Bodyguards Boxed Set Page 128

by Julianne MacLean

“Cold?” He lay next to her and gathered her in his arms. “But it’s such a warm day.”

“Mmm...” She moved sinuously against him. “I wouldn’t mind if it got a little warmer.”

  “You read my mind.”

“There’s a lot of that going around.” She kissed him until they were both breathless. “I want to make you crazy,” she murmured against his lips. “Tell me what you want—what you really want.”

He grinned, “You’re the mind reader. You tell me.”

She closed her eyes, pictured the remote, and pressed the On button. A silvery black-and-white image came into focus—an image from Jamie’s perspective of her looking down on him, her legs astride him, as he lay on his back. She saw herself unbuttoning his shirt, felt his hunger for her.

“Mmm...” She rolled him onto his back and straddled him. Swiftly undoing his shirt buttons, she gently stroked his chest. The bullet wound had healed into a puckered little scar. Leaning down, she kissed it lightly, then took a flat nipple between her lips and gave it a bite, making him moan.

“What else?” she whispered, closing her eyes. She saw herself from his view again, in glimmery soft focus, nude from the waist up—her high, round breasts, her delicate shoulders, her wonderfully narrow waist...

India whipped off her T-shirt and bra and tossed them aside. Jamie closed his hands over her breasts and arched upward, a low, feral growl rising from his throat. She mentally switched off the remote and reached for his belt buckle.

Some time later, as they lay naked and entwined and deliciously sated, India murmured, “Our tea must be cold.”

Jamie pulled her closer. “I didn’t really want it.”

She stretched, little quivers coursing through her, and felt his body stir with renewed arousal. “Why’d you make it?”

He kissed her forehead. “You wanted it.”

She molded herself to him, feeling a sweet, liquid heat pulsing through her. “How’d you know that, anyway?”

  “My blue sense, I guess.”

  She chuckled. “Good answer, Captain.”

He caressed her lightly. “Why don’t you turn on that little remote control of yours and tell me what I’m thinking right now.”

She smiled and kissed him. “I don’t need ESP to know what you’re thinking. You want to make love again.”

Rolling on top of her, he lifted her hips and slid deep inside her. “And again, and again and again,” he murmured as they rocked together in a dreamy, languid rhythm. “Until the end of time.”

She smiled. “That’s about how long I had in mind.”
