Divorced in Danville
Page 25
After dinner, we all made our way to the quaint family room of the side of the kitchen, where the kids were each presented with gifts from their grandparents, and the adults hung back to take pictures. I couldn't help but love the patch-worked family I was watching before me.
Lilly was the only one out of Kevin's brood that didn't assimilate into the family as if she'd always been a part of their Christmases. At first, I thought it was because of the stress she'd been dealing with surrounding her mother's illness, but then I saw her sneaking a puppy dog look of devotion towards the eldest Sadler cousin David.
Oh no, no, no baby doll! That there is a 23-year-old man, and he is too old for you.
Wanting to get the point across without hurting her feelings, I pulled Kelly aside and whispered my suspicion into her ear.
Nodding in understanding, Kelly said, "Lilly, honey? Do you mind helping me with Mandy? I'm not supposed to carry her too far, and I need to change her for bed."
Chapter 70 – Kelly
Once I had Lilly alone, we had a nice chat regarding how happy we were that she had come to stay in Danville.
Then hoping to come across as subtle, I said, "You know David is a lot like you when it comes to the kids."
"Really?"
"Really. They follow David around like the pied piper too." Then for effect, I added a chuckle. "It's too bad he's 23 years old, and engaged, or you might have hit it off in a few years."
"Oh!" she said looking crestfallen.
"But don't worry, I'm sure you'll meet some hot guys when you go back to school in the fall. Have you decided what you want to do next year?"
"Do you think Daddy will let me go to Danville High School?" she asked looking hopeful. "I know I could technically go to college in the fall, but I really want to go to George Washington University, and the admissions counselor said that I might want to consider delaying my graduation for a year because I've been taking care of Mum."
"I'm not quite sure since that's up to your dad. But if you stay around here, I guess that you might."
Kevin had spoken to Dale and me just the other night about where to enroll the girls in the fall. It was decided that for the next six months, Dale and I would help Emmy and Rosie finish their homeschool year, while Lilly took a break and restarted her Senior year in the fall. I could have revealed this information during our little chat, but I knew that Kevin wanted to tell her himself since it was part of her Christmas present.
Since we lived in a rural county that still had a lot of old harvesting allowances in the school regulations manual, Kevin was working diligently with the local High School to allow Lilly to repeat her Senior year even though she was a solid A/B student.
I was excited about the girls spending so much time with us over the next few months. Since I'd been put on restricted workload till the twins were born, I knew I'd end up going crazy without a project, so I welcomed the challenge of homeschooling Kevin’s amazing girls.
By 10:00 pm, all of the adults, and even the kids were about ready to collapse. Thankfully, Aunt Shawn had already set up the lean-to to accommodate the Dalton clan while Mom, the Wilsons, and my family would be staying at the big house.
Unlike Christmas morning, the 26th of December found all of the adults, except Aunt Shawn, out-sleeping the children by a good 30 minutes. Even Uncle Terry, the farmer that was always up at the crack of dawn every day, and who had indulged in a little too much pumpkin eggnog (a new venture for this year) the previous night, was slow to come down the stairs to start their day.
By the time Dale and I descended the stairs at 9:00 am, we found Kevin's girls dressed and eagerly helping Aunt Shawn entertain our bunch of jumping beans.
"I can't wait to tell Mummy about your farm. Don't you think it would remind her of England?" Rosie asked Emmy spiritedly as I walked into the kitchen.
"If she ever wakes up long enough to leave her room," Emmy mumbled snarkily, before turning back to Mandy who she was cutting up a biscuit for.
Preferring to ignore her sister's sullenness, Rosie whispered loudly towards Aunt Shawn, "She'd love it here, don't listen to her."
With less than four days until the wedding, December 26th was going to be the busiest day of the year for our families.
Deciding to divide and conquer our checklist was insane, but doable thanks to all hands being on deck.

THANK THE LORD FOR the fact that Candace was on winter break from college and had agreed to work for us as needed from Tuesday till Friday, otherwise I might have lost my mind.
If we could all get through these tasks today, it would allow for us to all have a couple of down days before the wedding. This included a much-needed day away on Friday, where I could take part in a day of pampering at the local spa with all of the girls and women of my family. I was especially excited to learn that our spa day would also include my college bestie, Rane who was arriving on the early morning train from New York City on Friday.
Because of everyone's team efforts and Candace's availability, Thursday we were able to offer a little less chaos for the kids who were already starting to get a little antsy from the wedding errands.
Wanting to make sure each child was feeling loved, we took turns taking the kids special places. Thursday morning, Candace took on our three oldest so that Dale and I could take Mandy to a local children's museum and give her our undivided attention. Then on Thursday afternoon, while Candace watched Mandy, we took the three five-year-olds to an indoor waterpark where we met up with Polly and Nate for an afternoon of fun.
