JOURNAL ENTRY:
I decided to walk up into the woods where I live. On the way up into the woods I passed the last houses before I entered the woods. I stopped to tie my shoe and I began to think that I was leaving civilization and I was entering Mother Nature’s turf.
As I walked up an old dirt road and saw that they were weeds growing in the dirt road and there were branches all over the road it hits me.
Not many people ever used this road except me and I haven’t been on it since I was about ten years old.
The deeper I walked into the woods the more alone I felt. I could hear squirrels and see some birds but I was alone. I couldn’t just yell through the house for my parents or call a friend on the phone.
If my parents cared anymore.
As if I had friends.
As I walked I saw no signs of civilization until I stepped on a Coke can. My heart rate slowed, even though I hadn’t even noticed it was racing. Seeing this can, this modern convention had reminded me that I’m a modern cowboy of TV, trucks, and food at my feet.
But for the little while that I walked through the woods I was in another time.
For that little while I wasn’t a freak scared they were going to come take me away at any moment when someone makes the call and reports me.

Here I sit trying to think about a short topic to write about. Well, I could write about how many days my teachers miss but that wouldn’t be very nice but then again I ant very nice.
Or I could write about how strange the first time I changed was.
The first time my own mother called me a monster.

JOURNAL ENTRY:
Tonight I sit looking at a painting of Tom Baker on my room wall hanging over my desk and for some reason I’m writing my thoughts down in my English journal. In part this is because I need all the points my journal will give me toward my final grade and in part because…I don’t know…chaos! I can’t remember where I got it and that’s unusual for me. Tom Baker is an actor and a great one if you ask me who was on my favorite TV show Doctor Who. Wonder if even The Doctor would have a companion that did the strange things I do.

I’m so bored that I’m actually doing something I’m supposed to, writing something in my journal. I’m writing about my plans to put out a monthly comic book starting in June. Now all I have to do is find an artist to work with. Best of luck with that considering most of the families in this town tell their kids not to even talk to me.

I’m sitting in my truck in the student parking lot. I have five minutes before I have to go to work so I decided to write something in my journal……..Let’s see two minutes has passed. I think I’ll tell you about my truck. It’s a small size 1985 Ford Ranger with a lot of miles and a few dents, kind of like me. But also like me it might start out slow but once it gets going its…..I’m the best.
But unlike me it doesn’t change.
It’s not feared by its family either.
BREAKING NEWS: Greeks strike over media closure to shut down coverage of countries economy…
BREAKING NEWS: Someone, somehow broke into NSA offices and painted WHAT PRICE FREEDOM over all the walls…

What I learned While Writing This: Lesson learned while writing this: That even if something doesn’t work out the way you like, doesn’t mean you can’t rip it to bloody shreds to find something you love about it.

d sort of along those lines of thinking…
The comic book script for Paranormal Harms Way was a project that fell away by no ones fault except that life happens; which was meant to be a comic book series set within the Tin Universe. The page count and formatting of the script was on request by the artist who was to work on the project with me. He wanted minimal description and only bits of dialogue. The project ended before I could even deliver this fist script. It didn’t pan out because of issues but I like the characters. They will turn up in future Tin Universe stories. I promise. In time. I hope I live a long time because I gots lots of plans.
