“Babe, it’s been days since I’ve had you. Now, unless you want me to push you up against the wall and fuck you right here, you need to stop talking about your boobs.” I felt my cock pushing against my zipper, clearly liking the idea of taking her, right here, right now. “Besides, we have a run to do. Let’s get you wired up.”

“Seriously, what’s the point of being President if I can’t get what I want,” she harrumphed. “I need you in my bed, Leo.”

“Babe, once we are done with the run, I’m all yours. Now hold still.”

I swept her hair off her shoulder, moving to stand behind her, letting my fingers trail across her skin. Taking longer than necessary to tuck her hair behind her ear.

  “Leo, what are you doing?”

“I have to make sure…” I moved my lips to her ear, my warm breath bringing out goosebumps on her skin. “When I insert my device, that the fit is nice – and – snug.”

“Oh god,” she gasped. Leaning back into me, grinding her ass against my painfully hard cock.

“Yo, what’s taking so long?” Bullet called.

“Fuck, we’re coming,” Danger called back.

“Not yet we’re not,” I whispered across her ear. Before I let things go any further, I slipped the earwig into her ear. The small unobtrusive device would allow her to hear and speak to me even though I would be stationed clear across the carpark. “Just talk normally and I’ll be able to hear you,” I wrapped my arms around her, resting my chin on her shoulder. “You’ll be able to hear me like this. Just as if I was standing beside you.”

“Let’s just call this whole thing off,” she said settling against me, rubbing her hands along my arms. “Let’s just tell the world to fuck off and spend the rest of the week in bed.”

“That sounds amazing, but I think Rodriguez would be pissed if his package wasn’t delivered.”

  “Ugh, this suck!”

“It does Babe, it does,” I agreed kissing her neck.

“Let’s get this over with before someone comes looking for us,” she grumbled, turning in my arms to kiss me quickly.

  CHAPTER TWENTY

  Leo

Forty-five minutes later I was perched on the roof of an abandoned tyre repair shop with the scope of my AR15 trained on the forecourt of the service station across the road. This place was once a busy rest stop with a mechanics, tyre repair shop, truck stop. That was until the new highway opened, bypassing the town and the rest stop, driving business away.

Now it offered the perfect drop point.

From the roof of the abandoned tyre repair shop I could see Rodriguez and his men coming. Bullet was positioned in the diner and Roach was hidden beside the truck stop. Wolf and Tank were with Danger, handling the drop.

“I’ve got you in my sights Babe.”

“Good to know,” she replied making the boys believe she was answering them. Her being wired was just between us.

“Just in case you weren’t aware, your ass looks amazing in those jeans by the way.” To that she lent on the hood of the truck bowing her back popping her ass out. “Babe, just wondering if you could have found a tighter shirt because your tits look fucking phenomenal.” Resting her elbows back against the hood, turning her face up to the sky sunning herself. She had on a tight white tank top under her cut, with a hot purple leopard print bra showing through the stretched fabric. “Babe you need to calm down, you’re getting all hot and bothered,” I growled dropping my voice making it deeper like I know she likes. I reached down to adjust myself as my hardening cock pressed against my zipper. I was getting all riled up watching her little show, and she knew exactly what she was doing.

“I’m fine thanks,” she replied barely moving her lips. Flicking her dark chocolate and caramel hair over her shoulder, revealing the long column of her neck.

“Really sweetheart, because I can see your nipples from here. And they are getting harder by the second.” Through my scope I could see her pulse thrumming in her neck. Her nipples pushing against the fabric of her top.

“I bet there’s something else getting harder by the second,” she muttered. Turning back to help the boys with the delivery.

  “Heads up, Rodriguez, twelve o’clock.”

Her head snapped up, and she immediately went all business.

“Tank, Wolf heads up,” she tipped her chin as three black SUV’s pulled up.

Tank and Wolf flanked her as the SUV’s came to a stop. I scanned all the men as they exited the vehicles. Six guys got out, none of them was Rodriguez.

