But I still have a small knot in my stomach. Tomorrow the employees who work remotely for the company arrive…and that includes my brother.
CHAPTER 16
Valentina
The next day
“Let me call you right back,” I abruptly say to the Italian affiliate Valentino put me in charge of winning over to our side.
The office is bustling this morning, all the employees in town for the big Valentine’s Day “Love is Lame” party coming up in a few days.
Valentino told me he’d make a formal introduction at noon, letting the company know I’m the new C.F.O. Not only is he paying me way more but the fancy new title sure is a nice perk too.
I look at the time on my computer and see we’re still an hour or so from noon, but that’s not the reason I abruptly ended the call.
The sound of my brother’s voice in the receptionist area is.
“No worries, V. It makes sense to give that spot to someone else. I was barely in the office anymore.”
“I’m glad you understand.”
“Sure.” He pauses. “Introduce me to the new guy?” he asks Valentino.
“Let’s go with new team member and I think you might not need long to get acquainted.”
“Really? You pull somebody else from the ol’ soccer team? A hat trick of us now?”
“If you count one of our biggest cheerleaders, then yes.”
I feel my heart rate quicken and anxiety shoot through me. I take a deep breath and prepare to see my brother’s face, and more importantly the surprised reaction I’m sure is coming.
“Cheerleader? We didn’t have…”
His sentence ends abruptly as does his ability to keep his lower jaw hinged to his upper. He’s frozen, just standing mid-stride in my doorway, looking like he’s seen a ghost.
“Hey big bro,” I finally spit out, pretending this is no big deal, and technically it isn’t…save the whole “I’m with your best friend now” part.
“You’re?” He looks at me, then turns to Valentino. “You hired my?”
Valentino nods. “New C.F.O. She’s keeping the office in the family.”
Vincenzo looks back at me and then at Valentino…and then does it again before finally settling back on me.
“I thought you were…”
“Working at that CPA firm?”
“Yeah,” he says, his surprised look quickly changing to one where I can clearly see he’s trying to calculate what the heck is going on. I may be eleven years younger than him, but I’ve lived with, and been around him, enough to know that he’s as analytical as they come. Everything becomes a math problem for him at the end of the day, hence his profession and I hate to say his struggles with women, which is somewhat ironic considering his profession.
“I didn’t know you were looking for a new job.”
“I wasn’t. It’s just that—“
“She was the perfect fit and I reached out to her,” Valentino interrupts.
I finally exhale, not even realizing I was holding it in this whole time. I’m more than thankful that Valentino has taken the bull by the horns here and is doing the talking at this point.
“I didn’t know you were even looking for an accountant.”
“You were gone and I knew we needed someone to handle all the different state and international tax complexities. The idea came into my head and I knew right away it made complete sense.”
“Complete sense?” he repeats.
“Of course. Who better to bring aboard than someone we both know and trust?”
My brother looks at him with a cocked head and I realize Valentino may have just put those Valentino oxfords of his right in his mouth.
“You know my sister?”
“She’s your sister. I know the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
“That’s a reference to someone’s parents.”
“Okay, analytical guy,” Valentino says putting his hand on my brother’s back and attempting to guide him out of my office. “Let’s get you set up at a workstation so we can go over some things.”
My brother’s gaze lingers on me and I can see that damn computer in his head trying to make this compute, and I know it’s not adding up. And he knows I know it too.
It takes a second, but he does defer to Valentino, but not before turning back over his shoulder to give me one more look just before he’s out of view.
I feel my body sliding down in my chair, the energy leaving me as I go limp, feeling a bit defeated.
He knows something is up. It’s only a matter of time before he has the evidence he needs to confront us.
And then, we could be looking at a real confrontation between two huge guys who are in great shape and as I’ve seen before on the soccer field by some of the slide tackles and cheap shots they’ve both taken…they can both take a punch.
But what happens if and when those punches come from each other?
CHAPTER 17
Valentina
Three days later
I turn sideways in the mirror checking out my body.
My small black dress goes great with the choker that Valentino gave me, the one I only took off once when we went surfing.
The beauty of it is that it is a choker, and thanks to a quick run to the mall, I was able to match it with some outfits these last few days.
I doubt anybody thinks I’m trying to hide a hickey or something like that, and I’m pretty sure nobody’s caught on to Valentino and I, although I feel like my brother’s likely trying. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s reading our emails, but we’ve been careful to be very professional in that regard.
