Second Blood: A Reverse Harem Tale (Lovin' the Coven Book 2) Page 13

His hand slid lower and closer, letting the tips of his fingers curl under me. His middle finger nestled into the crease in my pants and started caressing me. It would have been a little suspicious if Dennis could see his whole arm moving.

I turned my head and looked at him out of the corner of my eye, narrowing my lids.

I'll let you play, but I can't believe you're doing this.

He just broadened his smile and turned to look out the window again. "You look lovely, today. Can I ask you a question?" He turned back to look at my face as he increased the pressure with his finger.

"What?" I managed to get the word out without moaning.

"How come you don't wear skirts? You're always wearing leggings or jeans."

  The little shit.

I could only imagine the trouble he would get me into if I wore a skirt. "It's winter. Cold."

Great, now I'm not even talking in complete sentences…

"Huh. I guess your legs would get cold. It would probably be hard to stay warm, huh?"

He forced the front of my leggings into me a little and rubbed his finger in the channel he'd created. I'd have bet hard cash I was going to end up with a spot on the front of them.

"Yes!" I answered his question and did not cry out in pleasure. I swear.

  "You okay, Dot?" Dennis asked.

My face flushed and I nodded, meeting his eyes in the rear-view mirror.

"You don't sound okay. Your back hurting?" Jimmy chimed in next to me, being a little shit.

"Yeah. It's a little stiff," I managed to say and looked down at his lap. I wasn't wrong.

He was enjoying watching me squirm. Immensely. I focused on the road and tried to ignore the sensations spreading through me. I tried. It wasn't working. I could feel it starting. His fingers, and knowing Dennis was right behind me, were quickly becoming too much.

Jimmy turned to look at Dennis. "You happy to be off for a couple of days?"

"Hell yeah. You're not?" He sounded confused.

"Oh, I am. I especially love it when the next shift rolls in and we get to walk out of there. Getting off is my favorite feeling in the world."

  No. He didn't.

I couldn't believe he even stressed the words. He was literally teasing me to a mind-blowing orgasm. What scared me more was the fact that I was letting him, with his best friend sitting behind me.

"Yeah. That's a good feeling," Dennis answered slowly, unsure what the hell was going on.

"You should thank Dennis for coming along with us, Dot."

That did it. I shuddered in my seat, managing not to scream, arch my back, and crash into the ditch alongside the highway. I breathed through my nose, letting it pass through me. I put my elbow on the door by the window and brought my fist to my lips.

"Thank you for coming, Dennis," I managed to squeak out after coming down.

  "You're uh…welcome."

His voice was beside my ear. I gasped, not knowing when he had leaned forward. He was close enough to see exactly what was going on, too.

I backhanded Jimmy in the chest, and reaching down, grabbing his wrist. I moved it over to his lap. Too little, too late. I should have paid more attention to where Dennis was. "Jerk."

"Oh, shush. You know you liked it." He grinned at me from across the car.

  "Sorry, Dennis."

"Don't worry about it, Dot. Not only is he a pervert, he loves embarrassing people. Especially his friends. That was kind of hot, by the way." He sounded okay, but his face was beat red, and his eyes shifted in every direction, avoiding eye contact…even in the mirror. I couldn't blame him. I'm sure my face was the same color as his.

Every time I ended up around Jimmy, I always think that there was no way I could ever be more embarrassed than I was right at that moment. He consistently proved me wrong. What's worse is I was really starting to like it. With Chief, it was understandable, but this was Dennis, his best friend. That scared me, too. And sent a shiver up my spine.

I pulled off at the rest area and parked without a word.

  "Gotta pee?"

"Well I need to use the fucking bathroom, that's for certain."

I got out of the car and ran inside to clean myself up a little, leaving them in the running car. If Jimmy followed me in, we would definitely be late to the airport…

"Feel better?" He snickered as I got back in the car.

  "Dryer, that's for sure."

His snicker turned into a full-blown chuckle.