“Something’s up, Rodriguez isn’t here,” I informed her.

“You Danger?” a gangster looking dude asked Tank.

“Babe, something is very wrong, Rodriguez isn’t here, not even one of his higher ups, these guys are all low-level douchebags. This smells bad.”

I grabbed my phone clicking on the walkie-talkie app.

“Bullet, Roach. Eyes on Danger, Rodriguez didn’t show, and he’s sent some dumb shit lackies,” I informed them.

“Dafarq?” Bullet asked, I could see him shift inside the diner getting into a better position.

“How do you know?” Roach asked.

“None of the main players are here and the dipshit asked Tank if he was Danger. They didn’t even know who to deal with. I think it’s a set up.”

“Shit,” Bullet looked up to where I was positioned.

“B cover them I’m moving to a closer position. Roach I want you to flank from the other side.”

“On it Lamb, move fast, I don’t like this,” Bullet replied.

“Babe, I’m moving to you. This is all wrong. I think this is an ambush,” I informed Danger. “Damnit, Bullet, Roach, are you seeing this? Danger and the boys are getting surrounded. It’s a fucking ambush.”

“This is Danger,” I heard Tank through her earwig.

This is wrong. I have to get to her and fast.

I reached for my handgun, swinging my rifle onto my back as I crouched low, silently making my way across the roof sliding down the fire escape. Gun raised I moved quickly across the yard heading for the cover of a dumpster.

“Really?” The douche in charge of this shit show asked. I was now close enough to hear them, without the earwig. “You bunch of pussies let a chick rule you?”

Rodriguez’s men all started laughing. Tank and Wolf stood their ground behind Danger, but I could see neither of them were happy about it. They both had clenched fists and locked jaws but the tension in the air was building and anything could set it off.

“Tell Rodriguez, that if he wants to send his puppies to do his work for him, then the deal is off.” Danger crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her index finger on her ribs twice. Her signal, letting me know she wasn’t happy with how things were going.

“Oh, someone’s a little testy,” the guy snarked. “You feelin’ a little crampy? You ridin’ the crimson wave, bitch?”

  Wrong move asshat.

Before the guy could even comprehend what happened Danger had him on his knees with the barrel of her gun pressed up under his chin.

“Careful, Babe, be smart,” I murmured.

“Alright boys,” she growled digging the barrel in harder. “You are going to get into your car's turn around and head home and deliver the message to Rodriguez. Or…”

“Or what?” The guy hissed as Danger pulled on his hair.

“Or I start giving you a bunch of new holes. Starting with a new one in the top of your head.”

“Alright, alright!” The guy screamed as Danger tugged on his hair. “Fine, let’s go boys.”

Danger kept hold of the guy at her feet while the others retreated to their cars.

“Now go,” Danger pushed the guy forward sending him crashing into the gravel.

It happened fast, too fast for her to see.

The guy landed on his chest, rolled and drew his gun. All I could see was a gun trained on Danger and I saw red. I ste
pped out from behind the dumpster and opened fire. The guy on the ground didn’t even get his finger on the trigger, then two guys; one bullet for each of them. I fired as I moved.

  Boom, boom, boom.

Three shots, three steps and my body shielded hers.

  “Move!”

Danger, Tank and Wolf pressed themselves hard up against the van. Their brains trying to catch up with what they just saw. The second my eyes reached hers I saw panic. Panic is not good; panic will provoke misjudgement and mistakes. It had been thirty seconds since I shot three of Rodriguez’s men and they were still frozen.

  “Move!” I bellowed.

That snapped them out of the stupor. The three of them scrambling for cover as the three remaining assholes opened fire. Bullets zipped by, pinging off the concrete, getting lodged in the vehicles. I fired at the streetlight above where one of them was hiding, shattered glass and sparks raining down sending the guy scrambling.

I shot; two shots and the guy went down.

  All around me bullets flew.

I stayed focussed, arm up, finger on the trigger, firing.

