched as he curled his tongue around her finger and lapped every bit of the sweetness off her skin all the while pinning her with a half-lidded stare. Then he slipped her finger from between his lips.

“That was delicious,” he said, his voice low. “But I bet you taste sweeter.”

Her lips parted, inviting him to take them. He leaned his face down, his movements deliberate so she could register his intent and stop him if she wanted. But she didn’t. There was no fear or disgust in her eyes. Only hunger. She wanted him as much as he wanted her. This truth made him growl in satisfaction before he covered her mouth with his.

Christ, her lips were soft and plump. Fucking delicious. Her moan was like a siren song to his cock, making him painfully hard in seconds and twitching with eagerness. Nick curved his hands around Suri’s body and pulled her to him until her full breasts mashed against his chest. His kiss was hungry and demanding, yet she wasn’t afraid of him. She melted into him as if this was what she’d wanted all along.

As much as he knew they shouldn’t be doing this, that what they did was wrong, it felt like the rightest thing in the world. He’d wasted his life away on Earth if this was what he’d been missing. He held her in a possessive embrace and she made a sound of surprise when the firm result of their kiss pressed against her belly.

  “We shouldn’t,” she said.

  “Of course, we shouldn’t.”

But he kissed her again anyway, his hand sliding up under the edge of the top portion of her sari to caress her bare skin. Her tongue, tasting and twirling with his, brushed away his logic. He sank his fingers into her flesh, marking her as his with his touch. He didn’t give a damn where they did it. On the floor, against the hedge… he just needed her.

  Suri

  —

Afternoon sunlight streaming through tall windows greeted Suri when she stepped into Mikaal’s office. Prior to marrying his human wife, Megan, Mikaal had kept his office stark and militaristic. Since then it was imbued with his family’s personality and brightened with colour. Fresh flowers Megan had picked from the gardens, toys from his son, Kelan, occupied his desk, and the hard-surfaced chairs he’d favoured were replaced with comfortable seats.

Mikaal had changed for the positive too since he’d found love. Gone was his cold sternness and the towering wall he’d built to keep others at bay. His sharp edges were dulled and he’d become approachable. After years of watching the burden of being Klar weigh heavy on Mikaal’s shoulders, it pleased Suri to see her brother so visibly content.

“Suri, it’s good to see you home and well,” he said, closing his holographic screen. “How was your trip to Ilrye?”

Suri scowled as she took a seat. “Mother insisted I bathe in the Red Waters for its healing benefits. She failed to mention the staining that lasts for several hours. Gods above, I looked like a deia demon risen from the depths of hell.” She glared at Mikaal as he laughed, but she gave in to the smile tugging at her lips too.

“Well, you have returned to good news,” he said, a look of pride and triumph on his face. “The plans to integrate Earth into the Union is underway due to your efforts.”

Suri raised her eyebrows. “I thought the Council rejected my proposal.”

“I had them reconsider. We have a human Klara. It’s prudent we acquire stronger ties with her planet.”

“And I suppose the lure of the valuable natural resources plays a part too?”

“I would be a worthless Klar if I did not consider the benefits to Omaron.” Mikaal leaned back in his seat. “I initiated contact with Earth, particularly Megan’s home country, the United States of America. They’ve organized a small team of four to send to Omaron within the next two standard weeks.”

Suri nodded, filled with excitement and pride that her hard work was paying off.

“How long will the team be staying?”

  “Five standard days.”

Suri frowned. “That is a short visit. They won’t be able to explore much of Omaron in such a limited time frame, let alone the rest of the planets within the Union.”

“It’s for their peace of mind. Even though Megan and her sisters are human, the others on Earth will still distrust us. If all goes well, we can organize a longer visit in the future, as well as initiate contact with other Earth countries.” He picked up his comm device and tapped rapidly on the screen. Suri’s comm device pulsed with a notification. “I sent you the details of the team who are coming to visit. What I would like finalized is a guide for them during their stay.”

As Mikaal spoke, Suri tapped her comm device to bring up its holographic screen. She peered at the five still images presented, reading their accompanying background information. One team member in particular captured her full attention.

Officer Nicholas Thorne, the leader of his team, stared at her with intelligent grey eyes. Suri had this ludicrous sense that he saw her even though his features were captured from the past. He had dark hair trimmed at the sides but fuller on the top, his strong jaw clean-shaven. Even though his lips were unsmiling, he was undoubtedly a handsome man.

