“Perfect!” Robot said. “Now go sit at the table, and your breakfast will be ready soon.”

Robot made breakfast and put it on a tray. He carried it to the table. Monkey was not sitting at the table. Robot looked in the living room. Monkey was not there, either.

“Monkey!” Robot yelled. “Where are you?”

  “I’m in bed,” Monkey said.

Robot went into Monkey’s bedroom. “I thought you were hungry,” he said.

“I was,” Monkey said. “But that was when I thought it was eight o’clock in the morning. Now I know it must be eight o’clock at night, because I’m very sleepy.”

Robot tucked the blanket snugly around Monkey. Then he pulled the window shades down.

  “Sleep well,” Robot whispered.

  Monkey snored softly.