The gun clicked, I ejected the magazine, slid a fresh one home and kept going. I clocked Bullet to my left coming from the diner heading for where Tank was pinned down. Wolf and Danger were firing over the hood of the van. I caught one of Rodriguez’s guys throwing something.

  “Down!”

The thing exploded loud and bright – a flash bomb – designed to shock and disorientate.

It hit close to Wolf knocking him unconscious.

  “WOLF!” Danger screamed.

Tank scrambled over to them, grabbing Wolf by the neck of his cut dragging him backwards as another flash bomb was thrown from behind an SUV. The bomb exploded adding to the slowly dissipating smoke from the first bomb. The smoke hid their retreat, but it also obstructed them from the shooters view.

“God damnit Bullet, take that fucker out,” I hollered. There was a gunshot, a grunt and another shot. “Bullet!” No answer. “Bullet!”

“Keep your pants on Lamby boy, I am fine. Same can’t be said for the fucker.”

“There’s one left,” Tank called out.

  “How’s Wolf?” I called back.

“Fine, knocked out, he’ll have one hell of a headache through,” Danger replied.

  “Babe, you ok?”

“Yeah. I’m pissed as fuck, but ok.”

The ping of a bullet had me ducking behind one of their SUV’s.

“Babe, seriously are you okay? Don’t lie to me,” I said low knowing the earwig would pick it up.

“I’m fine. A few scrapes, that’s it. I’m fine I promise,” her soft voice sounded in my ear and I let go of a breath I’d been holding. “Baby?”

  “Yeah, Babe?”

“Get us out of here, Ryan needs the hospital.”

I saw the tires of the SUV at the back of the line dip.

“Found you.” The fucker was trying to get on the roof, get to higher ground, get above his prey. “Bullet,” I called out.

  “Yo.”

  “Go right.”

I approached from the left, Bullet from the right. Just as I rounded the back of the SUV, I caught sight of a boot. I reached up grabbing the asshole by the ankle pulling him down; hard. Bullet rounded the SUV as the guy hit the ground, laying a boot into his stomach.

“All you had to do was deliver a message,” I snapped at the asshole gasping for air.

  “Fuck you,” he spat.

I shot, then Bullet shot, then I shot again.

“Clear,” Roach said coming up behind us gun drawn barrel pointed down.

“Where the fuck have you been?” Bullet snapped.

I didn’t stick around for the answer.

I took off needing to find Danger.

Needing to have Willow in my arms.

I needed to know she was safe.

I found them inside the service station. Tank had a few grazes up his arm, Wolf was woozy with a nasty gash to the side of his head, blood running down his ear. They were injured but alive.

Then my eyes landed on Willow. The way she looked at me, she was no longer badass Knights Fury President Danger, she was hurt vulnerable Willow Robertson. She stood, not caring if the others saw and walked straight into my arms.

“Babe, you told me you were okay.”

I tilted her chin towards me, she hissed at the contact. She had road rash on her cheek and a cut on her chin. She rested her forehead on my chest, burrowing in as close as she could get. I wrapped my arms around her holding her tight.

“I am now,” she whispered, her voice coming through my earwig.

“We need to clean this mess up and get the fuck outta dodge,” Tank said softly.

I kissed the top of Willows head, her amber eyes finding mine.

“Babe, we need Danger, just a while longer. Then we go home, and I can take care of Willow ok?” She nodded, stepped out of my arms, and I immediately felt the loss of her warmth.

“Tank, take one of the SUV’s and get Wolf to the Hospital.” Her voice was shaky. She cleared her throat and her voice came back stronger. “Get him seen to and then get rid of the vehicle.”

“On it, D.” Tank bent down hefting Wolf into his arms like he weighed nothing at all, like he was picking up a child.

“I’z fine Illow, really,” Wolf slurred.

“I know you are big guy, but you know I’ll worry if you don’t get checked out,” she said touching his arm.

“Danger, the area is secure,” Bullet said holding the door open for Tank.

“Bring the bodies in here. Drive the SUV’s into the fucking building. Make sure all the shell casings have been picked up. I don’t want anything leading back to us. Then torch the place,” she ordered.

