Damp heat swirled around his cock. He plunged deep before pulling back to tease her with shallow strokes. She went wild for him, hooking her heels behind his thighs and pulling him back in. Her animalistic instinct spurred him on.

Soft moans filled the air. He didn’t know where his ended and hers began. They mingled in a song of love filled with power and joy.

The glide of her silky skin against his brought him closer to the edge. He listened for the telltale hitch in her breath before pushing harder, faster, and deeper. She tensed beneath him. Her shuddering moan echoed against his throat. The vibration ricocheted straight to his cock.

He groaned as pulsing waves of heat burst free. He filled her with deep strokes until every last ounce of strength left his body.

After, he cradled her against his chest. Her contented sigh tickled his neck.

“I could get used to this,” she said.

“Good, because you’re going to have to.” Soft coos came from the living room. “That’s my cue to make a bottle.”

“I could definitely get used to this.” She snuggled into the blankets.

“I’ll be back in a minute.”

He pulled on a robe and padded into the living room. He checked Tucker’s diaper before hoisting him into his arms. He carried his son into the kitchen.

As they waited for the formula to heat up, he played with his son. Tucker’s fingers wrapped around one of Kade’s in a surprisingly hard grip.

  “You’re getting strong, aren’t you?”

  “Ahh!”

  Kade laughed.

When the bottle was the right temperature, he carried Tucker back into the bedroom. He lay next to his mate while he fed his son. Their family had had an unconventional start, but love could overcome anything. And right now, there was enough love in the room to sustain an entire bear clan.

  Nine Months later…

Emily held a twin in each arm as she walked through the harvest festival. The park in the center of town was decorated with ripe pumpkins and funny-faced scarecrows. The scent of candied apples and pumpkin pie filled the air. Kade held Tucker’s hand as he walked alongside his wife. Their little man hadn’t completely mastered the art of balance, but he’d started toddling around several weeks ago.

“How about here?” she pointed to an open space.

  “Perfect.”

After Kade laid down a large blanket, she arranged the children in the center. Although the twins had been born a month early, they were both in perfect health. This was their first time outside for any length of time, so she’d waited until dusk to head over to the festival. They weren’t planning on staying long, but she’d promised her mother-in-law that they’d at least make an appearance.

“Emily!” Kade’s mom waved and headed toward them. Sheriff Hannity held her hand.

The two had been married in a simple civil ceremony. They hadn’t wanted to fuss with a big wedding after spending months helping Emily and Kade plan theirs. Emily didn’t blame her one bit, and was overjoyed to see how happy she was with the sheriff.

“How are my grandbabies?” She and the sheriff sat together on one edge of the blanket.

“Perfect. Kaleb and Courtney are eating well,” Emily said.

“I hope they’re not biting too hard. Kade was a terrible biter.”

Emily laughed as Kade shook his head. His mom’s embarrassing comments were awkward at first, but now Emily loved them.

“Hey guys!” Kade’s brother Tristan ambled over with his wife Crystal. “I wasn’t sure if you were going to make it with the little munchkins.”

“Fall is my favorite season,” Emily said. “I’ve been looking forward to the festival for weeks.”

  “Me too,” Tristan said.

“Have you tried the candy corn cotton candy?” Crystal asked as she laid a blanket on the ground next to Emily’s.

  “Not yet.”

“Have some of mine.” Crystal pulled a bag of bright yellow fluff out of her huge purse.

“Do you want some hot chocolate, honey?” Kade asked.

  “Sure.”

“I’ll go with you,” Tristan said.

“How are you feeling?” Emily asked Crystal.

“Nervous. I’m only three months along and all I can think about is everything that can go wrong.”

“You’ll be fine. You have the whole family here ready to help.”

  “We’re so lucky.”

“I know. I count my blessing every day.” Emily spotted Peter, one of Kade’s other brothers. “Over here!”

Peter’s wife Lisa spotted her first. She nudged her husband who held onto their toddler Monica’s hand.

When Kade and Tristan returned, the whole family shared a giant bag of kettle corn. They shared sodas and sipped hot chocolate until the firework show started.

Emily’s heart filled with the joy of being part of a huge, happy family. She’d never been surrounded by so much love. Kade had brought more than just love into her life, he’d brought a new sense of peace and contentment.

As she leaned into his arms and cradled her children, she smiled. Fireworks burst into the air to illuminate her family’s faces. This was the perfect way to end a fall day, surrounded by everyone she loved.
