“We’ve been able to understand what is happening to you,” Dominax told her.
“Yeah? What’s that?”
“You are going to be undergoing some physical changes,” Dominax said in the same tone the lady who had taught sex-ed at her school years ago had done.
“I’m not pregnant,” She denied out of reflex.
“No. You’re not.”
Her first reaction was a hollowing in her stomach, followed by confusion. “Wait. What?”
She’d been secretly certain that she was pregnant. Hearing Dominax tell her that she wasn’t didn’t really compute right away.
“The doctor has confirmed that you are not yet pregnant.”
“Then what the fuck are you talking about?” She looked from Dominax, to Darma, and to the doctor. None of them had expressions on their faces which told her anything at all. “What the fuck is going on?”
“Have you noticed any pain or discomfort in your shoulders?” The doctor asked the question.
“Uhm. No. I mean, not any more than everywhere else in my body. More my ass really.”
“If you’d like to sit up, I’ll show you something in this mirror,” the doctor said, producing the aforementioned instrument.
“What is happening?”
The sheets left her back bare, and when the doctor put the mirror behind her, and then Dominax held another one in front of her, she saw her back.
“Okay, what the fuck!”
Her shoulders were… bulgy and lumpy. Not hugely, but definitely noticeably.
“What is going on back there?”
“Would you like to break the news, sire?” The doctor’s voice came from behind her head.
“Yeah, would you like to break the news, sire!?” Her tone was much less respectful than the doctor’s and far more irritated.
“You’re growing wings. That is what the doctor believes. The growths on your back are the beginnings of wing buds. We see these quite often in the teenage juveniles of our species.”
“Wait. The teenagers? So babies can't fly?”
“No. The wings aren’t developed to a flying state until around thirteen years of age or so. Evolution did not favor flying babies in a lava world.”
“No. I imagine it wouldn’t.”
She was in shock. That’s why she was having an inane conversation about flying babies. Being told that she was growing wings, and then seeing the beginnings of that process taking place beneath her skin was, well, the more she thought about it, terrifying.
“How is this possible? I’m a human.”
“It means that your genes code for wings, but that in your natural environment those genes are not expressed. When the environment changes, different genes are activated. Humans apparently have vestigial wing DNA. This is quite a breakthrough.”
“So I am going to be able to fly?”
“Maybe. It depends how large they grow and whether you develop the necessary musculature to support wing function. Because your species is not usually winged, what grows might be more vestigial than functional.”
“But there’s a chance.”
“Yes. There’s a chance.”
“Wow,” she breathed. “Awesome.”
The king did not share her opinion. The last thing Dominax needed was a pet who could fly. There was nothing in the literature or human history about having wings, at least, nothing that didn’t have serious questions around it as to its veracity.
However, it did not take a great deal of research to realize that Katie was going to be a pain in the ass as a flying pet.
“Is there something you can do to stop the progress of the growth? It can’t possibly be good for a human to grow wings.”
“I don’t believe intervention would be wise, my king,” the doctor said. “If her body is producing wings, I think we have to accept it as the proper course of nature. The practice of wing docking has long been considered cruel.”
The doctor was not saying anything Dominax did not already know. But that did not mean he wanted to hear it. Once she had wings, she would be even harder to control — and what would she truly be? A human was a pet. A human with wings was practically a Homelander. She would be practically indistinguishable if they were feathered.
Keeping her as a pet would be considered, well, unorthodox in that case. The Homelanders were not in the habit of questioning their king, but the last thing Dominax wanted to do was encourage his citizens to start keeping one another. That never ended well.
And then there were more practical matters to worry about. Like worrying about her being able to fly.
Wings. She was growing fucking wings.
Katie wasn’t sure she truly believed the doctor. Sure, her shoulders had felt a little weird, but the constant nausea had been far more of an issue.
Even more intense than the whole wings situation was the fact that she wasn’t pregnant. Deep down, secretly, she had thought she was. It was the reason she hadn’t fled the planet. It was the reason she had stayed close and caused chaos and basically made it easy for Dominax to find her. Subconsciously, of course. She would never have done any of that consciously, because everything she had just thought to herself was obviously crazy.
But she was disappointed.
The thoughts of being pregnant had been terrifying, but she had felt so much less alone. A baby would mean she wasn’t the only human on the planet. She would have been the only human, plus .5 of a human.
She hadn’t actually lost anything, but she had lost the idea of a thing, and that made her sad, and made her cling to Dominax a little harder than was really wise.
Katie couldn’t even tell him what the problem was. She had been so vocal about not wanting a baby. It made no sense to now be mourning the loss of one that never was. But that was the human experience all over. Being caught in a state of constant contradiction, never really knowing what she wanted really. Or knowing one day, and then not knowing the next. It was all so confusing.
“There is some good news in all of this, my king.”
“Oh yes, what is that?” Dominax was already thinking about how tedious it was going to be to have to bar all the windows of the palace.
“My tests indicate that our species are reproductively compatible. Your initial attempts may not have been successful due to the changes taking place elsewhere in her body, but I believe in the future, conception is possible.”