Their children Tyler, Hunter, and Calvin, were all a little older than ours, but they all seemed to have fun just the same.
Chapter 71– Dale
Friday morning, Kelly and I purposely set our alarm clock for 4:00 am. With all of the houses in our network overflowing with family and friends, this was the only way to ensure that we had alone time together before tomorrow's ceremony.
Turning to my beautiful wife, who was currently laying on her side for pregnancy comfort, I snuggled up behind her and began nuzzling her neck.
"Hmmmmm," she sighed half asleep.
"It's 4:00 am," I whispered.
"Then why are you waking me?" she grumbled. Her hormones had been making her extra cranky in the morning, but that's just between her and me.
"Because once it's 7:00 am, you and I won't be alone again until tomorrow night," I said, pressing my morning erection into her soft backside.
"You probably shouldn't do that," she said while stretching her body to mold to mine.
"Why?" I asked pressing myself into her hip as she rolled onto her back.
Stifling a yawn, she said, "Well, for one, you want to abstain until tomorrow night. And two, you know how horny I've been the last few days. Not getting to feel you inside of me will make me crankier and I need to be happy today."
Before she could continue her grumpy tir
ade, I inched my hand down the front of her panties and began to stroke her.
Cutting off her next attempt to protest by kissing her, I continued my task by placing my middle fingers inside her vagina and used my thumb to run circles around her clit. "You're very wet Mrs. Wilson, and I, am very hard," I said, moving until I was situated between her legs. Moaning into my mouth, I could feel her orgasm building against my hand and felt an overwhelming need to be seated inside my bride.
When I remove my hand with Kelly seconds away from detonating, I was greeted with a dirty look until Kelly noticed me pulling down my boxers.
Shifting her underwear to the side, I slowly began edging myself into her waiting warmth until my tip could go no further.
With a collective gasp of satisfaction, we began moving against each other until I felt Kelly's body explode around my greedy rod causing me to lose complete control of our slow rhythm.
Thrusting in desperation and needing to be one with my wife, I suddenly felt my balls tense before exploding into Kelly like a rocket. The sensation was so overwhelming that I had to remind myself to roll onto my side, taking Kelly with me so I wouldn't crush her growing stomach.
When our bodies had stopped shaking, I found that Kelly was glowing in my direction from the love that we had just shared.
"I want to do that every day for the rest of my life!" I said, with a sigh as I stroked her face tenderly.
"Promise?" asked Kelly with a sudden seriousness that had me worried.
"I mean, with us having six kids it may not be EVERY day sometimes, but my desire to be physical with you is very intense."
"Me too," she admitted. "But, can I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"If you ever get to the point where we go weeks or months, would you consider asking for medical help? I'm so greedy for you that it would break me if you began to reject me." And suddenly tears began to stream down her face. Even though I knew that many of her tears lately had been the result of added hormones from her twin pregnancy, I still wanted to acknowledge the severity of her concern.
"Kelly, sweetie. Don't cry! Please," I said cuddling into her. "Trust me, I've lived in a sexless marriage, and I've lived in a marriage where my partner's desire equals mine, and I'm too selfish to lose that. I promise you, if we go more than a week without sex for any reason other than being out of town, I will personally get us a babysitter and take you to a hotel, and we can screw like rabbits!"
Smiling at my tenacity, Kelly began to kiss me while moving around my hardening staff that was still buried within her body.
Realizing that she was still wearing a pair of cotton maternity panties, I made quick work of ripping them off so that we wouldn't have to pull away from each other. Within 20 minutes of slow wave-like motions, my body was once again ready to begin its orgasmic build up.
Wanting Kelly to experience a more comfortable orgasm, I shifted our bodies until she was straddling my hips and gyrating against me. Slowly, I moved my thumb towards her clit and began stroking her until I could see her breath start to labor from her heightened pleasure.
Knowing that she was close, I once again moved her towards her back and began to lunge into her until she was forced to cover her mouth with her hand to avoid waking the house with her building release. As Kelly lifted her pelvis with every thrust, and her body kept taking me deeper and deeper, her erotic actions nearly had me losing all sense of location and screaming from the pure ecstasy she was milking from me.
When I felt us begin to orgasm together, I knew there wasn't going to be another way for us to stop ourselves from shouting, so I slammed our mouths towards each other so that we could mute our joint screams of ecstasy.
Completely sated from our morning workout, I noticed that Kelly was slowly starting to drift off to sleep and whispered, "Maybe I should reset our alarm for 7:00 am?"
Which she responded to with a grin right before I felt her body relax against mine in blissful sleep.
Once I'd reset our alarm, I followed her into oblivion still rooted inside her knowing that today was going to be a great day, even if I did allow my primal instinct to take her a day earlier than planned.