Thankfully the rest of the drive to the airport was uneventful. I don't think I could handle anything more.

She was waiting curbside as we pulled in. Luckily, she hadn't changed at all since I saw her last month. Even though she was wearing a heavy winter coat, you could tell she was very thin, almost waif-like. Her blonde hair had been pulled up into its usual ponytail and hung out the back of her woolen hat. I waved as we parked in front of her and she flashed a cute little smile.

"Hi, Alista!" I shouted as I got out of the vehicle after popping the trunk.

  "Greetings, Lady."

The poor girl was shaking. She wasn't used to harsh winters.

"Get in the car! Oh, my Lady, your lips are blue. Were you waiting long?"

  "Plane was early. Of course."

  "Why didn't you wait inside?"

"I didn't want you to miss me."

I gave her a quick hug and opened the door behind Jimmy, practically shoving her inside. "Turn the heat up for her!"

I grabbed her suitcase, set it in the trunk, and got back in the driver's seat. "Alista, meet Jimmy and Dennis." I pointed to them as I said their names. "Guys, this is Alista Dell."

"Welcome to town." Jimmy nodded from the front seat.

Dennis offered her his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."

I smiled and pulled away from the curb, heading home.

The vampires wandered around the house, each claiming a room. They'd hit it off with Alista almost immediately. I was happy and kind of shocked because of her shy nature.

I spoke to Yuki and George about furnishings, offering to take them furniture shopping, but they insisted that Mr. Abernathy had set up a bank account for them to cover living improvements, as well as to cover their day to day expenses. I nodded, they didn't look like they would accept any more help.

"The house was more than enough. Mr. Abernathy thanks you," George said curtly. "We have a truck full of our stuff coming from home tonight. We can order for Amir and Yvette and have it delivered. We already spoke to Alista about accepting the delivery."

While they were looking around, I took Alista outside and familiarized her with the wards and their feeding points. She picked it up quickly and even sent a bit of power into them, just to watch them flare.

With that, my work with them was over. Unless they were attacked. Though I still needed to uphold my part of the bargain with Mr. Abernathy. I'd take care of that tomorrow.

"You all set?" I checked with Alista, one last time.

"Yep. They each picked a room, but I'm going to stay in Yuki's room until this is over. She doesn't mind bunking with George."

  "I bet she doesn't. He's cute."

"And gay, and her cousin. That's why she doesn't mind sharing a room with him."

"Oh. I thought they were a couple."

"No. I asked. I thought the same thing."

"Well, I need to get going. You sure you don't need anything?"

"No. I have money, I'll order takeout or something."

"Okay. You have my number if there's any problems or change your mind. I'm serious. If you need anything, let me know."

  "Dennis said the same thing."

I smiled. While I was happy a little bit of romance might be flaring for the two of them, I had to slay the green monster welling up inside me. It took me a moment to get over that. Quickly, I blurted, "He's cute and a sweetheart."

  "He is."

"Ten bucks says he stops by tonight to check on you." I put air-quotes a
round the word check.

  "Nope. Not taking that bet."

I chuckled and headed for my car. Mildly convinced one problem had been dealt with.

  CHAPTER 15

The house seemed so empty. Candace was at work, the vampires had moved out, and Josie went to the bar. I saw her hastily scribbled note telling me to meet her if I wanted. How she got there, I didn't have a clue. If Jimmy wasn't on his way to pick me up, I might have met her.

I jumped in the shower quick and had just wrapped a towel around myself when the doorbell rang. I padded out of my room and almost slipped on the hardwood floor, catching the couch and saving myself from a nasty bruise. I finally made it to the door without injuring myself.

  "You have horrible timing."

  "What? Why?" Jimmy laughed.

"I almost killed myself getting to the door. You couldn't have rung the doorbell a minute later?"

"My bad," he said as he entered, shutting the door behind him.

  "Where are we going?"

  "It's a surprise."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "I don't like surprises."

  "You did today…"

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "I'm going to get dressed."