I slip on my heels and look at myself one last time.
Staring at myself in the mirror for at least another minute or two longer I wonder if I’m really going to do what Valentino asked.
He called me after work today and told me to come to the party tonight sans panties. He said he wanted to be able to enter me at will tonight, because he knew that I’d be the most beautiful woman there, as I would be anywhere in the world, and he’d have to have me…party or not.
It sounded sexy as hell, but the thought of my brother being at the same party, plus a bunch of top clients, has me thinking again.
My hand goes up to my neck and I run my fingertips along the choker, reminding myself what it says underneath.
Valentino’s Property - Valentine’s Day and Forever
Well, today is Valentine’s Day and I am most certainly Valentino’s, there’s no doubt about that.
I bend at the knees and stick my hand up the bottom of my dress, grabbing my panties and pulling them down, noticing they’re already sticking a bit and I haven’t even left yet.
God, this man just keeps me wet all the time. Just thinking about him has me so damn horny I don’t know what to do with myself.
Sitting in the office next to him, hearing that deep voice of his as he talks on the phone, or to other team members, gets me so hot and bothered.
And it feels so naughty when my brother sticks his head in my office to ask me some question every once in awhile…the kind that he could just email me or of course the kind that aren’t even important at all.
I think he just wants an excuse to get up and walk by Valentino’s office and peek into mine to see what’s going on between us.
It’s like he’s trying to see if he can catch us doing something right out in the open in an office that has a very strict open door policy.
Uh, no.
But tonight it sounds like Valentino has other plans for me, and this might just be my brother’s chance to get what he wants…catching us red handed.
I feel like my heart is doing somersaults in my chest the tension inside me has me wound so tight.
I’m just as excited about Valentino as I am about trying to keep everything hidden from my brother.
Jeez, it seems like some sort of high school game.
But I was a bookworm back then. There was no time for fun and
certainly no boys…because I was only ever interested in Valentino.
And now that he’s mine it feels like tonight is making up for lost time. Tonight is going to be like prom and all the high school dances and events I never attended, rolled into one.
And I’m looking forward to seeing just how he’s going to put all of that big cock of his, in me without my brother finding out.
CHAPTER 18
Valentino
It’s the biggest night of the year for the company, and also the biggest night of my personal life.
This event gets picked up by the San Diego Union Tribune, CBS News 8, ABC 10 News, Fox 5 San Diego, KNSD 7 NBC San Diego, and even some of the L.A. stations and magazines, and few from as far reaching as Mexico and Italy.
It’s the Who’s Who of the single crowd in Southern California, and we’ve become famous over the years because after the champagne starts flowing and friendly pats on the shoulder become long drags, and jokes get funnier and funnier as the evening progresses, people do hook up…in huge ways.
The free publicity we’ve gotten each year from the celebrity couples that seem to come out of our event each and every year is priceless. It’s literally worth more than the cost of the event when in the weeks after, stories come out about famous relationships that start tonight.
And this year should be no different…except for two of us.
Valentina and I.
We may not be celebrities in the way that we’re movie stars or sports stars or any of that stuff, but that’s all the better. I prefer to live my life out of the public eye, and I know she does too.
The only question is, what happens when what we’ve got catches the eye of her brother?
Soon we’ll find out.
My eyes scan the room as I see everyone from mayors to models, San Diego Padres ball girls, who catch the foul balls along the first and third base lines, to billionaires. They’re all here…except one.
I move through the sea of people, giving out handshakes and chit chatting with our attendees.
There’s electricity in the air. The guests are excited and that’s good, but without her the night feels flat, uneventful.
Until finally my eyes catch a glimpse of her across the room. The first thing I see is my choker, which she’s proudly wearing.
And the second is a man who’s talking her up in a way that’s too friendly for my liking.
My stance widens and instead of weaving through people I’m now more of a bull in a China shop, making my way right over there even though I’m damn near pushing people out of my way in the process.
“Hey Valentino, great—“
“What the fuck are you doing, Greg?”
“Whoa there. Calm down, buddy. What’s wrong.”
“She’s spoken for,” I roar, my nostrils flaring, my stance wide and my fists already balled up. I’m ready to throw haymakers at this pretty boy’s face if he doesn’t back the fuck down right now.
