“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, and just so you know I’ll always be there for ya. Hell, I may even be closer than you want me to be half the time.” He grins and shakes my hand.
“It’s been an honor working with you all these years and I can’t wait to see what kind of shit we can get into after this!” And with that he pulls me in for a half hug and slaps me on the back.
I turn to face the rest of the guys and start announcing the new leadership one at a time. “Bash… you’ve always been my right-hand man. It’ll be no different now. I want you at the table as Vice.” He holds his beer up with a huge smile.
“North. I’d like you in the Enforcer position.” He nods in acceptance, still leaning against the wall in the back. “Sly… Treasurer.” I look around for him and catch his surprised reaction when I say his name.
“Jinx, will you take Road Captain?”
“You know I will,” he yells from the pool table in the back corner.
“Church… where are you at?” The old man looks up at me from the bar below me.
“Right here. Always right here.”
“You stayin’ on as Chaplain?”
“You couldn’t get me away from the table. I’m looking forward to watching you thrive, Son.”
“You and me both, Church.” And just like that my life in the club is forever changed. It’s as if I’m able to take my first full breath of air in years as relief overwhelms me.
“Officers… meet me at the table. Gracie, it’s an open bar tonight. If you can get me a bottle of your finest whiskey at the table for us, I’d appreciate it.”
It’s surreal sitting at the end of the table in what was just recently Vic’s seat. I sit back and smoke the cigar Gracie brought in with the whiskey and smile.
“First order of business. I’m fucking honored to have you all in here with me. I won’t be perfect as President… but I will give it my all. I’ll always refer to the table for decisions, so consider this a group leadership. Brothers before all others… No exceptions. Until you find your soul mate. Because we won’t make you choose between the two. You’ll never have to do anything you don’t agree with. If that comes up, we discuss the shit and come up with an alternative.” A ping of sadness hits my chest as I think of what I did to Cambri to keep face with the club. I’ll never have any of my guys in that position as long as I’m breathing.
“Second order of business… We’ll be delegating sectors of the club to each of the officers. I’ll want an entire audit of all the business done prior to us taking these chairs. We’ll do this in the next few days when we have more time to talk out the details. We’ll report everything to the full room. I want complete transparency with everyone in here. We work together as one.” They’re all sitting back, relaxed and simply nodding that they agree with what I’m saying.
“And lastly… Club Ass. Boys… the rumors are true. You’ll be the only line of acceptance for new ass in the club. We’ll probably change this up a bit once we get our feet wet with all the shit it’ll take to run this club, but for now that’s how it’s done.” I watch as eyebrows are raised and shit eating grins take over most of their faces.
“Meeting adjourned unless someone would like to add anything.”
“I do,” Bash speaks up.
“It’s never been the club for me. I’ve always found my loyalty stood with you because of your drive and passion for the club. It was easy to walk beside you the past few days as you stood up for what you believed in. I think I speak for all of us when I say, It’s a privilege to have this opportunity to make it about the club. This change in leadership was long overdue and we won’t take the positions lightly. Thank you.” He lifts his whiskey glass and the rest of the room follows.
And it’s in this moment that I know everything will be better than ever. Responsibilities can be delegated and with the group of guys I have walking beside me, I’m not worried about the future of this club in the slightest.
I should regret what it took to get here… but I don’t.
I gave others a choice, before I made it for them.
Chapter Twenty
Cambri
It’s been a week since I last saw Travis. I’ve been using Elaina to get as much information about how he’s doing as I can, but I have to watch doing that. She’s mouthy and is liable to put him on speaker with me in the room and say some shit like ‘Bri is in love with you’ or something.
My finals were numbing. I didn’t want to study, and my mind kept wandering to him like it is now. He’s in my dreams and even in my nightmares, usually saving me from some tragic situation. Kind of like real life.
I’m still in bed when I get a text from Elaina.
Elaina: Come let me in. I’m bringing you breakfast in bed, because I know that’s where your ass still is.
I roll out from under the covers, knowing I look like shit but not caring in the slightest. I open the door without even looking and turn for the kitchen as she walks in.
“You’re even sexy when you haven’t showered in days.” The sound of his voice makes me jump and I whole-heartedly regret the self-pity sessions I’ve been throwing the past few days.
“Travis. What’re you doing here?” I should run my hands through my hair to calm it, but I don’t want to acknowledge how bad it really is while he’s standing in front of me. I’ll leave that freak out for when I see it in the mirror.
“I brought you breakfast.”
“Why?” I’m being rude and stupid. I’ve spent days thinking of what I’d do if I saw him again.
“Does a guy have to have a reason to bring his girl breakfast?” His girl?
He slams the door closed behind him and sets down enough food for days. He starts to unload the grocery bags, pulling out a carton of eggs, juice, bacon, chicken, lettuce, peanut butter, chocolate syrup and whipped cream before I stop him.
