This book has been percolating in my brain since I first introduced Lady Henrietta in SURRENDER TO SCANDAL, thanks in no small part to the readers who sent me such lovely emails asking to hear Hen’s story. So thank you, dear Readers, for the encouragement. I hope you enjoy!

During the writing of THE SWEETEST SIN, I realized how close I was to the end of The Sins & Scandals Series. This gave me pause and while I considered what to tackle next, the urge to stretch my creative muscle refused to be quieted. I’ve always enjoyed pushing myself to see how far I can go, and I realized the time had come to do that with my writing. To keep things fresh, I needed to try something new, to expand my skills and grow as a writer. I’ll admit, stepping away from the familiar is a bit of a scary proposition, so I have some thank yous to dole out those whose encouragement had made the task a little less daunting.

First and foremost—thank you to my core crew of family (Garry, Sharon, Alyson & Craig) who, throughout my life, never tried to tie my feet to the ground when my head drifted off into the clouds. Especially to Mom and Dad who taught me from an early age that dreams, coupled with action, were possibilities waiting to happen and that I could accomplish whatever I put my mind to. I can’t imagine there is any better lesson for a kid to learn.

To the newest crew member—my amazing husband, John, who always has my back whether it’s to push me forward or prop me up. Marrying you was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Thanks for always being there.

A big, heartfelt thank you to those ladies who cheered me on when I suggested I needed to stretch my wings and try to fly a little higher—Pam Callow, Julianne MacLean, Cathryn Fox, Anne MacFarlane, Annette Gallant. You guys are the best!

And as always, my unending gratitude to the wonderful professionals that help me put this book together: My editor, Nancy Cassidy, Kim Killion (cover designer) and Amy Atwell (formatter).

  About the Author

Kelly Boyce started writing in Grade 2 when her favorite teacher, Mrs. Phyllis Matheson, showed up with a box filled with plot ideas and she was hooked, but it wasn’t until she read Lisa Gregory’s Bitterleaf years later that she fell in love with historical romance.

It took several years after that however, before she discovered Romance Writers of America and Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada and realized how to take those stories, turn them into books and send them out into the big bad world. After that, it was full steam ahead.

A life-long Nova Scotian, she lives near the Atlantic Ocean with her awesome husband, and a clownish golden retriever with a stubborn streak a mile wide.

She love writing stories about relationships and creating a sense of community around the hero and heroine filled with secondary characters who take on a life of their own.

Her first release, a western historical, The Outlaw Bride, was released in 2011 by Carina Press and since then, she has released three more western historical romances with Harlequin Enterprises: Salvation in the Rancher’s Kiss and Salvation in the Sheriff’s Arms, and two Christmas novellas, The Cowboy of Christmas Past and Christmas in Salvation Falls.

The Sins & Scandals Series is her first foray into Regency England and she is loving every minute of it!