"Can I ask you something first?" He sounded serious. I was almost worried.

  "What?"

He grabbed the hand not holding the front of the towel and pulled me over to the couch, sitting me down gently and kneeling in front of me.

"If the words will, you, and marry me come out of your mouth, so help me goddess, I will punch you."

He tilted his head and then realized the position we were in and snorted. "No! Goddess, no. Sorry, I just wanted to talk to you for a second."

  "Okay. Good."

  "I hope."

  "You hope what?"

"That the conversation we're about to have is good."

"I won't know unless you actually start."

  "Was today good for you?"

Not where I thought he was going to go with it. "You're worried I'm mad because you made me come in front of Dennis?"

  "Yes."

"Little late to worry about it now, but no. I'm not mad. Embarrassed to all hell, but not mad. As long as you understand, I don't mind your games as long as it's somebody I'm comfortable with. Chief, fine. Dennis, pushing it. Okay?"

He breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, good. I'm sorry, I just get caught up in the moment of things sometimes, and Dennis kind of yelled at me after. I was getting the vibe that you were enjoying it, but it made me wonder."

I spread my legs exposing myself in front of him. His eyes immediately drank in the sight. "I'm going to be very honest with you, and don't let this go to that thick little head of yours." I paused to gently rub the front of his slacks with the tips of my toes. "You let me in on another little secret I didn't know about myself today. I liked being watched. I liked you showing me off. The other night at dinner with Chief was hot, but this was… Yeah. Especially having to hold it in like that. Made it ten times better."

He smiled and leaned forward, kissing me on my lips. "And that just made it a hundred times hotter, knowing how much more you liked it than I thought. You just made me very happy."

He lowered himself a little and kissed my neck, tugging my towel apart and going even lower. He gently kissed my right nipple and the center of my chest, before reaching the left and flicking his tongue across it. He kissed my tummy and belly button, but before he got any lower, I stopped him.

"I want to get to dinner before they close."

  "One more second…"

He continued his journey south and kissed me once more, right at the point where my patch of pubic hair met the top of my lips. I shivered at the intimacy of it.

He stood up and offered me his hands, but I shook my head. Instead, I unzipped him, reached in, and pulled him out the front of his pants. He was semi-hard from seeing me naked and planting little kisses over my body, but he was hot in my hand. I leaned forward and kissed the tip before putting him back in his pants. It had gotten a lot harder to accomplish. There wasn't anything semi about his state after that.

  "That was fucking hot."

"Figured you'd like that. Tit for tat."

"I like that expression. When I was younger, I thought it meant show me your boobs and I'll buy you a tattoo. This is much better. I like your tits, but I don't know if I'd like you with tats."

"You're impossible," I said with a short laugh. "I'm going to go get dressed. You wait here."

  "Yes'm."

I grabbed my towel as I stood up. I hadn't washed my hair, as this was my second shower of the day, so it would only take me a few minutes to get ready.

Panties, leggings, and a soft sweater later, I walked out of the bedroom. He took one look at me and shook his head.

  "What?"

"This is a date. You have to dress the part. Come with me." He got up, walked over to me, grabbed my hand and pulled me back into the bedroom.

I stood in front of my dresser, staring at myself in the mirror as he stood behind me, fingers on his chin. He looked like a sculptor staring at a hunk of marble and visualizing the lines of his strikes.

Reaching down, he grabbed the hem of my sweater, lifting it up over my head and arms. He totally messed up the pony-tail it had taken me agonizing seconds to put in.

He shook his head at the bra, too. With a quick snap of his fingers, it was unhooked, and he was letting it fall forward and off my arms.

"Somebody's had a lot of practice," I grumbled, jealousy flaring through me.

  "Shush. Later."

He bent down and lifted one foot and then the other, sliding my boots off. Finally, he rolled his eyes and pulled down my leggings, holding them as I stepped out of them. Standing up he looked at me over my shoulder in the mirror.

