“Samuel!” she cried out, her body shaking harder.
She could feel the pleasure growing low in her body, and she dug her nails into his skin as that pleasure spread, her walls convulsing around his cock, causing him to groan. He gave one, two, three thrusts, and then came right after her. They held onto each other in the throes of orgasm, and when her body calmed down, she slumped against him, feeling sleepy.
After a minute, Samuel slowly eased her down. Then, he carefully washed them both, and she trembled and gasped when he fingered her to clean out her insides as well. Then, he picked her up and walked her out of the shower. He sat her down on the edge of the tub again, and took a towel to wipe them both dry, before taking her back to the bed. He had her sit on the edge. He changed the sheets and covers on the bed before they both slid in. They were cold, but slowly warmed up with their body heat.
“Do you feel better now?” he asked, holding her to his chest.
She sighed happily and nodded. She felt like she could sleep peacefully after this. His hand went to her cheek, and she looked up. They’d left the light in the bathroom on with the door closed almost all the way, so she could see him.
“I know… things aren’t that great right now. But it’s only a bump in the road. A big, terrifying one, but one that we’ll get through eventually, sweetheart, okay? We have our whole future ahead of us.”
She sighed. “Our future…”
She liked the sound of it. Her eyes closed as she slowly fell back asleep. She almost thought it sounded hopeful.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Adrien
It wasn’t easy, getting away. When the oil tanks exploded, he’d been just out of the blast zone. He’d stayed low, made it to the field and just kept going. He collapsed at some point, and hallucinated for a while after that. He came too sometime later in the hospital in Canada of all places. He was by himself, in a foreign country, with no id, no money and no passport. Not to mention not in the best of shape. However, Adrien was determined to make his way back to New York.
Back home.
He was in a better condition now than when he first took Camila too, which was a plus. He’d heard that he’d apparently caught an infection in his shoulder, and remembered Camila’s words about infecting him. The bitch! It was enough to make him grit his teeth and think of when he would have his hands on her again, and all the things he would do to her.
He recalled one particular hallucination… well, he’d thought he was hallucinating, but apparently, he had been strangling a nurse and not Camila, but still, the feeling of his hands around her neck… Oh yeah… that had felt good.
Even if she was sick, all he had to do was cover her mouth, lay her face down and do what he wanted with her instead of waiting on that bitch to get better.
There were so many things he planned on doing once they were reunited, and they all played around in his mind as he moved. He thought of his brother as well, of course. He would pay him back for beating him and leaving him to get caught or shot by the cops. But hurting Camila was the best way to hurt his brother, so it still circled back to her.
He should have given her hell while he still had her, but right then, he was like a rat, running around dark, dirty places trying not to get caught, and expending a lot of effort in the process. It wouldn’t be much different once he was back in the city, but he knew he needed to be in New York.
If he wanted to make any progress, and not get caught, he knew it was the place to be, even if it was also where there was a manhunt going on for him. He wasn’t stupid, though. In a big place like New York City, it would be easier to slip through the cracks. And he had stashes around the city with things he’d need. All he had to do was find them and then he’d be on his way to making Camila pay for her mistakes.
It was simple enough. The shock collar he’d put around Camila’s neck while she was passed out on the day he captured her, hadn’t been the only thing he’d done to her to assure his success. He had also inserted a small, bird-style subcutaneous CPS tracker under her skin at the base of her skull where it wouldn’t be noticed, and he would soon know where they were.
The GPS he’d used was pretty advanced, also hard to find. Even if they put her in a hospital, no one would be looking for it, so they wouldn’t have found it. And all he needed to find their location was a computer.
First, he needed a little cash and some supplies from his stash. Then, he was going to go hunting.
It was all pretty easy, almost so easy that he got bored. He’d actually got around a lot more than his brother had known before their parents ‘accident’, so he had friends everywhere. Well, he called them friends, but they were really just people who did things for him, either for money or for their own amusement. This time, since he didn’t have cash on him, he went to get what he’d left with one of those latter friends.
Everything else was ready in no time at all, and finding a computer was as easy as walking into an internet café and making the least payment allowed, since he wouldn’t be sticking around. He didn’t know how close they were monitoring the streets for him, so he had on a hoodie to cover himself up without making it too obvious. His hair had grown out, and he had a bit of a beard after not shaving for so long, so unless someone really looked, they shouldn’t be able to figure out who he was too quickly.
Once he tracked down the GPS location, it was time to go on the hunt.
He didn’t need to take a lot of stuff with him. Just some nice, dark clothes to blend into the night, and a nice weapon to help him out. He had the location noted down, so once he had those, he was on his way.
Moving around in such a large city was pretty easy. Finding a car to steal was even easier. He’d only take it until he was close enough, but he knew he’d have to move some distance on foot. After all, if he approached so obviously, they’d find out too soon, and it just wouldn’t be any fun for him. He felt a grin curve his lips as he drove off.
