Vultar's Heart, Body and Soul Mate Part 1 Page 5

stand he proceeds to stab his sword into each of them. His attention turns back towards us as the last one drops to the ground yet again. His eyes soon find mine. Staring and then giving a very wicked grin, he starts to move towards us slowly. I hear his voice then. It is as if he is placing a spell on me, with soft yet very tainted words. Saying more and more while keeping his eyes locked directly onto mine.

"What's he saying?" Tronarc moves so swiftly and fast I didn't have time to do anything. He wraps his one arm around me and throws his cloak over my body protectively.

Soon I hear Vultar's voice yelling out some kind of order. Tronarc responds to him by yelling back his answer. The Cobracon's voice is now closer than before. With lightning speed, Tronarc has me safely behind him again. They start to fight; the Cobracon seems to be much stronger than Tronarc, but Tronarc is not letting down. Tronarc is soon on his back pinned to the ground. Horror fills me as I watch the Cobracon thrust his sword into Tronarc's stomach. My scream echoes through the cavern. I turn my eyes up towards the enemy and see his evil grin once again. My mind is so lost now the fear in me is building by the minute. Turning as fast as I can I try to make a break for it? The only place near me right now is the waterfall. Heading towards it, I soon decide that if I'm going to die, I might as well try to take him down with me. My eyes search the area around the waterfall for any kind of object to use as a weapon. Turning slightly I notice a lot of the warriors and guards are trying their best to take the attacker down. Searching once more I notice nothing that I can use, well except rocks. I guess I could hit him with a big rock. It always works in the movies. Why not now?

A strong grip is now on my arm bringing me back to reality. Turning I come face to face with my enemy. Chills start to flood down my spine. Oh my god, he has not yet been defeated? He starts to pull me closer to his body. Kicking, screaming, and hitting him doesn't seem to bother this big, muscle bound, half snake, half man. Tronarc then appears behind him. With one strong motion he has his one hand blade through the Cobracon's back. Now he is so pissed his claws start to dig into my arms. With one forceful move he throws me against the base of the waterfall. Pain covers my whole body; a horrible burning pain shoots through my arms.

Tronarc's voice is now ringing in my ears, "Open your eyes mother! Please!" I feel his healing touch start to flow through me. Opening my eyes I notice Tronarc is bending over me with his hands on mine. I'm so weak, and the pain is so great. In a quick instant the Cobracon appears behind Tronarc. I cannot say the words to warn him fast enough. Again Tronarc is stabbed by the huge sword. He then throws Tronarc a few feet away from us. All of his attention is now on Tronarc. This is the perfect time to attack him from behind. If only I wasn't so weak, and had some kind of weapon. Hell, a gun would be wonderful right about now. Slowly I pull myself along the ground to find some sharp rocks to use. Glimpsing up I notice what is happening to Tronarc. I watch in agonizing terror as he is stabbed over and over again. My eyes start to well up with tears. He does not deserve to die this way, not protecting my worthless butt. I soon find two long dagger shaped rocks. Taking one in each hand, I gather all the strength I can and start to stand. Once on my feet the pain jolts through my body. Forcing myself to ignore it is hard to do. Soon I force all my sore muscles to do their job. Each step towards the Cobracon brings me closer to seeing Tronarc's pain stricken face. He’s on the ground moving and trying to keep his attacker's blade from his body. Seeing this makes my mind and body fight on as well. I need to help him like he has done for me. Soon I am directly behind the attacker. This is when Tronarc notices me. His words soon float through my mind as if he was speaking out loud to me.

No Mother! Get away from here please. I cannot live with the pain of knowing you gave your life for mine.

I cannot live with the knowledge that you died for me either Tronarc.

His eyes glimpse to me once more, and then he slams his hand at the sword's blade in front of him, knocking it across the ground. His long black tail comes up and wraps around the Cobracon's upper body, and then pulls his attacker closer to his own body. Tronarc then takes both of his hand blades out and thrusts them through the Cobracon's ribs. The Cobracon sends his tail to Tronarc's arms and tail to try to get them to release his body. Once this was done, I take the opportunity to attack. Using all the strength I have left, I slam one of my rock daggers through the back of his neck. He turns towards me, giving me the opportunity to slam the other rock through his eye. His body jolts, goes limp, and then slides to the ground.

Looking at Tronarc on the ground bleeding to death starts to tear my heart apart. Kneeling beside him I start to tear pieces of my dress to make bandages. A sick feeling starts to take over my stomach as I place the one poorly made bandage across his stomach. Then out of nowhere the pain in my arms clouds my thoughts once more. This time it is a lot stronger then the last. My head starts to spin or at least that's what it feels like. Somehow Tronarc's hands are now on my shoulders. I soon see him talking but cannot hear anything. It's as if someone pushed a mute button in my head. Deep darkness starts to take me.

Opening my eyes I soon realize Tronarc is now kneeling over me. A feeling of warmth starts to flow through my sore muscles. Opening my eyes once more I come to find the battle is finally done. A lot of injured warriors, guards and leaders are now rushing towards us. Vultar is the first to make it to my side. He looks just as beat up as Tronarc if not more. Knowing he's alive is all that matters to me. Seeing him brings joy to my heart. The darkness soon covers my mind. Silence and darkness take me by their command with the feeling of no hope of return.