Her heart beat faster but she ignored it as she read his background. Officer Thorne had served time in the military until he’d switched careers to be a Foreign Service Officer for his country. He resided in a place called Seattle. There was an impressive list of his notable achievements, which included his skill as a negotiator and his ability to speak four languages. At this
point in time, noted his short biography, he was unmarried.

Suri pretended to ignore that last piece of information.

“I will be the guide,” she said without thinking.

“That’s not necessary, Suri. It would demand too much of your time. You are the one who created this opportunity.”

“I am Omaron’s interim ambassador,” Suri said. “I should be their guide. I want this visit to be successful and I trust no-one but myself to ensure that happens.”

Mikaal frowned as he eyed his comm device. “But you have a meeting in Sorea during the period of the team’s visit.”

“I’ll send Mother in my place. I abhor visiting Sorea unless absolutely necessary. Their queen will not rest until I marry her son.”

“I don’t see why marrying Prince Nor is a problem.” Mikaal smirked. “Sorea is a wealthy planet and you could be its queen someday.”

“Oh, Mikaal, don’t start. You sound just like Mother.” Suri glared at him. “It’s easy for you to say such things because you are happily married to the love of your life. I would like the same for myself, you know.”

“Hm, I didn’t know you were such a romantic, dear sister,” Mikaal said, his voice light as he teased her. “If you would like to be their guide, so be it. I’m happy to entrust their fate in your capable hands.” He nodded, a proud smile on his lips. “Excellent work, Suri. Perhaps I might make this position permanent for you.”

Pleased by his words of praise, Suri’s face warmed. Impressing Mikaal was not an easy feat. She’d worked so hard these several months to show him she was more than his little sister who loved to throw parties. To show him she’d grown up and was capable of much more than frivolous activities. It pleased her to know he had noticed.

“Such wonderful news calls for a celebration,” she said. Grinning mischievously, she raised her hand and slipped his bottle of honeyed wine free from its newest hiding place with her telekinesis. The bottle snapped into her hand at the same moment a scowl replaced Mikaal’s smile.

“Gods be damned! Why do you always steal my wine?”

Suri laughed as she got to her feet and headed for the door.

“Because, dear brother, the forbidden is always so much sweeter.”

  —

Suri sighed in pleasure as she settled her naked body into the bath. The flowery odour of the perfume drifting up along with the steam immediately soothed her nerves. The hot water pinched at her skin, turning it pink, but soon, her body grew accustomed to the heat. She smoothed her hands down her arms to relish the slippery texture on her skin.

She closed her eyes and leaned her head back on the cushion as the water lapped at her skin. After meeting with Mikaal this morning to discuss the imminent visit of the team of Earth diplomats, she’d had a long day of meetings on neighbouring planets. Her body ached, her mind frazzled from the amount of information she had to process. A perfume bath always calmed her and returned her to an optimal mental state.

Officer Nicholas Thorne’s handsome face swam into existence behind her closed eyes. Raising her head from the cushion, she opened her eyes and lifted her hand from the water. Her comm device came zooming toward her from where it was perched on her bed.

Suri intentionally avoided looking at Officer Thorne’s picture first. Instead, she read the names of the other three people. There was Officer Thorne’s assistant, Helen Potts from Portland. A pretty dark-haired woman, her dark-brown eyes staring through spectacles similar to the kind Jillian wore. The other two were Paul Rodriguez and Gregory Miles. The two men possessed similarly hardened, stoic features. They looked less like diplomatic team members and more like military men ready to annihilate anyone who posed a threat. Much like the Ahmenian guards that protected the palace. As suspected, their biography listed their service in the army.

Finally, when she couldn’t restrain herself any longer, she returned to Office Thorne’s picture. She noted other little things. The way his grey eyes were inflected with blue. The diminutive mole on his neck. The way his lips had the tiniest curve on the right.

He exuded confidence even in a still image. That tiny smirk spoke to her. Sent a carnal message to her body. Told her he would be exceptional at many times. None of which had anything to do with diplomacy between two planets.

He would be an amazing lover.

  Stop that!

Suri closed her eyes and shook her head. She couldn’t let her mind traverse those paths. Yet now that the thought had come to life, it sprouted tall and irremovable. Instead of being impressed by his credentials, she focused on the way his lips promised ecstasy of unmatched levels. The still image was cut off at his midsection, so she could enjoy the way his charcoal-grey suit advertised the impressive breadth of his shoulders, the thickness of his arms, and his broad chest.

He was visibly tall. He would tower over her, dominate her not just in height, but in wicked ways her body hadn’t felt in a while.

