by A. Joseph

Trusting the words of his uncle he left more things behind. He decided to just bring two pair of clothes, two books on source speech and plants, dried fruits and nuts good for three days. He also brought a bottle of Aqua as water and medicine for the journey. Even a drop of Aqua can keep him hydrated for hours or close shallow wounds. It was just enough to fit in his backpack made from woven plants. It was slim and long like a tube to ensure that it won"t block the wings that grow in their backs.

“Are you ready William?” He heard John knocking at the door.

“Will be there uncle,” William replied as he looked one last time at his room. He will miss this place terribly.

„I promise to go back someday," he said to himself.

“I"ll miss you uncle,” William said as they walk out of the house.

“I"ll miss you too,” John replied. “But enjoy meeting new people, have more friends and be a good friend as well.”

“I will uncle,” William said as he sees Matthew running towards them.

“Ready?” Matthew asked catching his breath.

“I am,” replied William. “Thank you for coming with me.”

“What are brothers for,” Matthew replied smiling. “You need someone to protect you as well and I"m the best protector there is.”

“You sure are,” William said laughing.

“I do hope they have football there as well,” Matthew said.

“I think they do. I"m sorry we did not win this season. We"ll surely win when we return,” William said.

“No worries, we beat those girls on the practice match, that will do,” Matthew said as they laugh again.

“Besides, I heard Diana will be going back to Sylva as well. We"ll surely beat her there,” elbowing William.

“I believe we"ll get used with the sight when we"re using our archangel by then,” William said.

“We sure will!” Matthew shouted raising his hands in the air.

Inchorans and Ardans gave their blessings and goodbyes as they pass by. Both of them had a scarf in their neck and more fruits from the people they meet. It was a tradition in Inchora to send off anyone who will go to the other enlightened cities. As they reach Laurus they see the flowers of the tree. It was the first time again after a thousand years that it bore its yellow flowers. For the past days every afternoon looks like a yellow winter as the whole of Inchora is showered by its small yellow petals.

“I remembered, your father would like me to give this to you,” John said holding out a small seed like that of an apple to William.

  “What"s this?” William asked.

“That"s the true seed of Laurus. It is told that it gives this seed only to those it deems worthy,” John said looking at the tree.

“Your father got it once when we were playing hide and seek inside Laurus before our Trial of Self. He said a plant just blossomed beside him and as the leaves opened up this seed was glowing inside. It is said that the seed of Laurus can bring even the dead back to life,” as tears started to form in his eyes.

“He gave the instructions to give it to you when you"re ready before he died. Peter had the power of transmigration from his archangel and he believes you"d know how to use it when the time comes. He says it is also your birthday gift.”

“Thank you uncle,” William said as tears rolled down his cheeks. He never knew this was the gift his parents were talking about that night. This was the best birthday gift he ever had.

“So Laurus does not grow seeds even with all these flowers?” holding out his hand catching some of the yellow petals.

“Nope it"s just flowers to shower Inchora with its blessings and fragrance,” John said catching some petals and smelling its sweet fragrance.

Sella saw them and waved goodbye to William and Matthew as she assists the small children inside Laurus.

“I sure will miss her and this school,” William said.

“I will too,” Matthew said “but I"m excited to learn a lot more in Sylva. I heard your mom is famous there.”

“Yes she was regarded as a prodigy, and I"m excited to meet my aunt there as well,” William replied. “But I"m nervous too, they might think I"m a prodigy too but I"m not.” “I bet they"ll accept you for who you are,” John said.

“I heard from your mom they"ve wanted to meet you ever since you were born. They just couldn"t leave the city that"s why she never told you about them.”

“Are you sure we can find the enlightened city Sylva uncle?” William asked.

“Yes, just have faith and follow the Aqua deep within the earth,” as he put his hand on the earth and closed his eyes to show them how to feel the flowing Aqua deep within the earth.

The two followed and saw the image of Aqua in their mind like a blue light flowing deep in the earth going to the roots of every plant. They see that the flow goes to the south.

“South it is then,” William said.

“Take care, be safe and be good,” John reminded them.

  “We will,” they both replied.

As they reach the end of the field past Laurus and saw the mountains ahead they both summoned their cherub and merged with them.

“I"ll be back soon uncle,” William said facing his uncle one last time.

“And I"d be waiting,” John replied.

As both waved goodbye and flew to the sky.
