This was the shit I was talking about. Kelsi never gave enough fuck about me to clean my shit after sex, hell when we had sex.
“Keep this shit up Ima kidnap you and never let you go.” My words were low and sluggish, but I meant them. She giggled not knowing how serious I was, I wouldn’t elaborate I’ll just let her see for herself.
Once we were both cleaned and clothed, minus her panties, we returned to her desk. She sat behind it and me in front.
“I can’t believe I just did that.” She put her hand on her forehead.
“Chemistry with us is undeniably perfect so get used to that shit.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“Not at my job though, I could get in trouble for that. What if one of my kids would’ve walked in.” She stretched her beautiful eyes to make her point. “I love what I do, and I can’t lose it being careless.” She fussed.
“But the thrill of getting caught made that nut that much stronger.” She glared at me before she burst out laughing.
“I don’t know what it is, but I feel free when I’m around you like I can be myself.” Her eyes drifted off for a minute before she snapped back to reality. “So I just need you to sign here and here, and Young can start Monday.”
“So that’s it? You just gone take the dick and then it’s all business.” I smirked as I grabbed the pen and signed the necessary paperwork.
“If you wanna be real,” she damn near whispered. “The dick was given to me, quite skillfully I might add, but it was definitely given to me.” She returned a smirk.
“Go out with me.”
“What about your girlfriend?”
“Not an issue!” She gave me a skeptical glance. “Seriously, she can’t accept my family she can’t have me. Nothing else to think about.”
What I said was true, but I did leave out the fact that she may be carrying my baby and that I let her come back to stay at my crib until I found her an apartment of her own. I was procrastinating because I wanted to see if the baby was mine first.
It was fucked up, but if I told her the full truth, then she wouldn’t give me the chance I was asking for. If things work out like I planned for them to then, I would put Kelsi up sooner than I expected.
I was serious about us not being together though, she wasn’t what I wanted anymore, and she knew it.
“So what you say, you gone go willingly or do I have to kidnap you?” She laughed, but I was serious.
“When?” The smile that spread across my face must have been contagious because the corners of her mouth began to turn up too.
“Dinner and then I’ll set up the VIP at club NV tonight, come through.”
“I’m not with the drama, so if you good with that then I’m down.” she gave me the side eye. My eyes were focused on her sexy plump lips while she tried to lecture me on drama when the only run-ins that we’ve had were from her bitch ass husband.
“As long as you’re with me ain’t shit popping off.”
She didn’t bother to say anything else, we talked a little more, and she called herself cussing me out about talking to her husband while I was in her guts. She tried to sound convincing, but she didn’t really give a damn. That let me know that she was really done with him if she wasn’t she would have stopped me. My confidence level shot through the roof.
About ten minutes into our conversation there was a knock on the door, and it was Young. Ocean explained to him how the program works, he was reluctant but agreed. She told him she’d see him Monday and me later, then we were out the door.
My thoughts consumed me as I drove home. I was excited for later, I couldn’t wait to be back in between her legs. I was excited for her company too like I said before I wanted more than sex, but I couldn’t deny it was always a tantalizing experience with her.
“You like her don’t you? Young said from the passenger seat.
“What Lil nigga?” I chuckled.
“I saw how you looked at her Uncle she fine as fuck, so I don’t blame you.” He looked straight ahead like he was grown.
“Yo watch ya mouth Young,” he sucked his teeth, and I had to take a deep breath to keep from spazzing on him. I decided to change the subject because today was a good day. “She bad though ain’t she.” I could see the smirk form on his face, damn that little nigga was starting to look like me. “She gone be ya auntie.”
“Good, cause I hate Kelsi. Why you let her move back in anyway?”
I glanced from him back to the road. I could hear the disdain in his voice. He hated her, and the feeling was mutual, and she never missed a chance to show it. I tried my best not to leave him with her, but sometimes I couldn’t help it.
“I know nephew, she’ll be gone soon.”
“Tomorrow wouldn’t be soon enough.” He said under his breath. “Can I hang at pawpaw’s tonight?”
“We’ll see.” I left the conversation at that, and a comfortable silence filled the car.
Pulling up at home, I instantly became aggravated. This was part of our issue. Her sister and mama stayed in our shit, and I was over it. I don’t think there was anything that could change how I felt about her, not even this baby.
After the morning I spent with Ocean, all I want to do is shower and take a nap before this event tonight.
I walked in the house and headed for the stairs, but I was stopped in my tracks when I noticed all the baby shit in my living room. I slowly spun around.
“What the fuck?” Young yelled before I could say anything and Charlotte gasped and grabbed her cheap ass fake ass pearls.
“You should watch your mouth young man!” She scolded.” I see why my daughter has her reservations about you living in her house.”
“I got him you don’t need to say shit to him,” I pointed to Young. “And this ain’t your daughter's damn house, the minute I find out that baby ain’t mine it’s a wrap for her,” I announced. “And you can take all this shit back to,” I waved my hands around the living room.
“I bought this for my grandchild.” Charlotte lied. I knew it because she was selfish as fuck and didn’t give a fuck about anyone but herself.
