The hostess closed all the curtains except for one. She then asked Dash if we would like appetizers. The hostess leaned over, and Dash whispered in her ear. She nodded and then left.

“So, what do you think?” Kyler picked a flower from a rose bush behind him and then handed it to me. I sniffed the wonderful scent and closed my eyes.

“I think you boys really know how to charm a woman,” I said. “Thank you.”

“Before we get started, I want to make a toast to all of you.” Kyler raised his wine glass. “I’m sorry for what happened with Sonny and what he did at the academy. I should have listened to you guys early on, and we could have avoided some of the drama. I really thought in the beginning he meant well. You guys mean everything to me.”

“Don’t even worry about it,” Dash said. “I had Challis; you had Sonny.”

Braeden chuckled. “And Cassandra and I had Ren.”

We all looked at Oliver. He shrugged, and we clinked glasses. Dash and Braeden patted Kyler on the shoulders. All was forgiven.

“Time for presents.” Oliver got up and collected the four gifts sitting on the table. He handed me the first one and then sat. Because he was next to me, I could see the hardness between his legs. It was the first indication that more than just gifts were planned for the evening; though, I guessed it wouldn’t be done at the table. “I hear training in the upcoming school year is going to be the toughest yet.”

Kyler chuckled. “There’s nothing that could top the real-life training we had this semester.” He toasted us again. “To you guys for making me realize I needed to embrace all my abilities. I couldn’t have survived without you.”

I watched Kyler over the edge of my glass, and he winked at me. Yeah, something was going on.

Braeden sat his glass on the table. “I hear we may get a new headmaster.”

“Damn good thing,” I said. “I don’t trust the current one at all. Hopefully the next one will have a bigger set of balls.”

The guys practically spit their wine out.

“Tell us how you really feel.” Oliver handed me another present, though, I’d not opened the first one yet.

Braeden reached over and placed his hand on mine. “I want to hear what you all think about the following.” He eyed the other guys. “Nobody’s talked much about Edius and what he might do next. Even Aurelius has been mum. You think he’ll show back up to campus?”

I moved the gift away and thought for a moment. The last few weeks had been quiet and, for the most part, the campus had gone back to normal. “He’ll be back. Remember after Challis died? He went on a rampage and began destroying guilds. I’m afraid of what he’s going to do after losing Ren. So, no, I don’t think he’s gone for good. I think he’s planning his next attack.”

“I have to agree.” Oliver then paused. “I think whatever he has planned will be worse than what’s already happened. I just wish we could figure out why he’s doing it.”

Dash raised his hands. “Enough about that asshole. We didn’t come here to talk about him.”

Braeden cleared his throat. “Then what do you think about Ruby and Nicolette? How do they fit into all this? Into our group?” He shrugged. “Sometimes I think they know more than what they are sharing. Ruby has been in the admin building for two years. Surely, she knew some of this stuff was going to happen. And how the hell did she escape from Edius?”

“I don’t know the answers,” Oliver said, “but I trust both. They helped us out of a jam several times. Let’s just be thankful they’ve been around.”

“Did you guys bring me here to wine and dine or talk about the academy?” I moved back a bit and crossed my legs. They each eyed my legs and the short dress.

The guys glanced at each other, and then Kyler moved his chair next to mine. Oliver made the same move, the smile on his face growing. I glanced between his legs and saw it move. Dash closed the last open curtain and moved behind me. He placed a hand on my shoulder, his fingers brushing my neck. I swallowed hard and knew he felt it through his fingers. Braeden moved next to Dash. He also placed a hand on my shoulders, his fingers brushing my hair back over my ear. I was surrounded and happy to be so.

As Dash leaned over and kissed my neck, so did Braeden, the two men sucking and nibbling almost in unison. My heart raced, and I thought the two men were the best feeling in the world. Then a hand landed on each knee, pulling my legs apart. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, two sets of lips moving down my neck to my chest, a hand moving up each thigh.

Hands moved down the top of my dress. Hands found my panties.

I kept my eyes closed, falling into the whims of the four men who had sworn to protect me with their own lives. Fingers pushed aside my panties, spreading my juicy lips. The fingers entered me, one, then another and then one more. I moaned and grabbed the arms of the chair.

Fingers brushed over my nipples, squeezing and pinching, making me squirm in my seat. Lips pressed against both sides of my neck, the fingers between my legs moving faster, pleasing me, making me wetter, making me want more. Suddenly there was a warmth in my soul and then a rush, a wet rush, one racing between my legs. I came sitting in the chair, my nails digging into the wooden arms. Hands then relaxed and so did I, keeping my eyes closed as my body slowly moved from the peak of ecstasy.

I needed to keep them safe so moments like that never stopped. I needed to...

  “Appetizers are ready.”

Hands, lips, and bodies pulled away from me and when I opened my eyes, I found the waitress standing at the curtains, holding our food. She had a smile on her face, jealousy in her eyes.

“The curtain was closed for a reason,” Dash said.

“Obviously,” the waitress replied and everyone returned to their seats.

As we ate our meal, I found myself staring at Oliver and his silhouette against the lights behind him. I stared for a long time, noticing something I'd not seen before. I then thought about Ruby and Edius. I shook the thought from my head albeit temporarily.
