The Enclave of Jyme (G Street Chronicles Presents) Page 16

by Phoenix Rayne

“So what do you normally do for fun?” she asked.

“I like all sports and I like all kinds of toys,” I grinned. I’d let her simmer on that for a bit.

She squirmed in her seat a bit and chewed on her upper lip with a stern look. I had to cough out a laugh that was stirring up in me. She started grinding her teeth together.

“Why are you grinding your teeth like that?” I asked her.

  “Uh.”

“Make a left at the next street,” my eyes didn’t leave her, watching her in this car trying to compose herself was quite comical.

“What are you doing tomorrow evening?” I asked.

“Nothing that I can think of. Why? What’s up?”

  “Pull in there.”

We pulled up to the gate. I told her my entry code and she punched it in. She pulled up right next to my truck, put the car in park, and turned it off. I let her hand go and she looked down at it then at me. I smiled at her and she turned away quickly, looking out the window. I had been tracing the lines in her palm and it seemed to settle her, but I wasn’t sure. I wondered if she liked holding my hand or not. I’d never really done it before and it felt nice.

“My cousin plays in a string quartet and they’re pretty good. They have a show tomorrow night at one of the amphitheaters across town. I thought we could grab a bite to eat then go,” I said. I didn’t know how she would like Native music, but she seemed classy enough to appreciate the art.

“Sure, that sounds fun,” she said. She seemed to be in a good mood, so maybe she wanted to see me again too. I would make up shit to go do or see just to spend time with her.

I unhooked the seat belt and she sighed out loud. I don’t think she wanted me to leave, but I wasn’t sure. She was so hard to read. I leaned over to her and she leaned forward into me. I went to the side of her face and kissed her softly on her cheek. Her breathing was quick and I sensed she wanted more. That’s all the satisfaction she would get from me tonight. I opened the door and walked away from her car.

When I got inside, I looked back. She was still sitting there. She let her window down, started up the car and then drove out of the parking lot. When I got to the condo, the guys were waiting on me in the living room.

“You talk to her?” Loon asked.

  “Yeah, I just saw her.”

“Shit where?” Kanoke asked, both of them sitting up from the back of their chairs, resting their elbows on their knees. We were more alike than we could ever imagine.

“I texted her while I was out running. We met up and talked.”

  “Well?” Loon asked.

  “We’re good,” I assured them.

Kanoke fell back in the chair dramatically. “Man, listen…your love rollercoaster got us all on edge.”

  “Sorry about that,” I apologized.

“No,” Loon and Kanoke both shook their heads. “We love this. We haven’t had some real good excitement since…well, you know,” Kanoke broke off. We sat there laughing and talking about dinner. Loon said they talked to Sheen and he’s going to check his girl, Ayashe.

“She came for me like I owed her some money or something.”

  “Right,” Loon said.

I got up and told the guys goodnight. I needed a shower badly and I wanted to call Cricket before she went to bed. I went and turned on the shower. I sent Cricket a text asking her if she made it home alright, and then I got in the shower. When I got out, I checked my phone and there were no messages. It had only been twenty minutes and Cricket lived less than that from me. I called her and there was no answer. I went to the closet and sat in my favorite chair. I checked a couple of messages from Mom, Patty and Sheen. He left me a message telling me he would handle his girl and I was grateful for that. I didn’t need Ayashe throwing a monkey wrench in my shit.

I called Cricket again and there was still no answer. I put on a pair of gray lounge shorts and stood there for a minute. Cricket didn’t seem like the type not to respond to my phone call. She seemed very eager to see me tomorrow and a little disappointed that I left her car so fast. Did she want to fuck? Tonight? She did turn her car off and then she was sitting in the parking lot for a long time. I stepped in a pair of Nikes and threw on a leather jacket. My dick was throbbing as I walked out the closet. I turned around and went back to my stash. I had to order special condoms for the beast and I had some in the closet in a chest. I grabbed three of them and stuffed them in my jacket pocket. I grabbed a tank from my top dresser drawer and then headed out. Loon was gone and Kanoke was in his room. The night attendant watched me carefully as I walked past him downstairs.