“Well take it to your house until your daughter finds her own place, I’m going to take a nap when I wake up I want this shit gone, “I said with finality.
“This is the way you treat the woman carrying your child?” Charlotte yelled at my back.
“The jury is still out on that,” I said with my back still turned. When I got to my room, I noticed she had put a bassinet in there I pulled it right out of my room and tossed it right down the stairs, praying it broke.
Exhausted I opted to lay down on the bed to catch a nap and shower later. I stripped down to my boxers and laid on top of the covers. I was ready to see Ocean later, and when I get up I was calling somebody to find Kelsi a damn apartment!
Bryce
After I left Ocean’s job I went right home to do some fucking digging on this Lucas Sharp character, the first thing I checked was to see if he had a record. I mean a thug like him should have one a mile long right? Nope, nothing, I couldn’t find one thing on him except a few parking tickets that were old.
I asked Bailey to ask her no-count baby daddy to check into him, he told her that he actually worked for the common thug. He was a drug dealer, so I knew right then what kind of man he was. How could Ocean be so stupid as to get involved with the likes of him? She wasn’t raised like that. I wonder what her parents would say if I called them and let them know what she’s been up to.
“Where are your divorce papers that were on your desk?” Bailey asked standing in the door with nothing on but a robe, which was gaping open. I subtly licked my lips but right now I wasn’t in the mood for sex, I had to try and find a way to get this muthafucka away from my wife. “Bryce do you hear me?”
“I gave them to my lawyer,” I lied. I didn’t feel like hearing her cry about me not wanting to get a divorce. “Why?”
“Because your precious Mrs. Ocean just dropped them back in the mailbox as I
was going to check the mail. How in the fuck does she know where I stay anyway?”
“She did what?” I jumped up and went to grab the papers that were in Bailey’s hand. I knew this was about to be an argument that I wouldn’t get out of because I was just caught in a lie. “What the fuck is this man doing to her?”
“Why do you care what he’s doing, I thought you said you were done. I thought you were going to get a divorce and we were going to be together.” She yelled, hell I needed a place to crash I was going to tell her whatever it was that she needed to hear from me to allow me to do what I needed to do until my wife finally came around.
Don’t get me wrong my feelings for Bailey were there, she made me feel like a new man and I loved her for that, but I didn’t know if I could see myself without Ocean. If I could have them both I would definitely do that, but I knew neither of them were going to fall for that shit anymore, that year was good but you see how that shit blew up in my face.
“She’s technically still my wife, do you know how that would look if she’s out running around with a common thug?” I tried to rationalize my anger but Bailey wasn’t buying it.
“That’s bullshit and you know it, you still love her admit it.”
“I’ve been with that woman most of my adult life, things just don’t go away like that Bailey. I mean be serious. You’re telling me that you don’t have feelings for your ex, you know the one you cheated on me with.” I glared at her and she swallowed hard.
“That’s different, I told you I would stop seeing him and I have. You told me that you would divorce your wife and you are contesting the papers she sent you. I’m confused at what you want.” She huffed. “And now you’re out here seeking information on one of the most ruthless drug dealers that ever walked the streets of Charlotte. Lucas Sharp is not one to mess with according to Lore. He’s been doing this for a long time and has never seen the inside of a jail cell so what does that tell you.” She yelled at me but something she said triggered something in my memory.
“Does this Lucas guy have any brothers and sisters?” I asked her before I got too excited at my revelation.
“Yeah his brother runs shit with them and they have a sister that’s locked up, Bryce what’s wrong with you.”
“Nothing,” I pulled her to me and kissed her deep and hard. I tried to picture that she was Ocean so I could emote properly to make her feel that things with us were good, at least until I get all that I needed to get into place to get my wife back.
I ran to the office that I set up at her house for days that I needed to work from home, and started rummaging through my files looking for the file that I had on my recent case. When I got to what I was looking for I held it up in the air and kissed the file. I had just found the perfect way to get Lucas away from Ocean.
“I’ll be back.” I grabbed my keys and shoved the file into my briefcase, leaving Bailey with a million and one questions that I didn’t have the time to answer.
Ocean
Tonight I was going out with Lucas and to say I was excited would definitely be an understatement. I don’t know what it was about that man, but he was opening up parts of me that I hadn’t felt in years, both physically and mentally and for that I was grateful.
I had lost myself in my marriage, and I would be the first to admit it. The contentment was natural, at least that’s what I thought. Lucas was showing me just how false that was. Even though I had my reservations about the two of us being involved despite our situations, something is telling me that I should go for this, it could be just what I need at the moment.
“Damn you trying to get fucked all which a way in that damn dress.” River said walking into my room carrying the last Modelo I had in the fridge. “You killing the game though.” She smiled.
“When the hell did you get here?”
I snatched the beer out of her hand and turned it up. I was nervous for some reason, and I didn’t really have a reason to be. This man had been all up in my goodies so a date shouldn’t be anything to worry about, right?
“I stopped by to see if you had some black wedges to go with this outfit because I didn’t feel like going to buy some,” she said heading to my closet.
