He was in the military you know”.
I nodded in agreement.
“Mhm. You could tell by his stance. The air around him is intense and controlled,” I shook my head in admiration, “aura leakin’ out”. You’d be blind as heck if you couldn’t tell”. I snickered. “I’m with you on that”. He said back. We stood there in silence for a moment. Were it not for the shuffling of feet on dirt covered ground I could have been ogling Evan for hours. I would if I could.
I sighed heavily and turned towards the noise. Both Elise and Nika were mingling with the group under the doorway—which I honestly forgot about.
“That you’re crew?” I asked Evan playfully.
Amusement glittered in his eyes, he chuckled.
“I suppose you could call ‘em that”. I tilted my head to the other side and pursed my lips. I looked past his broad shoulder and instantly rolled my eyes at the sight. Heck yeah Evan was one fine piece of Man, but I still could not believe the insanely, unnecessary collection of dudes before me. All hail the apocalypse!
Elise was standing slightly to the side, nodding her head when- ever she feels compelled to. A light blush spread above her cheeks. Whereas Nika talked animatedly to the group. One person in particular. I again recognized that head of spiky dirty blond hair.
“Jade! Get your big butt over here”. Elise hollered. I giggled and peeked over at Evan—who by the way was still staring at me.
A bit creepy but I like the attention he’s giving me
“Well, I guess we should head on over to them huh”. I laughed nervously. He gave me one of those odd looks of his and laughed. He stepped to the side and held out his hand, gesturing towards the group. I walked past him and heard a slight cough behind me. Thank you Elise for oh so announcing the size of my rump for all to hear. You just gave him something to gawk at. And I’m not even sure if I should be ashamed or flattered.
I’m weird.
The end
