The room was becoming blindingly bright so much so, that she could see it through her eyelids. She continued to grind her hips against him, feeling the warmth of her mound on his lap. Travis moaned more and lifted his hips to meet her grinding. Ada’s pleasure started to overwhelm her as she ground onto Travis harder, rubbing herself up and down on his hardened shaft under his pants. Ada sat up with a cry as an orgasm shuddered through her body she opened her eyes and watched as Travis’s golden aura danced in time with her white aura, tangling in their own dance of sexual pleasure. She heard Travis cry out and when she looked down at him, his face was no longer pale, but had become a beautiful rosy tone, his eyes back to the brilliant blue they had once been. Ada smiled down at him.
“Wow” he said.
Ada giggled and went to climb off his hips. He reached up and put both hands on her waist. She settled back down and leaned forward kissing him again, a deep and passionate kiss.
“Thank you” Travis said against her lips.
Ada smiled and kissed him lightly on the cheek. He turned his mouth and caught her lips on his, his tongue roamed across hers. Ada closed her eyes and felt the after orgasm tremors flood her body. He reached up and threaded his fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp with the tips of his fingers. Ada moaned into his mouth. Travis moved his other hand up her shirt, cupping her breast, circling his thumb around her nipple. Ada moaned again, grinding her hips down into his lap once more. Travis let go of her hair and held onto her waist, pushing her into him harder. Ada could feel how hard he had become again and couldn’t deny the pleasure it was bringing her.
Travis reached the hem of her shorts tugging at them, but Ada caught his hand and broke off their kiss. Travis groaned in protest.
“Believe me when I say I would love nothing more than to let you continue, but I think I best let you get cleaned up and then you need to come and tell my Father what happened” Ada said as she climbed of Travis’s lap.
Feeling regret at not being able to continue her pleasurable onslaught, especially after being left hanging with Johnny Depp earlier in the night. Travis suddenly looked alarmed, his aura that was still swirling in the room flashed red with fear.
“What’s wrong?” Ada said confused.
“I can’t tell him about what his daughter just did to me” he said.
“No, no, I meant how it came to be that you needed healing” Ada laughed at the relief that flooded his face, his aura went back to the golden light that danced like dust bunnies in the morning sunshine.
Travis smiled a weak smile and sat up, adjusting himself in his pants.
“Yeah I’m in a bit of a mess. I think I need a shower” he said with a chuckle.
Ada grinned and leaned forward kissing him again, running her tongue along his bottom lip. Travis groaned and dug his fingers into her waist.
“Oh girl, you’re not helping” he groaned.
Ada laughed as she headed for the door swinging her hips seductively. She heard Travis groan again as she left the room.
Chapter Two
“Demons are inside you and they’re making their play. Watching and they’re hiding as they wait for the time for a devil to get ready and take over your mind” Iron Maiden.
When Ada came to the front room, Mae and Kade were standing waiting for her. Ada smiled weakly and nodded at them as she raced for the front door. Suddenly a wave of nausea had washed over her. She felt the cold sweat grip at her sides and a pain shoot through her stomach. Ada’s face paled as she ran towards the garden bed. She needed to purge the toxin that she had taken into herself and she needed to purge fast.
Just as she reached the garden bed, Ada felt the violent vomit escape from her lips. The toxins of the Demon bite fell from her body and steamed in the garden bed, turning the weeds brown instantly. She felt Kade’s hand on her back, soothing her. Ada didn’t mind the healing part, in fact it was quite pleasurable, but the removing of the toxins was horrible, especially after a Demon bite. It wasn’t something she experienced very often, which she was forever grateful for. In fact she had only ever experienced Demon toxin one other time, but it was just as bad as she remembered.
“You did a good job child” Kade spoke gently as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and stood.
Markus was standing beside Kade and handed Ada a glass of water. She thanked him and gulped down the cold water soothing her parched throat that the vomit had stripped dry. Ada looked around and could see the two eagles that sat perched on the wooden poles at the gate of Mae’s home; she turned and could see another two circling overhead at the back of the property.
“There are two Werewolves patrolling also” Kade said knowing what Ada was looking for.
The four eagles were Shapeshifters, part of the Aje Authority. They would stay situated until the morning light and then return the next night to make sure that Travis wasn’t attacked again.
“Was it a random attack?” Ada asked.
Kade nodded. Just like the others, no connection, just a random target, but unlike before all the targets had been in public, this time Travis had been in his home. The Demon had lured him from his bedroom and attacked him in the garage. Ada felt the gnawing feeling in her stomach. There was something not right with this attack; it didn’t feel like a rogue Demon. It felt far more sinister. As if Kade could read her, which chances are he could, he put his hand on Ada’s shoulder.
“I have already contacted the Aje Authority; we are going to be investigating this as our main priority. I think we might have more than a rogue on our hands and they seem to have an issue with humans only” he spoke.
Ada nodded and looked at the front door of Mae’s home to see Travis coming towards her and Kade. His hair wet and curled from his shower. When he caught her eye his face blushed and Ada inwardly smiled. It always amused her how much value human’s put on sex and the taboo of it. Kade turned and walked towards Travis, taking his hand before pulling him into an embrace.
