Thankfully, my mother was so stunned by my sudden gumption that she agreed and disappeared down the hall for some much-deserved pampering. Since she left without her phone, I quickly passed it on to Aunt Shawn so that if any urgent messages did come through, she'd be able to intervene.

The rest of the day went surprisingly smooth after Dale and the rest of our party arrived around 10:30 am, and the whirlwind of activity continued until I found myself being pulled back upstairs so that Mom could help me with my dress.

Stepping into my cocktail length blush-colored gown, I was thankful to find that the waist-line and laced backing were able to accommodate the extra weight that had decided to appear over the last few days in my abdomen.

It seems that the twins were hitting a growth spurt. I thought to myself with a smile.

"This is how it was always supposed to be," my Mom beamed proudly while watched me in the mirror.

  It really was.

Later that evening, when I descended the stairs into the farmhouse's great room, the last thread of doubt that Geoff and placed in my mind was severed as I was greeted by the look on my new husband's face.

At that moment, I knew just how wanted I would always be.