“I’m sorry, man. I didn’t know. I thought this was a single’s event,” he says, cowering against the wall. He brings his second hand around to hold his foo-foo drink, holding it tightly to his chest…as if putting some object in-between him and me is going to stop me, especially a pastel cocktail that has an umbrella hanging out of it.
Greg’s no small guy either, a former New Zealand rugby captain for the famous All Blacks. They’re called that because their uniforms are black, and they bring a scary darkness to the field, which they use to intimidate their opponents. Not me. Not tonight. I don’t care how big any man is. I’ll fight to the death to protect what’s mine.
“Well now you do,” I say.
I feel the light touch of her hand on my arm, piercing all the way through my suit and sending a tingling sensation throughout my body.
I turn and look at my woman, and Greg wisely uses the opportunity to duck out of there.
“It looks like my hero arrived just in time to save me,” she whispers in my direction.
“And I need you to repay the favor.”
“Me? I’m tiny compared to you.”
“I need saving in another way,“ I moan, feeling the pain inside me only growing bigger.
“Oh yeah.”
“Yeah, I need you…now, or I’m going to explode.”
“Well, I’d much rather you explode inside me,” she purrs.
“That makes two of us.”
I take her by the hand and lead her away from the mingling area, damn near running.
I hear the click clack of her heels on the floor, which will be used for ballroom dancing later, but right now I’ve got a different kind of dance on my mind.
A mating dance, and she’s the only partner who I’ll ever share that kind of dance, or any dance with, as long as I live.
CHAPTER 19
Valentina
Valentino moves quickly to the elevators and a second later he’s pawing at me just as hungrily as I am at him.
We ascend to the top and by the time the bell rings, his suit coat is off and my dress is already off one shoulder.
He scoops me up in one arm, carrying me down the hall to the penthouse suite he must have rented without me even knowing.
Fumbling for the key with one hand, while supporting my entire body weight with the other, he manages to tap the lock and the sound of the lock disengaging fills the hallway, although barely audible to us over the sounds of our lips devouring each others.
Carrying me through the threshold he kicks the door shut behind us, moving straight toward the floor to ceiling window that overlooks the Pacific.
“I need to be inside you,” he says, my back hitting the curved, bubble glass and I realize that technically I’m not even above the floor anymore, I’m a few inches past it due to the design of the window.
It’s scary as hell and exhilarating at the same time.
I look over my shoulder at the street below, cars looking like toy Matchbox cars and a surge of excitement shoots through me as one of his hands knives through my hair.
I moan as he kisses my neck hard, making sure to take the choker in his mouth as best he can and then give it a tug.
“No way it’s coming off,” he mumbles between his teeth.
“Because no way I’m not ever going to be yours,” I seductively whisper into his ear.
I slide from his grasp and feel my heels hit the ground just before he spins me around, my hands plastered against the window.
I feel the wetness already dripping down my leg, just before his hand comes down hard on my globe, kneading my ass meat before making a fist, which drags the fabric of my dress tight.
He lifts up my dress, growling when he sees I’m pantiless.
My body shutters at the sound, my knees wobbling, knowing this is going to be fast and furious, just how I want it.
I hear his belt unclasp and his fly come down, just before I feel the crown of his cock at my opening.
“You’re already wet and ready for me,” he moans into my ear from behind.
One arm wraps around me as he pulls my body back into his, my ass pressing back into his body. “Fuck me, Valentino. Fuck me good.”
I may be the one with the choker that says I’m his property, but he abides by my command just as equally, sending his dick deep inside me with one thrust.
My mouth opens and nothing comes out. I look out at the ocean as time stands still, everything in me live and alert beyond comprehension.
I watch as a wave forms and rolls toward the shore, knowing the same thing is already happening inside my body, and the crest and the crash of my internal wave is going to outdo anything the Pacific can provide at this moment.
With one forearm pulling me in tight and his hand pulling my hair back, he thrust into me over and over and over again.
I feel his aggression, his power, and hear his grunts as his cock slides in and out of my channel, opening me…preparing to fill me like he always does.
My stomach tightens and I can’t believe I’m alrea
dy here.
“I’m gonna finish. I’m gonna. I’m almost. I’m coming!” I yell like a woman possessed as I unload on his dick just before I feel his jets fill me.