Chapter 72 – Kelly
By the time Dale and I finally arose from our napping stupor, we had hit the snooze button five times. Thankfully, the kids didn't barge into our room and find us still making the beast with two backs.
That was not a conversation I was prepared to have with them at this point in my life.
When Dale decided to hop into the shower with me, we tried to behave, but there was just something about watching him soap up his body that made me unable to stop myself from dropping to my knees and sucking him into my mouth. Once I had brought him to climax, we were once again delayed when Dale decided to return the favor. Thus, by the time everything was said in done, I was thirty minutes late leaving for the spa, but I didn't care. Watching Dale smirk at me impishly from the doorway of our bathroom while I rushed to put on my leggings and sweater dress made it completely worth it.
Even though I was running thirty minutes late, God must have been looking down on me that morning, because there was absolutely no traffic on the way to the spa and I still managed to get there in time to see Katie, Mazie and Kevin's girls have their first manicures and pedicures. And I may or may not have taken over one hundred photos to commemorate the experience.
What can I say, I loved to take pictures of the people I love.
While my Mom, Pam, Shawn, and Imogene were doting over the girls, I was happy to see Rane and Joanie bonding off to the side. Even though Joanie and I had been best friends since birth, this was the first time she had ever met my college best friend, Rane. The more I saw them chatting, the more I realized that Rane had filled my missing Joanie piece when we fell out of communication all of those years ago.
Tearing up, because that's what a pregnant woman does, I silently excused myself and had a quick cry in the ladies' restroom, hoping that no one would notice my absence.
Thankfully, my wish came true when one of the girls rubbed her face with her wet nails, and effectively distracted everyone from my absence because they were trying to remove the polish before it stained her skin.
Shortly thereafter, Candace arrived with Mandy to pick up Katie and Mazie. Excited at the prospect of a trip to McDonalds, I was lucky to get a quick side hug from the girls as they rushed after Candace talking incessantly about their nails.
I tried not to take it personally. I really did. But then those darn hormones reared their head again, and I had to excuse myself for another "bathroom" break.
Within seconds of my return, the Dalton girls were ushered over to the hair salon, and I was placed in a chair between my two besties, who were seated across from my Mom, Pam, Auntie Shawn and Auntie Imogen.
Considering my wedding was in a few days, I probably should have chosen something neutral for my nail polish, but I was feeling extra bold today and decided to have my finger nails done in a glittery silver, and my toenails painted a deep red with a glitter top coat.
While I was busy spending time with the women in my life, time flew by and we were soon greeted by the beaming smiles of Lilly, Rosie, and even Emmy, who was always fun to be around, but wasn't one to grant her smiles freely. Apparently, a little pampering and attention were enough to bring her out of her usual teenage grouchiness, because she couldn't stop touching her lightly feathered new haircut.
On Tuesday, Kevin had broken the news to them that Myra was asking them to stay away for the first two weeks of rehab since she wouldn't be herself. It had been hard on the girls, and my Mom had made it her personal goal to keep them too busy to let the sadness creep in. I just hoped that they knew that they were loved and that regardless of what happened with their mother, they would always have my family to call their own.
The next stage of our spa extravaganza was facials, but unfortunately, the spa was only able to accommodate four customers in the facial salon at a time. So, the
girls and I enjoyed a teen and pregnancy safe clarifying facial, while Aunt Imogen, Mom, Aunt Shawn, and Pam went for an anti-aging mud bath and my besties went to get waxed.
While they were all off enjoying the full body experience, I was thankful to have company since the pregnancy prevented me from participating in any of the baths and I had no interest in a full body waxing. The only waxing I'd be enduring today was my eyebrows, and if it weren't for the girls, I would have been stuck waiting around for my friends to return, so I was blessed that they were sticking around for some additional pampering.
Showing off their funny mud faces and taking selfies, I quickly captured a few pictures and sent them along with a few of the mani/pedi pictures to Dale.
Was it crazy that after only three hours, I was missing him?
Dale –
Kevin says to let the girls know they have something on their face.
Kelly-
Tell Kevin the girls send him three sets of rolling eyes.
Dale –
I miss you already.
Kelly –
I miss you too. Awfully glad you gave me my wedding present early. I'll be remembering how you felt inside of me while I'm having my therapeutic nap this afternoon.
Dale –
Any chance I can sneak in and nap with you? Candace just picked up John for McDonalds and the men are talking about shenanigans.
Kelly –
We'll have plenty of time to cuddle Sunday in the lean-to. What kind of shenanigans can you guys get into when three of you are over the age of fifty?
Dale –
Dad, Terry, and Donny want to go to the cigar bar, Kevin wants to go drink whiskey, and David and Jared are talking about paintball. Terry was on board for all three, but Kevin and Dad nixed the paintball right away. Still not quite sure about Donny’s preference, but he is enjoying the decision-making process.
Kelly –
Do it all!