Perhaps that was the reason why her thoughts were so unprofessional? She’d not had a lover for some time. Suri wasn’t sure whether it was her tastes or her position as a princess, but the few men she’d taken to her bed had all disappointed her in some fashion. Mostly because of their opportunistic ways. All they thought of was elevating themselves in status or wealth. They had been average lovers at best. Grand promises whispered in her ear, yet unsatisfactory delivery when they finally managed to get her beneath them.

She’d given up any hope she’d find a man who wanted her. Not her title or her money or the benefits of her relation to the Klar. A man who saw her as the only desirable thing he needed. The only man who’d sparked her interest was Jonnar Dorayan, her brother’s closest friend. But he’d only ever seen her as a sister. And the moment he’d exhibited attraction to Jillian—the woman who was now his wife and mother of his daughter, Tamiah—Suri had immediately lost interest in him.

Now here she was, alone, her body ravenous for attention.

Licking her bottom lip slowly, Suri set her comm device down on the damp edge of the circular bath. Her face hot with shame yet between her legs warm with arousal, she smoothed her hands over her wet, bare breasts and closed her eyes. Officer Thorne’s face appeared, her mind bringing him to life, giving him a voice. She pretended it was his big hands cupping her breasts, his thick fingers pinching and pulling on her nipples.

Suri moaned as her hand skimmed past her stomach down between her legs where she burned the most for Officer Thorne’s touch. As she parted her plump lips with her fingers, she envisioned the warm water on her sensitive nub as his wet tongue tasting her for the first time. He’d look up at her with those brilliant grey eyes and tell her how sweet she tasted. How he couldn’t wait to fill her with his cock.

Suri plunged her fingers into her heat, imagining Officer Thorne’s powerful frame looming over her, his hard flesh pushing into her with punishing thrusts. She put her other hand to use squeezing her left breast. Tiny, helpless gasps escaped her. She was caught up in her dirty fantasy of being fucked hard by a human male she’d never met.

Grinding the heel of her hand against her nub, Suri whimpered as she came on her fingers. Only, it wasn’t her fingers in her fantasies. It was Officer Thorne’s cock her inner walls gripped. Squeezing him, milking his seed into her body. He’d groan for her, tell her how amazing she felt coming on his thick, hard rod.

Suri panted, her heart pounding in her chest. Her juices smeared the insides of her thighs, and she rubbed her legs together beneath the water. She opened her eyes and in the stark light of her large bathroom when arousal wasn’t clouding her judgement, mortification reigned.

She shouldn’t have done that. Now how would she look Officer Thorne in the eye without remembering this moment? Thank the gods humans weren’t capable of reading minds. No doubt he’d find her actions distasteful and would be unwilling to proceed with the negotiations.

Splashing water onto her hot face, Suri brushed the embarrassment aside. What did it matter? She felt relieved n
ow that she’d touched herself. A dirty fantasy couldn’t hurt anyone because it was trapped in her head.

And that’s where it would stay. After all, she would never get the chance to make her fantasy with Officer Thorne a reality.

  Nick

  —

The invisible force holding Nick against his seat like a seatbelt released him once the spaceship came to a stop. The ship’s captain got to his feet. Nick stood as well and mild vertigo accosted him. He gripped the back of his seat for support as he breathed deeply to reorient himself.

Nick checked his wristwatch to see how much time had elapsed since he’d left Earth. Of course, the watch no longer worked. Space flight was an unfamiliar territory for him and he doubted Earth time was relative to that of the new planet they’d just landed on called Omaron.

“Everyone good?” he asked, addressing his tiny crew of three. “You OK, Helen?”

Helen struggled to stand, her lips pressed together tightly as if she were utilizing every available drop of willpower in her body not to puke.

“I want to vomit, sir,” she said. “But I won’t. I promise.”

Nick regarded her with sympathy. “Sure you don’t want to use the bathroom before we leave?”

“No, sir. I’ll be fine.” She gathered her bags and walked stiffly toward where the ship’s captain stood, ready to release the ramp.

Paul and Greg—the guards he didn’t need but which his superior had insisted he carry for protection—didn’t seem to fare much better than Helen. But Nick didn’t worry too much about them. They were tough. As an erstwhile military man himself, Nick knew they’d fared worse things than hurtling through space during their time in the army.

“All right,” Nick said as they all huddled near the ramp, waiting for it to open. “I didn’t have a speech prepared, so one step for man and all that. Just don’t step on anyone’s toes.”
