took care of that little bit of business earlier this

  morning.”

“We were too tired for the full

experience,” Lance admitted. “I did not wish to

make Felicity’s first time such a hurried affair,

but it could not be helped.”

“I’m amazed you tore yourself away,”

  she teased.

  “Not to worry,” Lancelot grumbled,

blushing. “The opportunity to explore the thing

completely cannot be too far off.”

“Ah,” she said, nodding sagely. “A

pressing matter indeed. I wish you good luck in

  it, considering the current situation.”

“Come, then, we ought to find our

employer, and I believe he may be in the place

we just discussed,” Lance said, trying to act

nonchalant about the conversation they were

  having.

Amara took his cue, and simply followed

where he led. She seemed quite impressed by the

entrance, and equally impressed by the fountain

  she found just inside.

“So this contraption has something to do

with the Veil you were talking about?” she asked

  curiously.

  “Yes,” Felicity answered. “There are

only a very few of these in existence. The

trouble is the magical field being generated to

hide us from the outside realm imbues

everything it touches with too much magic.

  430

That’s why we want your dragons to help us

farm. No edible plants can be grown here.”

“There is probably another way to

remedy that,” she commented. “You could

create pockets of non-magical space where the

crops might grow right here inside your own

realm. The spell you seek resides in your hand at

this very moment, human, within the Grimoire

Draconis itself. But, of course, that can be

  discussed at another time.”

Looking down every row as they went,

they finally found Dervish in the sitting room

within the break area, sipping at some tea. When

he saw the trio come in, he immediately got to

his feet, staring at Amara like a love-sick puppy.

“Well, hello, my friends,” he said with a

debonair grin. “And who is this lovely lass ye’ve

brought along with ye? She could only be a

  princess.”

Amara blushed and extended her hand,

curtsying briefly before him. “You are a true

diplomat, sir,” she told him with a blush. “But

please, do continue with your praises, for they

are music to my old ears.”

  Lancelot and Felicity wrinkled their

noses at each other, an interaction Dervish did

not fail to notice. With a slight raising of his

brow, he bowed to the princess as well.

“Would ye like to take a tour of the

facility, my dear?” he asked her as he cast a

sideways glance at the two and smirked. “Ye ken

it could take quite a while to show ye everything

the place has to offer, and catch ye up to speed

on current history. I am right in assuming ye are

  the dragoness these two sought?”

“Indeed I am,” she said, winking at him.

“And I would love to have a look around.”

Without another word, the pair left

Lancelot and Felicity standing there. The two of

them gaped as they wandered out of view.

“Well, how do you like that?” Felicity

  asked.

“I like it just fine,” said Lance as he

  watched her face avidly.

It dawned on Felicity then that they were

  completely

  alone,

  and

  would

  remain

undisturbed for a decadently long period of time.

Her heart began to pound at the look in

Lancelot’s eyes as he surged forward and

  dragged her into his arms.

With feverish kisses, he dragged her

with him to the couch and covered her body with

his own. Their lips crushed together, and their

  tongues twined.

“Lancelot Jones, I need you so!” Felicity

told him on a little groan. “But what if they

  return?”

Lance was rubbing his clothed erection

in a most tantalizing spot between her thighs.

But now he raised up and unzipped his pants and

  pulled his underwear aside.

“I’m not taking any more chances, my

sweet,” he informed her wickedly. “I hope you

  don’t mind.”

Before she had any chance to answer,

he’d flicked his wand, and she found that the

bottom half of her clothing was gone, and then

Lance was deep inside her, making her moan

  with delight.

His hands tangled into her tawny curls as

he tasted her sweet lips, and their eyes met and

held. Wordlessly, they told each other of the

  love they shared.

“Gods, Lance, that’s so good!” Felicity

gasped with a heady delight as he continued to

  rock her world.

  Sometime later, Dervish and Amara

returned to the doorway, but the sounds coming

from the room were far too amorous, so they

stopped short and cast each other amused

glances. With a deep bow, Dervish offered

  Amara his arm.

“Perhaps another turn, my dear?” he

  inquired.

“We’d better make it two,” she said. “I

have it on good authority that those two are

  hoping to take their time.”