When I made it outside, I called Cricket again. I would just tell her I’m on my way, or do you want me to come over? Shit, I didn’t know what I’d say, but I’d figure it out. This time she answered on the third ring and I stopped in mid-step.

“Hello,” she whispered into the phone.

“Why are you whispering?” I asked her. Her doorbell rang then and that pissed me the fuck off. What the fuck was this shit. She just left me and now she had some fucker at her door. I’d fuck her if she wants me to. I didn’t want anybody else touching her. Before I could even respond to her doorbell ringing, I could hear someone banging on her door.

“Who the hell is that?” I growled into the phone.

“It’s my drunk boss. I think he’s harmless,” she answered with a shaky voice. I ran to the truck and got my gun and knife case before jumping in and slamming the door. I started the truck and drove out of the parking lot.

“What are you doing?” she asked. I didn’t answer her right away. My head was all over the place and all I could see was that preppy fucker in a full dress suit at her front door scaring the shit out of her. He seemed like the date rape type. I would fuck his ass up when I got there.

“Hey now, you don’t have to come over here. I’m not that kind of girl,” she told me. I still didn’t respond to her. I was too fucking hot to say anything. Her doorbell rang again three times in a row this time. I heard the swinging and the creaking of a door opening. I listened hard, but then I heard hangers on a clothes rack. She was in her closet putting on clothes. And then all I could think about was Cricket standing there in front of her closet naked. Shit, my dick throbbed again.

“Look, you really don’t have to come over here. He’s drunk and he’ll stop eventually,” she rushed out, trying to convince me not to come over. She was crazy as hell if she thought I wasn’t going to come over there and beat the living shit out of him.

“Let the front desk know you’re having an overnight visitor and give them my name,” I demanded before I hung up. I was one block away from her building and I needed to let someone know what was up and where I was going. I called Loon.

  “Hey, man, what’s up?”

“Just in case some shit pops off, I need someone to know where I am.”

  “What?”

“Cricket’s boss is at her front door banging on it and shit. She said he’s drunk, so I’m heading over there to handle that shit.”

“You need me to come?” Loon asked in full alert.

“Nah, he’s not that big. I got him.”

“Alright, let me know what’s up.”

“Alright,” I said and then I hung the phone up, pulling up to Cricket’s building. I opened my gun case and pulled one of the knives out; shoving it into my jacket pocket. I jumped out the truck and walked to the front doors. The door attendant opened it for me, not saying a word. I walked to the front desk and the man behind the counter ran over to the elevator to let me on. He reached for my truck keys and I handed them to him and then I thought about my tank in the front seat. Fuck it. I had other important shit going on right now.

“I think he’s harmless, but be careful just in case,” the attendant said. “There’s no one else on the eight floor but them. I’ll call the police if you guys want me to.”

“I can handle it, no police necessary,” I assured him.

“Okay Mr. Samson. It’s apartment nu
mber 808. I’ll be watching on the hallway video just in case.”

I nodded as the elevator door opened. He pushed the button then stepped off the elevator.

I pulled my hair up and wrapped a hair tie around it on my way up. The elevator dinged. I could hear him whining at the door before he even came into my view. He was wearing a blue button-down with a pair of khakis. He didn’t have on any shoes and two cell phones lay on the floor. I rushed him, not wanting him to scream or yell out. He’d scared Cricket enough for tonight.

“She doesn’t want me. She doesn’t want me,” he said frantically. He was looking at me, but I don’t even think he knew who I was.

He wasn’t even aware enough for me to kick his ass. When I kicked his ass, I wanted this fucker to remember it.

I rang the doorbell and pushed him down to the floor hard and he bumped his head on the door frame. I pulled out my phone and called Cricket. She probably thought I was him ringing her doorbell.

“Jyme?” my sweet, scared caramel goddess answered the phone. My dick was at full salute.

