In this way, many years passed. All was well, and the threat of Olyvard King and his vengeance was the furthest thing from their minds. But all evils left to simmer will eventually boil over, and Olyvard King of Dathrond was no exception. For during those years, his kingdom had recovered from the destruction of his armies in Korengad, and Dathrond had once again established itself as the wealthiest and most powerful of all the five realms.
Olyvard, no less greedy or malicious despite beginning to show his age, had never forgotten Darion’s treachery. The Pathfinders had reported Darion’s return long ago, but Olyvard had refrained from sending anyone else to find him for fear of the Warcaster’s power. Now everything was finally ready, and Olyvard would not make the same mistake again.