It was still pretty early in the day. He found an out of the way place on the route and parked the car, then waited for it to get a bit dark. Once the sun set, he only waited a little bit before getting out of the car and starting on his way. He whistled as he walked, hands tucked into the pockets of his hoodie.
The walk was really long. Longer than he’d expected. But he didn’t mind. He was close to getting everything he wanted. He had a borrowed phone that he was using to keep track, and he would pull it out to check every so often to make sure he was heading the right direction.
He was.
He checked the phone again, looking at the time, it wasn’t too late, he should get there after they’d all gone to bed, which would be a good time for what he had planned. He even felt a little joyful, knowing everything he wanted would be right at the end of his path. Once he got there, it would all be worth it; he would have his fun.
Finally, after what felt like a long time, he made it. It was in a remote area where there weren’t any other buildings in the vicinity, so when his tracking led him right to a private house that he could see off in the distance, he knew he had the place.
Must be one of the family’s safe-houses. Father always good about keeping things from me.
It didn’t look like anything the cops would offer, after all. Too big and flashy while trying to be discreet, and only good if it’s existence wasn’t known before-hand. Lucky for him, though, he didn’t need to know, he had the trusty GPS to send him right where he needed to go, so their little trick to try and hide from him meant nothing. He knew that Samuel would try to hide her away from him. And there were plenty of these places set up in all sorts of random locations by their parents. Shaking his head, he grinned. Not that it mattered in the end. He’d found them.
Getting in shouldn’t be trouble for him.
First though, he had to deal with the guard detail.
As expected, there were cops standing around outside, just inside the concrete barrier beyond the gate. He was still some ways off, but there was li
ghts on around the house, so he could clearly see a cop walking around, just at the edge of the shadows. So the guy wouldn’t see him, he held himself still when he looked his way.
When the cop looked away, he made his move. He moved silently forward, pulling out the knife he’d brought along. A gun would have been better, but guns always made unnecessary noise, and it would just call more of them.
He slipped agilely over the concrete barrier and dropped down to the grass. Sneaking up on the cop was pretty simple. He was just a bit out of the light, too, and because he was under the brightness, seeing things in the shadows wasn’t easy for him. Adrien was practically right on him before he realized there was someone there, but it was too late.
With a hand on the man’s mouth to cover any noise, he stabbed him, right in the side, digging the knife as deep as it would go and twisting. Then, he let him go, and he fell to the ground.
Adrien waited a bit to be sure he was really dead, before taking off the guy’s uniform. He sneered at the now dirty shirt and cursed himself for not making it a bit cleaner, but whatever. The cop had a jacket on, too, and he didn’t catch it.
He put the clothes on, and used the uniform to get close to the other cop. She was a bit of a distance off, and only glanced at him before looking away. The officer had very kindly had a cap on himself, and Adrien now wore it, hiding his face away from her, right up until he was close enough. She noticed him, then, and tried to raise a ruckus, but it was too late.
He’d left the knife with the other body, so when she went for her gun, he just launched himself at her and hit her, hard enough to shove her to the ground. He heard her head hit the ground with a loud thump, and felt he’d injured her severely enough that she wouldn’t get up any time soon. Her gun, that she’d managed to pull out of its holster, had dropped several steps away.
His eyes fell on it, and he grinned.
Now, Camila. It’s time to get back to our fun game, isn’t it?
Next, he had to get through the place’s security, but it he knew it wouldn’t be anything that hard. Not for him. There were likely cameras around the property, and either someone wasn’t watching properly, or his attack was just too sudden and unexpected, but whoever it was probably wasn’t doing their job. In moments, he was in front of the door. He needed a passcode to get in, but knowing his parents and his brother the way he did, that was easy enough to do.
Couldn’t they have made it a challenge, at least, he snorted as he punched in the code and the light lit green.
He then just walked right into the safe house. It was night, but clearly not late enough for everyone to have gone to sleep. He was immediately recognized, and all hell broke loose.
Chapter Twenty-Four
Camila
How? How in the hell was Adrien here? Why the hell was Adrien here and how did he know where to even find us?
Camila wailed in her mind, but outwardly, she couldn’t even scream.
Not so for Brianna, who was the first to check who it was when they heard the door open. They were all in the kitchen just sitting down to a late dinner, after spending the evening swimming. They’d all gone to shower and change before making dinner together and by the time they’d reached the table it was after nine.
Brianna had been standing in the kitchen entryway, so it was only a few steps to the living room for her. She didn’t always make sounds, and hadn’t even attempted it since her last run in with Adrien, but she had been getting better. She wasn’t talking, but she was communicating again via text and signing.
So, when Camila heard the scream, she jumped up.
“Brianna!”
The others weren’t far behind her, but she still got there faster than everyone else.
She saw him. Immediately, she recognized him. He was a little different, dressed in a police uniform and with the cap on, but even with his slightly grown out hair and beard, she would recognize him. How could she not? He hadn't looked that much different at the farmhouse.