“Open the door,” I growled into the receiver. She opened the door immediately; she must have been standing on the other side of it. She opened the door wide and she stopped my breath. Cricket stood there in a pair of the tightest black stretchy sweats I’d ever seen. Her sweatshirt was cut half way off and the shoulders of the sweat shirt hung off of hers. The sweatshirt V dipped down to her pink bra. Her stomach was flat as a board, and her hips spread like pancake batter. Everything else had curves and humps in all the right places. She was not wearing panties underneath those sweats. I just stood there almost drooling now. She looked down at her boss and her eyes bucked wide. I followed her gaze and he lay there snoring with his pants soaked. This fucker had pissed himself. I wanted to take a picture of him and send it to Loon, but I didn’t want to look immature in front of Cricket.

I walked in and closed and locked the door behind me. I walked up on her, pressing my body against hers. I pressed my lips against hers and she moaned. I licked her lips noisily. My tongue was like a wild animal and he wanted to be inside of every hole she had. She opened her mouth for me, and that was all the invite that I needed. I pressed into her even harder then. She tugged and pulled at me. Shit, she wanted me just as much as I wanted her.

My phone rang from my pocket and I cursed aloud. I pulled my tongue out of her mouth and slowly slid my lips from hers. She whined in protest. She wrapped her arms underneath my jacket rubbing my bare back. She stood on her tiptoes and started kissing my neck. She kissed and sucked at my neck and I couldn’t stand much more of that. I tugged her ponytail and her eyes met mine. We looked into each other’s eyes for moment. She was just as hungry as I was.

“I’ll call you in the morning,” I told Loon.

  “Alright, man.”

We hung up and I dropped the phone to floor and pulled my jacket off. I started right back kissing her again. I kicked out of my Nikes and she moved her hands from my bare back to the back of my neck. I squeezed her ass.

“Come on,” I told her hungrily. She jumped up, but that ass was weighing her down. I pulled her up the rest of the way. She wrapped her legs around me. I looked around the room and she nodded toward the double doors. She held on to me tight. She thought I was going to drop her. My sweet, sexy, voluptuous goddess, I would never let you fall from my arms. I could feel her heart racing against my chest. She laid her head on my shoulder and I wanted nothing more than to take care of her for the rest of my life.

An image came to me then. Cricket was at a big stove cooking eggs, wearing nothing but a white collared shirt. Her hair was down and it was full of curls. I wrapped my arms around her while she cooked the eggs. In my fantasy, I brushed her hair to one side and I kissed and licked the side of her neck. Cricket moaned my name in my ear and that woke me from my fantasy.

I kicked the double doors open and she slid down. I put my hands on both sides of her face and then I kissed her as softly as I could. My heart started pounding now. J had told me black girls were used to big dicks and Cricket was black. J also told me that thicker girls could handle dicks like mine and Cricket was a thick one. I dropped my hands from her face and tugged out of my shorts and boxers. She put her hands around me and I pressed against her. There was light softly spilling into her bedroom from the corner.

She sat down on the bed and it was now or never. I wanted this woman. No…I needed this woman. I stood right in front of her and the beast down below was ready to meet her. Cricket took her sweatshirt off and her pink sports bra was lacey, and it made my dick jump. She looked up from her bra and stared right into the one eyed beast. She blinked a few times, frowned, and then she scooted back quickly from him.

“What the hell is that?” she yelled. Cricket looked terrified and that pissed me off. She stared at him in shock. No, no, no. My sweet caramel goddess, don’t be afraid of him; I would never let him hurt you. I kneeled down and we were almost eye-to-eye.

“Wait, wait. I’ll go real slow. I swear I won’t hurt you,” I tried pleading. She sat there in pure shock.

“It won’t fit. I am not a virgin by any means, but I assure you, that will not fit in me. And if it does, I will have to go to the emergency room.”

I dropped my head down, wishing she would touch me; pull me to her or on top of her. But she did none of this and I stood up. The beast was back in her face and she shut her eyes and moved away from him. I picked up my shorts and boxers and walked through her double doors, shutting them behind me. I pulled the boxers on, but laid the shorts on the back of the couch. I couldn’t put them on yet. I picked up my Nikes and jacket and then I sat down on her couch, covered my face with my hands and waited. I would leave as soon as she came out. But I needed to apologize to her face to face.