An hour later we rolled back into the compound, as the fire department headed out to the abandoned service station that was now well alight. Fifteen minutes after that, church was called, and Danger declared me the new Road Captain.

  No vote, no arguments.

Three hours later Wolf made it back with ten stitches, a mild concussion, a splitting headache.

“Wolf you are being ridiculous,” Danger scolded.

Wolf took it as a sign of weakness that he passed out.

Wolf, Tank, Bullet and I were in Dangers office. VP, Sergeant at Arms, Enforcer and newly crowned Road Captain.

“How is it not ridiculous, that your fucking VP passed the fuck out?!”

“Wolf stop acting like a child. You didn’t pass out; you were knocked un-fucking-conscious by a goddamn flash bomb protecting your President. You did your fucking job. Now, if you’re done throwing a tantrum, maybe we can figure out what the hell to do about Rodriguez,” I said handing him a beer.

“Who the fuck died and put you in charge?” He challenged.

“There was a vote,” I shrugged.

“No there wasn’t. There was not vote. I didn’t vote. I don’t remember no vote.”

“Well, you were knocked the fuck out,” I smirked, leaning against the corner of Danger’s desk.

“I like this guy,” Tank grinned.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

  Danger

It was party night. The common room was full of people in full party mode. The drinks were flowing, the pool tables were full. Laughter and music filled the air mixed in with the scent of cigarettes and weed.

I walked up to the bar tapping my knuckle on the counter three times, signalling to the prospect I wanted a shot of whisky with a beer chaser. Maggie walked over with a bacon and egg roll on a paper plate, placing it in front of me.

  “Eat.”

  “Shot.”

“Ah-ah-ah,” she said shooing the prospect away. “No more alcohol for you Missy until you’ve eaten something.”

  “Prospect leave the booze.”

“Walk away Drake, walk away,” Maggie insisted.

  Drake backed away slo
wly with his hands in the air and my drinks still in his hands.

“Drake, what the hell? President,” I said tapping the patch on my cut.

“Sorry Danger, no offence, but Maggie is way scarier than you. Besides, she feeds me, I ain’t gonna mess with that.”

“Fair point,” I nodded picking up the bacon and egg roll. Taking a bite, I groaned in appreciation as the tangy BBQ sauce hit my tongue.

“Baby Doll you need to look after yourself,” Maggie said as Pepper, another prospect placed a plate of sweet potato fries with herb mayo in front of us.

“I’m looking after myself,” I grumbled, snagging a fry.

“No, you’re not. I hate to say this Huni, but you look like shit. I can see you’re not getting enough sleep and you’re not eating.”

“I eat,” I snarked holding up my roll.

“No, you’re not. I notice who is and isn’t at my table. And you Miss Danger have not sat down at my table for a meal in over a month. Even then, you only eat when I bring food to you and force you to eat.”

She was right, I haven’t been taking care of myself. I thought I was doing a good job of convincing everyone that everything was okay. I wasn’t doing as well as I thought. I was stressed and needed a release. I couldn’t help my eyes wondering to Leo who stepped up to the other end of the bar getting a round of shots.

“Well he looks very delicious,” Maggie grinned.

“What?” I snapped my eyes back to my food, my cheeks burning.

“Huni, you have been making bedroom eyes at that boy ever since he walked in the place.”

“Maggie, you need to eat something I think your blood sugar is low,” I smiled sarcastically shoving the last of the bacon and eggy goodness into my mouth.

I continued the lie we had been telling, since the beginning. There is nothing between Leo and I, we flirt that’s all. Leo and I had been spending more and more time together and things we’re getting serious.

I looked back down the bar and my eyes locked with Leo’s. He was leaning on his forearms on the bar, he gave me a small head tilt and I felt my face heat. I wanted to turn away and hide, but I refused to be the one to break eye contact. The heat in my face was mirrored by the heat building between my thighs. I squirmed slightly in my seat, Leo noticed, smirked, winked and I instantly became wet.
