"I see. And what about your mood? Are you experiencing any problems keeping your emotions in check?"

Tobias hadn't realized he could do anything and when he looked over at Nathaniel he looked at surprised as he was.
"So I just tell him to show himself?" Tobias asked, confused about what exactly he would do.
"It's different for all of us. But I suggest you start communicating with him more. I know he feels like he's just another part of you and in some ways he is. But he also has the ability to control you. You must let him know it's you whose in charge of your body, and you must do it before he's too strong to stop you," Dr. Potts said.
Tobias just nodded, but it honestly freaked him out. As if all this hadn't been enough to deal with. He knew he'd have to face his dragon sometime though, and in many ways he wanted too. It was still scary though.
"Now let's weigh you and I'll take a blood sample," Dr. Potts said with a comforting smile, "then I can send you down to our sonographer, Dr. Grey for your scan."

The doctor flicked a switch and a muffled thumping sound filled the room. "That's the baby's heart beating."
Tobias closed his eyes and listened, not letting go of Nathaniel's hand the whole time. It was beyond surreal, he had felt the baby since the very beginning but hearing its heartbeat like that was magical.
"The heart rate is very normal, in the 140's, looks like the baby is healthy," Dr. Grey said, smiling at both of them.
Tobias felt his chest puff up. His baby was healthy, their baby.
The whole ride home Tobias clutched the ultrasound photo in his hands, unable to shake a smile from his face.
"Stay with me tonight," Nathaniel told him. "In fact, stay with me every night. You should be, you'd be much more comfortable at my place."
Tobias knew it would eventually come to this. And he wasn't disappointed that it had. He'd put his relationship with Nathaniel on hold but he knew there was no point to it anymore.