I sat on her couch for an eternity and then the double doors opened. Cricket walked over to the couch and kneeled down in front of me. I dropped my hands down and then dropped my head to the back of the couch. I stared up at the ceiling, not saying a word. I knew I needed to apologize to her, but I couldn’t find the words right now. She put her hands on my knees and I still didn’t know what to say. She slid her hands over to mine and then I slid my fingers through hers. She was reaching out to me now and I needed to say something to her. She was touching me, and that meant she wasn’t fully scared of me. If she was, she wouldn’t be touching me now.

Cricket stood to her feet and straddled me like a cowgirl. I wrapped my arms around her. I kept my head leaned back toward the back of the couch. She leaned over and kissed me softly. I didn’t react right away. She caught me off guard with the kiss. She kissed me again with a little more force this time. I lifted my head and stared into her soft, chestnut eyes.

“Don’t be afraid of me, Cricket.”

Her eyes got glossy and then she shifted herself to get even closer to me. She wasn’t afraid of me; she was afraid of him.

“I’m not,” she whispered and then laid her head on my chest. I pulled her close and rubbed her back until her breathing was even. My beautiful thick goddess had fallen asleep in my arms.

I didn’t stop rubbing her back and I would sit here doing this until she woke up. Our arms were wrapped around each other and there was no other place I’d rather be. The doorbell rang waking her, and I was ready to beat the living shit out of the drunken bastard at the door for waking my sleeping beauty. Cricket jerked her head up from me.

  “Get up!” I told her.

She stumbled to my feet, holding on to me for balance. We walked over to the door, her hand placed securely inside of mine. I looked out the peephole to make sure it was the drunk. And sure enough it was. Tears were running down his face. This asshole had no shame.

“What’s up with this asshole?” I asked her. She looked out the peephole then turned around and shut off all the lights. She grabbed her phone from the counter and tugged for me to come with her. She let our joined hands go and moved over to the head of the bed. She dialed a number on
her phone and pulled the covers down. She pushed me down to the bed and then spoke into the phone.

“I’m in apartment number 808 and a drunk man is ringing my doorbell. I’m in the bed and need to get back to sleep.”

The doorbell rang again and then he started knocking again. She told the person on the phone. “I don’t care who it is, and I don’t need to speak with anyone about this tomorrow or any other day. Just take care of it please. Okay, thank you so very much,” she hung up the phone and went to shut the light off that was coming from the corner. She walked back into the bedroom and slid into my arms. I kissed her forehead and she snuggled deeper into my chest.

Cricket was safe and sound in my arms. Her soft full lips were open just a little; enough for me to smell her sweet, minty breathe. Her breaths were soft even while she held on to me tight. I could watch this caramel angel sleep for hours. She just melted into me. It was like we were made to fit together. My big, strong arms were made just for her. I’d never felt anything like this before. That’s how I knew I was hers.

Life is like a battlefield and I’d lived in the trenches far too long. I took everything the world gave me head on. A wise woman told me once that what didn’t kill only makes you strong. I knew I couldn’t keep doing the same old thing if I wanted change. I was going with my gut from here on out, and my gut was telling me, she was the other half of my rib.

“Tell me what to do to prove to you that I’m serious. And once I get you, I will never let you go,” I whispered softly to my sleeping Cricket. I will never forget these precious moments with her.

Cricket’s alarm went off on her phone and she threw it across the room absentmindedly. I kissed her face a couple of times and then I traced her features softly. She woke and looked over at the nightstand sleepily and confused.

“You grabbed it and chucked it on the floor about fifteen minutes ago,” I told her. She giggled the sweetest sound I’d ever heard. She shook her head and laughed at herself. She looked at her now all twisted up sweatshirt. She had one arm in and the other out.

“You sleep like a wild animal,” I laughed.