“Yeah, there’s the ones that I got to go to mom’s party last year,” I yelled while putting on the finishing touches of my makeup. I went for a natural look tonight and finished it off with a nude lip. Standing up I smoothed out the wrinkles in my black shorts and tugged on the helm, but they didn’t move.
“You know good and damn well them shorts ain’t going nowhere, yo ass eating the hell out of them too.” River laughed strapping up the shoes she had found in the closet.
“Fuck you River.” I giggled along with her. “Wait where you going?”
“Going out with some coworkers, supposed to be meeting them at NV.” She said nonchalantly. I knew what that was about, she knew that more than likely Sony would be there and she wanted to see him, but didn’t want to admit it.
“Oh yeah, so am I.” I smiled. “But we’re going to dinner first,” I announced and looked at my watch, and it was a little after seven, Lucas said he would be here at eight.
“Yeah we going to Ruth Chris and then heading to the club so I guess I’ll see you there.”
I looked at her, and she looked at me, my sister was battling with herself, and I knew it. She wanted a man that she knew was more than likely not good for her. He was shallow, and he wasn’t ready for a commitment, you could tell in the women he chose to surround himself with.
“When were you going to tell me you were sleeping with him?” I asked her remembering the little show they put on when we went to dinner.
“There’s nothing to tell, the night after you gave Lucas your goodies, I ran into him at McDonald’s and the rest is history.”
“You started catching feelings for that man didn’t you?” I searched her eyes, and she tried to shy away, but I stepped into her line of vision. “It’s okay River.”
The agitated look on her face alarmed me, River was always so carefree, and the fact that something such as a man was causing her to be so guarded worried me. I knew she was still working through issues that she felt when Michael left all those years ago and him resurfacing probably brought back some of those thoughts.
“It’s not okay after I left he ran after me, so I thought well maybe he’s not a little dumb fuck with good dick.” I couldn’t help the giggle that left my mouth. “But then this little beanpole bitch walked up looking like she belonged on the cast of the Antz.” She rolled her eyes, and I doubled over in laughter. “It’s not funny Ocean, this bitch gone have the nerve to talk about I wasn’t his type, I wanted to break that hoe in two, but instead I cussed her out and walked off like the bad bitch that I am.” She flipped her long black hair off of her shoulder. I glared at her.
“Well, what did Sony say?”
“Nothing!”
“Nothing? He didn’t put her in her place?”
“Nope, the nigga had the nerve to say that we were just cool. I wanted to slap the stupid look he had on his fucking face, but it’s whatever. The shit was fun while it lasted, nigga been blowing me the fuck up since and I put that ass on the blocked list.”
“Wow that’s fucked up, I hope he don’t bring her tonight I may have to cuss her out.”
“Let that hoe live sis, let her live.”
We talked a little more about her not having feelings for Sony and the ones that I was developing for Lucas. It had been a couple months since that first night, and even though we’d only had sex twice, he made me feel like I was the only woman on the planet that he wanted, and I liked that.
I was slowly letting my guard down, I just hoped the shit didn’t blow up in my face. I was scared to fully go there, but I couldn’t help it. It was like I had no control over my body when he was around like my heart had a mind of its own. My mind was nowhere near in control when the infamous Lucas Sharp was in my presence.
About thirty minutes later,
my doorbell was ringing, and it was Lucas, I opened the door and took in his appearance. He was dressed simply in distressed jeans and a black Polo, but he looked like money. His Creed Cologne invaded my nostrils and took my sense of smell hostage, and I didn’t mind at all.
He had just got a fresh cut, his edges were sharp, and his curly Mohawk was masculine and only added to his sexiness. The way his shirt hugged the muscles in his arms sparked my memory of how I held them as he dug me out. When his tongue brushed across his lips, I could’ve fainted right then and there if it wasn’t for River’s smart mouth.
“Got damn if you could really eye fuck y’all two would be ass naked on the kitchen table, let me get out of here before y’all put on a damn show.” She grabbed her purse. “Have fun, and I’ll see you for lunch tomorrow.”
“Um, I don’t know if she’ll be available for lunch,” Lucas interjected without taking his eyes off me.
“Well damn!” She headed out the door, but Lucas stopped her.
“Yo, my brother been looking for you shorty.”
“Your brother can catch Aids from that sickly thing he running around town with.” She rolled her eyes and continued to her car. I released a small giggle, and Lucas shook his head.
“She ain’t fucking with his ass huh?”
“Not after that shit, his little girlfriend pulled at Chimas.” When he threw his hands up in surrender, I knew that my attitude was evident. I didn’t mean to take what his brother did out on him but River was my baby, and I would do bodily harm over her.
“Ion know nothing about that,” he chuckled, and I joined him. “Let’s get going.”
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see.” He smiled.
I locked the door and headed to the car where he was standing with my door open. I could feel his eyes on me as I slipped into the leather seat of his Porsche Panorama. This car was just as sexy as he was, from the slick black paint to the peanut butter inside. I melted into the seat, he shut the door and ran to the other side, I reached over and opened the door for him.