“Do you feel up to telling us what happened?” Kade asked.
Travis nodded and pulled himself down onto the step as he rubbed his face with his hand. He looked tired, but Ada knew he wouldn’t sleep. She could feel that although she had been able to heal his physical body, she couldn’t take the fear from him and it was oozing from his every pore.
“I was dead asleep and I could hear someone scraping on the metal of my car. I thought someone was trying to break into it.” Travis said.
He looked up between Kade and Ada and then over Ada’s shoulder, his mouth dropping open in shock. She let her senses move, but couldn’t detect anyone.
“Is that a wolf?” Travis asked frowning.
Ada turned to see one of the Werewolves that were patrolling the front of the property walk past the gate. Ada turned back to Travis and nodded.
“We have two Werewolves patrolling, then see the eagles flying above, they are Shapeshifters. Once we have finished talking I will cast a protection spell over the property and that should prevent anyone coming in to attack you further” Ada said and could feel Travis instantly begin to relax.
“So after you heard the metal scraping what happened?” Kade asked.
Travis turned his attention back to Kade and nodded.
“I got out of bed and went into the garage to make sure no one was in here and it was out of nowhere I felt like something hit me so hard it took every bit of wind out of my body. I didn’t see anything, but I heard a growl, so deep and like gravel. It’s so hard to explain. But it was like nothing I’ve ever heard, it was deeper than a dog growl, it was really scary” Travis said shuddering with the memory.
Kade nodded and turned to Ada.
“Did you sense anything?” he asked.
“It was definitely Demon, but I couldn’t see a face. He wasn’t startled; it was like he was trying to lure Travis out. He knew what he was doing” Ada replied.
Suddenly one of the eagles let out an alarm cry and they heard the roar of one of the Werewo
lves. Kade spun and with the speed of a Vampire was at the gate. Ada touched on her amulet and spread out her feelers. She could sense the presence of the Shapeshifters, the humans, the Werewolves, Kade, but there was another presence, one that was strong but she didn’t know. She started to seek out where the presence was, searching the property. The eagle cried again, before the Werewolf screeched, the screech of pain. The screech jolted Ada; the pain she felt was beyond agony.
“Where is it Ada?” Kade screamed.
“In front of you” she yelled back as she was able to see the shadowy figure starting to materialise in front of Kade.
The figure came into focus in front of Kade and there stood what Ada thought was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. His aura glowed a deep red, but the evil that oozed from his presence was almost overpowering. The man had dark hair that hung down to the centre of his back; his eyes were a piercing blue that almost hurt to look at, his chest and arms were covered in a dark tribal pattern, it was like a tattoo but not done with ink. Ada had never seen anything like it. His muscles seemed to bulge and ripple, almost as if they had a mind of their own.
“Hello nephew” the man spoke.
It was then that Ada realised that from the man’s back were giant wings. This was no man, he was an Angel. But she couldn’t understand how, all of the Angels had left after the Nephilim were born. They had gone back to Heaven, all except the fallen Angel. One Angel. Abaddon. Ada looked over at Kade’s face; it was twisted into a frown.
“What are you doing here? You were banished.” Kade spoke. His voice was oozing with hatred and anger.
Abaddon laughed, throwing his head back before looking back at Kade.
“What you’re not happy to see me?” he asked. “I’m happy to see my nephew the only Nephilim left, the only Nephilim left to protect the disgusting human race”
Kade growled and lurched forward towards Abaddon, but the Angel was too fast for him and knocked Kade to the ground. The eagles cried out and the Werewolves howled. Ada could sense that Abaddon wasn’t about to kill Kade, but she didn’t know why he was back.
The Aje Authority, long before she was born had detained him; he had been banished and held in an undisclosed location, underground, to prevent him hurting more humans. He hated them. He blamed humans for the reason that God had rejected him and he had vowed that he would make them pay by eradicating them.
“What do you want Abaddon, why are you here?” Ada asked.
As if noticing her for the first time, the Angel looked over to where Ada stood, shielding Travis. She had cast a protection spell over his body and that of Mae, Markus and Julien when the first eagle had sent out its cry, but against Abaddon she knew her spells would be powerless.
“Oh Kade, what a beautiful child you have and of age now too.” Abaddon said with a smile, his teeth a glaring white, for all of his beauty the sheer evil of him made him a hideous being.
“You will not touch her” Kade growled.
Abaddon laughed, darting his eyes back to where Kade stood, dusting himself off.
“I have no intention of touching your daughter. Well not yet anyway, she doesn’t look enough like her Mother to grab my attention” Abaddon spoke with a laugh.
Kade growled and lurched forward again. Abaddon laughed as he swiftly moved out of Kade’s reach.
“So what is it you want?” Ada repeated.
Abaddon stopped his laughter and turned his full attention to Ada.
“My rightful place.” He said with a snarl.
Ada sent her feelers out, reaching over Abaddon’s body, looking for a gap in his mind so that she could read him. His protection barrier however was strong. She didn’t let that stop her, usually there was always one way in. Abaddon snapped his eyes and locked them with Ada’s.