“What is all of this?”
“I wasn’t sure what you had here, and I wanted to make sure we have enough to replenish our energy.”
I hold up the whipped cream and cock my head to the side. “Since when does this help replenish energy?”
“Spray some on your tits and watch me come to life.” He smiles as he teases, and I feel my insides start to lose the numbness that’s been prominent for days.
“I’ll spray some on you.” I try to retaliate and harass him, but it backfires quickly when he starts stripping in the kitchen. “Oh, my god. What are you doing?”
“Taking you up on that offer. But I want to warn you before we go at it. I haven’t been with anyone in over a week and I’m pretty sure a gust of wind across my dick would make me come right now.” He’s approaching me so fast, I can’t get away from him before he’s half naked and groping me everywhere.
“Wait.” I hold up my hand as if I’m really going to stop his advances. “Are you just here because you’re horny?”
“No. Well, yes… and no. You make me crazy. I’ve thought about you all week and decided that when I couldn’t even accept another woman’s advances at the club any of the nights this week, I needed to come see you. And honestly if we don’t try to make something of this, I’m pretty sure my dick will shrivel up and die because it’s been you, Bri. All you. I can’t get you out of my fucking mind and believe me, I’ve tried. I miss you and it’s not good for either of us to deny what’s between…”
“I agree.” I stop him mid-sentence after hearing him say everything I’ve been feeling. To know I’m not the only one caught up in the tension makes me feel better, even though it’s overwhelming to think of how quickly I fell for him.
“Good. I can save the hour of talking I did in the truck on the way over here listing all of the reasons this can work.”
“You do realize this will mean you have to say no to all the women that come at you.”
“Done.”
“You make it sound so easy.”
“It is. This week showed me that. You’re the only one I want.” He seems
sincere in saying everything I’m wanting to hear.
“I need to shower. I’ve been in a shitty pity mood all week and there’s no way I’m letting you touch me like this.”
“You have five minutes before I join you.” He turns me away and slaps me on the ass to send me rushing for the shower. When I walk away… he reminds me of his intentions. “Five minutes and I’ll be licking that tight pussy of yours. Get in the shower.” I know he’s a man of promises, he’s proven that, so I don’t waste any more time without some soap on my body and a razor in my hand. I didn’t even take the time to wince at the mirror when I saw how terrible I looked.
Washing away all the sadness of the past few days feels amazing and I can’t believe I let myself do that. I should’ve gone to him and made him listen to reason like he did with me.
I guess one thing is better this way; I for sure know how he feels about me.
“You done yet?” I can see his naked profile through the frosted glass door.
“Almost.”
“I put away all of the food. I hope you’re ready to get fucked real good. I have all the time in the world.” His boldness makes me smile and before I can finish shaving, he’s sliding open the door to watch me. “Fuck. Bend over again.” He makes me feel brave, so I move torturously slow, purposely testing his patience and giving him a view of everything in the process.
I slide the razor up my leg and then bend over to do it all over again. The water runs over my back and through my hair, drenching my entire body.
The weight of his stare adds to the tension in the room and I can already feel the excitement rolling through my body as I anticipate his first touch.
I glance at him over my shoulder and catch him stroking his cock as he watches me. “You are killing me. Can you shave later? I don’t care if you’re smooth.”
“I’m done.” He lets me step out of the shower without an attack, but that’s as far as it goes. He helps me towel dry, groping in all the right places as he does and by then I’m in the same frenzy, grasping to get my hands on him just as much as he is me.
We finally make it to my bedroom and he stops us just before we reach the bed. “You’re gonna have to bend over for me again.” I turn to do as he asks, leaning over the bed for support.
He goes to his knees behind me, gripping my ass with both palms and pulling me back against his face to start the teasing. I can’t speak through the torment and just close my eyes to feel everything he’s doing to me all at once.
The power I feel is insane. I’ve made a man named Chaos, President of a motorcycle club at that, go to his knees to please me because he couldn’t keep his hands off of me. He makes me feel sexy every minute I’m with him and that’s something I’ve never experienced before.
My heart is full with the promise of a future with a man who wants to be with me and will protect me above anything else, he’s already proven that. I feel loved; even though he hasn’t said it yet, I sense it. I know it’s there and it goes both ways.
The chemistry we have is explosive and with every lick between my legs, I’m hoisted to new heights. I squirm in his grip, begging to reach the edge and waiting for him to do something bold to make me do it.
I’m at his mercy, yet he’s also at mine. We’re both desperately grasping for relief of all the pent-up tension between us when he stands to take me from behind.
There’s no need to prep me this time, I’m starving for his touch. He yanks my hips back and drives deep inside me all at once. His rapid thrusts are met with him pulling me against him so hard that the two of us are slapping together and moaning so loudly I’m sure the neighbors can hear us.
