Dash slowed himself down, allowing Dejon to try again.

“Take a deep breath,” he instructed Kiki as he slid the better part of himself in her ass.

“Yes. This feels amazing. Keep going.”

“I’m almost there.” He dipped his mouth to the back of her neck, allowing her blonde hair to cover his face as he drove himself further, deeper, inside her.

“There. That’s it,” Dash grunted. “Now the three of us are connected.”

  “Fuck.”

“I feel like I’m going to split in two,” Kiki gasped.

“Relax. Take another breath.” A new sense of control came over Dejon.

On his back, Dash licked Kiki’s breasts, tightening his lips around her left nipple and then her right, causing her to squirt a little over their dicks.

“I’m going to come,” Dash shouted just before he filled Kiki with his hot seed.

Dejon slowed down his anal sex tempo, watching his brother slide himself out of her folds. Withdrawing slowly, Dejon then pushed inside Kiki’s vagina for the very first time.

“Oh, Dejon. You feel so good. That’s it. Don’t stop.”

He picked up his rhythm again, fucking her hard and fast until like his brother, he drained himself inside her.

The three of them lay in bed together, limbs crossed in all angles to the point where Dejon couldn’t tell where one body began and another ended. As they drifted in and out of sleep, he sat up in bed and knew what he had to do next.

Slowly, quietly, he crept out of the bed, leaving the room to go down the hall and out of the apartment. He crossed the street and found a payphone, dialed 911, and said, “I’m Dejon Turay, the diamond thief everyone is looking for. My brother, Dash, and I are ready to turn ourselves in.” He gave them their address and headed back upstairs to take a shower.

Surprisingly, the NYPD took their time, barely arriving within the hour. The three of them were arrested, taken downtown, and placed into separate holding rooms. Dejon gave a statement and was charged with a litany of crimes, from stealing to conspiracy of attempted murder.

  Twelve Months Later

A year had passed and both her lovers had been freed from prison after serving their time. Granted, they’d been let out early for good behavior. By the end of the trial, none of the diamond companies had wanted to press charges, as the publicity they’d received about how the diamonds were mined was so negative their sales plummeted.

Dejon and Dash Turay were considered around the world to be modern-day heroes. Documentaries had been done on them. A new movie produced by MGM, starring Dakota Fanning as Kiki Izatt and Shemar Moore in the dual role of the twins, was already under way.

Kiki held her three-month-old daughter, Tabitha Turay, in her arms. She’d named her after Taddy; it was the least she could do for convincing Warner not to press charges. Tabitha had Dejon’s smile. Or was it Dash’s? She wasn’t quite sure exactly who the father was but they were okay with that, having agreed to live happily ever after as one unit.

“Honey, the guests are all waiting for you in the chapel. Here, give Tabitha to me.” Her mother reached for her as she made her way to the door. “You should see your husbands. They look so handsome.”

Hearing the word ‘husbands’ made her giggle.

“Before I forget and we get carried away with the reception and all your Manhattanite friends are there and will want to give their own speeches and toasts, I want to tell you how proud I am of you.” Her mother adjusted Kiki’s veil.

  “Really, Mama?”

“For years we had men with their multiple wives in this town. Leave it to my daughter from New York City to come back home and reverse the rules to her benefit. You’re like a modern-day feminist, and you have given me so much pride and joy. This entire family is so proud of you.”

“You’re just happy we bought a house down the street from you.”

  “That, too.”

Pushing her shoulders back, Kiki took a step forward toward the aisle and smiled out at the many familiar faces from the East Coast. Jilly had come over from England. After several rounds of chemotherapy, her cancer seemed to be on its way out.

Her father held out his arm and asked, “Are you ready to get married?”

“You have no idea how ready I’ve been.”

  —Books Are Love

“There’s a new star in town. The name is Avery Aster. Unscrupulous is slick, juicy and narratively impressive.”

  —The Sleaze Factor

“Unscrupulous equates fun erotica. The humor runs toward the outrageous and raunchy but never tasteless. This is like Sex and City on steroids but younger and actually sexier.”

  —Ever After Romance Book Blog

“The Manhattanites is a throwback to Judith Krantz. It’s filled with family drama, salacious back stories, rich people problems and the glitz and glamour of fame without turning into a saga of revenge and disappointment.”

  —Talk Supe Reviews

“I could relate to the main characters. The emotions they went through felt real to me. If you are open minded and looking for something…hot, then these books are for you. Avery Aster had me hooked, interested and connected to the characters.”

  —Bec’s Books

“While classified as an erotic novel it is so much more than that. Unscrupulous is a love story between friends and more importantly is a story of a woman learning to truly love herself!”

  —Tiffany Talks Books

“I learned so many new things while reading Unscrupulous like what DILF stood for, and about the Vajazzle. Avery’s writing style is refreshing and so different from what’s out there.”

  —Book Babes Unite

“Unscrupulous reminds me a lot of Jackie Collins’ style of plot lines, intrigue and drama. The bitches are super-bitches and the heroine has a good heart underneath the tough exterior. When Taddy finally started to open up to Warner it actually made me tear up.”

  —I Love Romantic Fiction

“The female characters are all strong and that’s a refreshing change from some of the heroines I’ve read lately in other books.”

  —Blissful Books

“The shock value early in the book is high and is suited to the open-minded reader, not shy or afraid of sexually descriptive language and scenes. Unscrupulous is hot flash-inducing…trust me, I’ve suffered a few.”

  —Ripe For Reader

“Unscrupulous is a wild read filled with rich, dirty mouthed New Yorkers and it is just a lot of fun.”

  The Literary Gossip

  Dear Reader,

Shortly after I began writing book reviews, I discovered Unscrupulous by Avery Aster and was introduced to this erotic, zany world called The Manhattanites. I couldn’t remember the last time I had that much fun while reading a novel.

Unscrupulous is what a great boyfriend should be—it makes you laugh and makes you horny. What more can a girl ask for? Oh, right. An über sexy hunk? Check. A strong female lead who doesn’t annoy the fuck out of you? Double check. A fun supporting cast? You got it. Great story? You bet. Hot sex? Uhm…yeah! There’s just enough of it to enjoy but not so much that it takes over the story.

Reading Taddy’s past in this novel left a hole in my heart. She deserved something she never imagined, a lover. A close-to-trillio
naire wealthy, Newport Rhode Island sophisticated, Harvard graduate intelligent—Big Daddy. You will see this couple throughout The Manhattanites series as the novels progress.

The more I read and interact with authors whose work I admire, the more I get the feeling that the characters they share with us on their pages are very close to their own real-life personas. When it comes to Avery’s books, you’ll never confuse these stories with anyone else’s. The cast is true to New York form. Often ruthless, always brilliant, they require a match who exceeds their expectations.

When I read Avery’s work I feel as if I’m at happy hour with a bunch of girlfriends. We’re sharing stories of escapades, sexual and otherwise, and we drink way too many cosmos in the process and have fun along the way.

Every time a new book by Avery Aster is about to be released, I get excited. You know it’ll be full of quotes you’d want to memorize so you can use them on your friends because they are just too hysterically delicious not to be repeated. These besties make me want to be part of their posse so badly. I love the way they have each other’s backs.

The saying goes “no two people ever read the same book,” so if you are someone who appreciates an author who stands out with a voice of his own, you like to have a laugh while you read and you have an open mind when it comes to love making, you’ll enjoy Avery’s books.

Enjoy and welcome to The Manhattanites.