“You’re powerful; I can see you are definitely the daughter of Merza. But I’m more powerful than you” he spoke.
Ada screamed as a pain split through her head. Abaddon had cut off her connection.
“I’ve been held for too long in that so called banishment, I want what’s mine Kade. Humans are nothing more than slaves for us. As they were meant to be. We are stronger, more powerful and more superior beings, we were meant to be in charge, not to work with them, but to power over them. I want that back. But this time I’m not going to stop until I’ve got it” Abaddon said.
“You want war?” Kade asked squaring his shoulders.
“If need be. But I had hoped that perhaps you would all see it my way and take away the need for war” Abaddon replied.
Kade shook his head.
“I won’t tolerate it Abaddon” Kade roared
“You see this is where you don’t have a choice. You are the only Nephilim left. I’m stronger than you.” Abaddon laughed.
“You’re only one Angel. There are many Paranaturals. You’re not going to be able to take us all on if we rise up against you” Kade replied.
Abaddon nodded and seemed to be taking on what Kade spoke.
“This is true. I am but one angel. I’m not as strong as every Paranatural. But you’re assuming that every Paranatural will follow your lead. After all Kade, how did I get out? You will see, this time I will have what’s mine” Abaddon said. “But Kade, the morning light is about to rise. You should get home. I want you nice and strong when I kill you”
Ada looked towards the sky and could see the early morning light beginning to rise. Kade looked to the sky as well and cursed under his breath. Abaddon shrugged his shoulders and snorted out a laugh. Suddenly the light around them became a brilliant rainbow of blinding colours. A sound of screeching became deafening and Ada slammed her hands over her ears as the pain in her head split forward again.
‘I’ll see you soon Ada my beautiful girl. Oh and send your Mother my love. I wonder if she misses me’ she heard Abaddon laugh in her head through the pain.
Ada fought to put her protection barrier up to keep Abaddon out. Ada could feel him begin to syphon through her memories, bringing forth her first kiss, her first love, her biggest pain, her largest embarrassment. Ada screamed falling to the ground, her hands slamming onto her head. She reached down with one hand and cried out as she clasped the amulet that she wore around her neck.
The amulet of her foremothers; the Witches of her ancestral line. Within an instant she felt the barrier build and Abaddon was gone from her head. Ada felt a soft hand on her shoulder and she looked up from where she was crouched. Merza, her Mother stood beside her. Her blue eyes shining with anger and love in the same instant. Anger towards Abaddon and love for her daughter.
“He is gone. You are protected” she spoke softly. “Come now stand”
Ada stood up and looked at her Mother, tears streaked her face. It was the first time that she hadn’t been able to protect herself. It was the first time that her magic had failed her.
“Mother” she cried as she fell into Merza’s waiting embrace.
“It’s Abaddon, how did he get out?” Ada asked looking between her Father and Mother.
Kade shook his head.
“I don’t know, but I can assure you that we will do everything we can to stop him.” He replied.
“He said something in my mind. He said that you should miss him?” Ada said to Merza.
Merza frowned and glanced at Kade. Ada couldn’t decipher the look, but it was more than just a glance. Kade curled his lip and snarled.
“He’s dead” Kade growled.
Merza nodded and put her arm around Kade’s waist. Ada shook her head, maybe she was reading more into than there really was, she thought to herself.
“You must go, it’s getting light” Merza said to Kade.
Kade nodded again and shook Travis’s hand, holding onto him tight, before leaving. Ada had forgotten about Travis. She turned and put her arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug.
‘Are you ok?’ Ada spoke into Travis’s mind as she rested her head on his chest, feeling the twinge of passion return.
Travis’s eyes widened.
“Did you speak into my mind?” he asked.
Ada smiled and nodded, looking up at him with amusement.
“Yes, because I healed you we will have a connection for the next twenty four hours, until my energy leaves your body. So wherever you are we can talk without words” she said with a giggle at the look on his face.
“Even if you’re at home and I’m here I can talk to you?” he asked.
Ada smiled and nodded squeezing his waist and lightly head butting his chest.
“Oh that is so cool” he said as he kissed the top her head.
Ada smiled and went to Mae who looked pale and was visibly shaking. The night had been hard on her, watching her son being attacked and then with Abaddon invading her home.
“Mae are you alright?” Ada asked softly touching her lightly on the back.
Mae looked over at Ada; her eyes were red and puffy with tears.
“This is going to end badly isn’t it?” she asked.
Ada shrugged, she felt fearful of what might come and the war that seemed destined to ensue, but the truth was that she didn’t know for sure what was going to happen.
“I don’t know Mae. Abaddon being free isn’t good. I will tell you the truth. But my parents are strong, the Aje Authority is strong. There is a good chance that nothing will come of it. But you will be protected, I will see to that.” Ada assured.
“Can you be so certain? Can you protect my sons? Can you prevent Travis from being attacked again?” Mae asked through a fresh batch of sobs that wracked her body.
Travis stepped forward and put his arm around Mae’s shoulders and kissed the top of her head. Markus and Julien stood beside their Mother still looking visibly shaken. Ada shook her head.