Then he sticks part of his thumb inside my ass and I’m seeing stars while he continues his pace and I’m paralyzed in ecstasy.
“Shit, you’re choking my dick. So tight.” He’s breathing heavy through his movements, having to pause between words… and I can’t move.
“That’s it. Milk my cock, baby.” I can feel his approval hit me deep inside when he locks up and holds us both in place. “God, I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too.”
Epilogue
I didn’t make it a full week without moving in with Travis. In fact, he was at my apartment for the first three nights and I’ve stayed at his house every night since for the past month.
We’ve already talked about me taking the last semester of college classes I need to graduate, starting in August. I’m going to take some of them online, but I’ll have to commute for a few of them. He’s actually the one who demanded I finish school and even promised to travel to see me during the week to make it easier on both of us.
He gave up his room at the clubhouse and even though he’s been busy working, he’s been home every night to spend time with me. He came clean about my father owing him money and even cleared his debt when he dug deeper into some of the business that was being done under the old officers.
He doesn’t tell me much about the club, and I don’t ask. I know there’s stuff going on that would is questionable, but I have a hard time hating on a group of men who risked their lives to save twenty women they didn’t even know with no reward to them whatsoever.
I’m thankful for those guys every single day and I wanted to find a way to show them how much I appreciate them. I don’t want all the guys to think of me as some obligation that their fearless leader is tied to like a ball and chain.
I decided on a club cookout, which I had to beg Trav to let me have, but once he finally agreed the whole idea started to blow up. It’s turned into a charity event with over two hundred guys from all over planning to attend.
To say I’m overwhelmed is an understatement.
My SUV is filled with all the supplies as I pull up to the front of the club house. Travis is standing by the door when I step out. “Prospects… help with all of this shit.” He yells behind him and five guys come to help unload everything.
“I think Elaina is supposed to be here soon to help.” He kisses me before he responds.
“If she can come off of Poe’s dick long enough to make a difference.”
I slug him for teasing his sister. “Leave her alone. She’s happier than I’ve ever seen her. You should be thrilled about that.”
“Oh I am. I just have to give em’ both shit because… well, I can. I don’t want to talk about them. I want you to let these guys do the work for a minute and you come with me. I have something to show you.” He takes my hand and leads me to his motorcycle.
I’ve grown to love our rides together and don’t put up a fight once he’s straddling his steel horse. I slide on behind him and take my usual place plastered to his back, holding the man I love while we race down the road.
It’s only about a five-minute drive before he turns onto a dirt road and then enters an empty field. He moves slower over the small trail until he’s turning off the engine and bracing both of his feet on the ground. “Come here.” He reaches down and takes one of my hands that’s splayed across his stomach.
“What are we doing?” I let him lead me off the bike and then to straddle his lap, facing him with nothing but sunshine and wide-open space around us.
“You know I love you, don’t you?” The way he’s starting this conversation scares me a little.
“Yes. And I love you.”
“Look out there.” He points to the right, showing off another mostly empty field, but this one is surrounded by trees with a pond in the distance.
“It’s perfect.”
“I know it is. And this is the perfect time and place for us to talk about what we both want out of life.” I don’t know what direction this is going, so I try to stall.
“Ok. What do you want out of life?” I throw his question back at him and hope like crazy that he wants to spend it with me.
“I want to build you a house here. I want us to have babies and then give them the life they deserve, close enough to the club to have the protection, but enough distance so we
can have the peace. I want you to finish school and I’m going to be beside you all the way to help you pursue all of your dreams.” He takes my face in both of his hands, drawing my eyes to his while he finishes. “I want you naked in my bed every night and for you to let me take care of you.” His thumb brushes my bottom lip to pull it away from between my teeth. “I’m already about to explode because I love you. I want to continue to fall in love with you more each day, for the rest of my life. I want you to be mine, Bri. Forever.” I look out once again when my eyes begin to tear up, hearing him bare it all tells me that he’s thought this out. He’s been thinking about his future and as scary as it is to consider what he’s saying, it’s terrifying to imagine him not in my life at this point. “What do you want?”
He’s so vulnerable as I look into his eyes; he’s waiting for me to give him a response.
I lean forward and wrap my arms around his neck, getting as close to him as I possibly can without actually touching his face with my own. We both look at each other as I think about my answer. I purposely turn my head to make him think I’m actually contemplating what he’s asking, when in all reality, I’m dying inside. I love this man and now I can say he’s mine.
“I want you. All the other stuff sounds amazing… but what I want is you.”
He reaches into the pocket of his jeans and pulls out a gorgeous diamond ring. As he slides the ring into place on my finger, a sense of relief comes over me. The love I feel from him is all I’ve ever dreamed of and even though we started off in a messy way, I know life with him will be amazing.
It may be full of Chaos, but I’ve grown to love the madness.