  "Beautiful," he whispered.

"Thank you, but I'm not going to dinner wearing panties."

  "Okay."

He pushed them down over my ass and onto the floor.

  "That's not what I meant."

"Shush. Now I must dress you."

He walked into my closet, flicking on the light. I heard the hangers sliding as he said, "No, no, no, goddess no, hell no, no. Aha!"

I almost didn't want to look when he walked out carrying my little red dress that I hadn't worn in almost two years. I loved it, but it was a tad bit revealing. I'd bought it for a Yule party and never worn it again.

  "That's very skimpy, Jimmy."

  "I know. Arms up!"

I sighed, tried not to laugh, and put my hands in the air.

He got it over my hands and slowly worked it down my body, taking his time and caressing me everywhere. When it was over my hips, he turned me around and ran his hands over it, smoothing it out.

  "Perfection."

"You want to pick the thong I'm going to wear?"

He leaned in until his nose was millimeters from mine, his eyes boring into mine. "No. You do not get to wear panties this evening."

"I'm not wearing this dress out to diner without panties, Jimmy."

His stare turned into a smile. "Yes. Yes you are…"

  "Why should I?"

"Because I told Chief you wouldn't be wearing any…"

I shifted as wetness began to collect at my opening. It wasn't enough to be uncomfortable, but it was enough to give me a chill.

What is he doing to me and why do I like it so fucking much?

  "You insist?"

  "I do."

  "Fine. Let's go."

"I thought that would change your mind…"

  ∞ ∞ ∞

  "Lambresco's?"

"A fine Italian eatery serving the greater Cedar Fall's area since 1953…"

"Been here a couple of times?"

  "Maybe. I like sketti."

I laughed. He really was too cute. I gave him a kiss for the effort. He held the door and I swished past him, my dress flaring where it stuck out of my heavy jacket. Jimmy took it off me as soon as the door closed beh
ind him. Taking his off, he hung both on the brass hooks by the door.

The place smelled delightful and I wasn't even a huge fan of Italian food, or pasta, in general. An older Italian woman lazily sauntered up from the back.

  "Hello, Jimmy."

"Hi, Maria. Table for two, please."

She grabbed two laminated menus and lead us to a table in the back. At least there weren't many people in the place if things got…interesting.

  "Drinks?"

"Vino for the lady, and I'll have a beer, please."

Jimmy slid into the booth motioning for me to sit beside him, the plastic covering frigid against the back of my legs.

"You suck," I said after Maria left.

  "Why?"

  "The seat is cold."

He chuckled as I picked up the menu and started glancing through it, trying to find something that didn't come with, or was made entirely out of, pasta.

"Chicken picatta. That sounds nummy. Even comes with grilled zucchini."

  "That's a good thing?"

"Not a huge fan of pasta."

"And I picked Italian. I'm sorry, Dot. I didn't know."

"It's fine! Don't worry." I even leaned in, giving him a long sensuous kiss. "Learning new things about each other makes me happy."

Maria brought our drinks and I took a tentative sip of the wine. It wasn't bad. "What kind of vino?" I asked Jimmy after Maria left.

  "Chianti."

"I thought you drank that with fava beans and liver?"

"Um, what?" Jimmy stared at me like I'd grown an extra head.

"Never mind." I set my menu down, feeling a little silly.

A few moments later and the front door opened. I could hear the chime, but couldn't see who walked in. I got my answer when Maria walked Chief back to the booth exactly diagonal from ours. She even set his menu down on the side of the booth facing us. I wouldn't have been surprised if she tackled him and set him on that side if he tried to move. I cocked an eyebrow at Jimmy.

"Isn't that weird. Of all the open booths she set him right by us. Wonder why?" I asked dryly.

He didn't even try to look innocent.

Chief didn't speak, just nodded hello.

I tilted my head to him and picked up my menu again, just for shits and giggles. It might have been because I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I could pretend to be a normal person eating in a restaurant. Yep.