Somehow, he had found the safe-house. Just looking at him, she felt as if she couldn’t move. It was why he was able to get closer to her and grab her before she could even realize what was happening and try to save herself. She yelped when he yanked on her, dragging her backwards as her mom and Samuel showed up at the living room entrance, only to freeze when they saw who it was.
“Big brother,” Adrien said, sounding extremely happy. “And even little sister and some random woman who must be my mom-in-law. The family’s all complete, here!”
He’d turned Camila around so her back was to him, and she was seeing three horrified faces in her vision. Even Samuel and her mom, who she expected to be angry, had that same expression, and they were both looking at Adrien.
They didn’t have those expressions when he broke into the mansion.
Back then, they had both looked pissed, definitely, but horrified? Almost scared? No way. So, it made her wonder what they were seeing, and it only made her even more horrified herself. She made a small noise in the back of her throat, but it didn’t amount to anything.
In the back of her mind, everything that happened before played in a loop, with bits and pieces added from her nightmares, as if it wasn’t frightening enough. Some of them, she didn’t even remember actually happening, so they must be the nightmares she’d forgotten.
“What’s wrong, big brother?” Adrien said with a laugh. “You don’t look all that happy to see me! And sis, my, you do look wonderful. I did kinda hope that you didn’t make it after that fall, but…” he sighed. “You were just in the way and I shoved you out of it, so it doesn’t really matter, either way.”
“I hope you don’t think you’re getting out of here now that you’ve come here, Adrien,” Samuel snarled.
He was slowly regaining himself, his expression shifting to something hard. Yet, the worry he felt was still very plain for Camila to see.
No, really, what is it?
She got her answer a moment later when she heard something click. Then, something cold and hard was pressed to her temple. She jumped a little, and Adrien’s other hand, on her opposite shoulder, tightened a little.
“Whoa, there, Camila!” he chuckled. “If you do that, you might just startle me, and I’ll pull the trigger by total accident. None of us want that, right? Camila brains splatter all over the wall and carpet. That would be quite the mess, don’t you think?”
Camila watched as Samuel’s hands clenched, and his jaw tightened, the fear in his eyes deepening.
Ah, she realized. He has a gun.
She felt her body start to quake and her mind started to shut down.
“Now, Camila,” he murmured, getting right in her ear. “Isn’t this a familiar situation, huh? Oh, except then, it was Brianna that I was holding this way. I had to drag you because you were unconscious for that part. And that old woman over there—is she your mom?—she was the one to give me the bullet in my shoulder. Thanks for that, Mom. Did you know Camila tried her very best to poison me through that bullet wound? It didn’t work though, I’m all better now.”
He paused, but Camila didn’t say a thing; she couldn’t. She felt fucking petrified at the madness in Adrien’s voice, and she couldn’t even get her vocal chords to work.
Adrien chuckled. “Speaking of that, Camila, what you did wasn’t right, you know? Slowly poisoning me, and pretending you were helping me. Not nice at all. How did you even do it? You never moved away from me while you were changing my bandages for me…I’ll have to think up a very special punishment for that, won’t I?”
What pretend! she screamed in her mind. Of course I wouldn’t help you, you frigging jack-ass! I was your prisoner, not your newlywed wife!
It was a very small voice in her mind, though, one full of indignation that had made an appearance a lot while at the farmhouse. She swallowed, but didn’t try to say anything.
“Well, now, I didn’t expect you to answer,” Adrien said with an insane chuckle.
She felt the cold me
tal on her temple move a little, as well as the hand on her shoulder, and she imagined him shrugging.
“I’m going to be paying you back for that soon enough. Now, I really wanted to stick around and play, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do that.”
Camila’s mouth parted, and she let out a light breath. She actually wanted to ask, but couldn’t.
Adrien sighed and answered her unasked question anyway. “I left one of those people outside alive, and I’m sure you had more than just two patrolling the area. I don’t know how long it’ll take for her to be up and moving about, either, and it’ll be troublesome for me if they call for backup, so… Camila and I should make our goodbyes, now. Say goodbye, Camila.”
She felt the pressure at her temple increase, her head tilting with it, but he just pushed the tip of the gun harder into her skin and she whimpered.
“Why don’t you be a good girl and follow me quietly, Camila. Do it, or I will shoot everyone else in here, and then drag you with me.”
Her back stiffened. He had sounded playfully insane before, but his voice suddenly went cold. It was undeniably a demand.
She looked at the other three with pleading eyes. Pleading for them to save her, to pull her out of the situation she found herself in. It might be unfair, but right then, she didn’t think she could save herself.
“Adrien, stop this!” Samuel said, his voice slightly loud with a hint of desperation. “Whatever else there is that you want, it’s yours. The family properties, company, money. My life and my name, you can have it all, just let her go. You’ve already done more than enough!”
Adrien was silent for a moment, and then suddenly, he broke out into a laugh.
“Oh, big brother! Still so funny! I don’t need you to give me free things, if you’re going to be like that. But really, the one thing that I really want is Camila, and you’re not just going to hand her over, right?”