That was good news. A smile spread over Dominax’s face, hope for the future, along with the promise of new life emerging from the woman he loved.
He looked at his pet, and saw a similar hope on her face.
No matter what she had said, or even yelled, she had been disappointed when the doctor said she wasn’t pregnant. He had learned to decipher her emotions quite well. She was full of them, constantly emitting one feeling after another. When the doctor confirmed her lack of pregnancy, her face had fallen and her eyes had gone dull. Now there was fresh fire in her gaze.
“Don’t get ideas,” she said. “Don’t…”
He swept her up into his arms, holding her tight though she squirmed and made faces of discontent at him, only to bury her face in his neck and growl…
“I might have missed you, but I’ll never admit it. And I’m out of here as soon as I grow these wings in.”
“One thing at a time,” Dominax rumbled back. “Plan your escape later. You are still weak for the moment. And you need to be taken care of while your wings emerge. Let me do that. Let me do something for you.”
“What?”
“Let me love you.”
“I can’t stop you loving me. But why would you love me? How could you love me? I’m nothing to you.”
“I missed you a great deal,” he growled in her ear. “There was not a day you were gone that I did not search for you, and did not fear for you. Please, do not run from me again, my pet.”
His words were sweet, but her strange captivity was not. “I can’t promise that. I can’t promise anything. I
m going to have wings. Who knows how else I will change here.”
“However you change, I will want you, Katie. More than want you. You are mine. You are absolutely, entirely, completely mine.”
17 Love Hurts
Growing wings hurts.
It must have been one of those weird psychological things, because before the doctor brought it up, Katie hadn’t noticed she was growing wings at all. But from the moment she was told, she started to feel an ache which made her fractious and uncomfortable almost all the time.
Being back in Dominax’s possession was… well… She didn’t know that she would ever truly be used to being a pet. He loved her, that much was obvious. But he didn’t know how to love her.
“I missed you,” he said when they had the first proper moment to themselves alone. The doctor had been dismissed, and Darma had been sent to lick his wounds in another part of the castle.
Katie found herself alone in Dominax’s presence for the first time in months. She felt oddly shy.
“I, uh… I guess I missed you too,” she admitted reluctantly. “But I was mad at you. You beat me for basically nothing. And if you’re going to do that, then I don’t want to have your babies. I want to…”
She was going to say she wanted to go back to Earth. But there was now no returning to Earth. When she first escaped the palace, there was some limited possibility she might be able to go home. She could have maybe found a freighter or something going by Mars or whatever. But not now. Even if a magic portal opened up, there was no chance of ever returning to the planet where she had been born and expected to live her entire life.
Wings changed everything. Even more than a baby might have. Wings made her a freak on the planet of her birth. Wings set her apart from every human that had ever been, and probably most of them who would ever be.
For the moment they weren’t really wings in the sense of Dominax’s, or anyone else’s. For the moment they were uncomfortable extensions from her shoulders which hadn’t even begun to feather. In other words, she was like a baby bird, and she felt just as aesthetically unappealing.
“You don’t truly know what you want yet, my pet. You have spent so much time in rebellion, you have never truly experienced all the pleasures of being owned by a king.”
“You mean being fucked by one.”
“Not just that,” he smiled. “This is a palace full of riches and entertainments which you never behaved long enough to enjoy. And now that you have returned to me as a criminal, you must be punished.”
“Not the leather…”
“Not the leather,” he said. “What I intend to do to you will make you beg for the leather, my wayward pet.”
He took her face in his hands and kissed her deeply, possessively. She felt his tongue conquering hers, exploring every part of her mouth as his hands roamed her robe-clad body, slipping beneath the folds of the sheer fabric to touch her with plainly carnal intent.
This was the side of Dominax she had always enjoyed, the side she had ached for on the long city nights. There had never been any problems between them in the bedroom, and Katie needed some respite.
“I told you on the very first day we met that you were mine. I wish you would come to understand what that means. It is not an empty statement. These are not human words which sound pretty but mean nothing. It is a reflection of the deepest reality. It is why you could not leave this planet. You are mine. We are soul-bound. One creature in two bodies.”
There was a poetry and a romance to his words she wished she had heard earlier. Or maybe it was as he said. Maybe he’d said these things, but she hadn’t really understood them. On Earth, almost nothing was literal. But in Dominax’s realm, everything was. Maybe they truly had bonded in a way she did not understand, but could feel throughout every part of her.
“You are mine, and we are going to make new life, pet,” he purred, kissing her neck, grazing his sharp teeth against the soft flesh. “This sweet little hole will stretch for me and my seed will make life burn inside you.”
He was toying with her clit, driving her to the brink of another one of those unavoidable orgasms which threatened to tear through her and destroy her completely.
She wanted him so badly. She wanted his seed even more. What she didn’t want was to admit any of that, to him, or to herself. Fortunately for her conflicted state, it didn’t matter.
Dominax rose up over her, the muscular plane of his body a thing of incredible beauty framed by her raised and spread thighs. She felt the thick, hot head of his cock against her slit, quickly becoming coated with the moisture of her desire.
“This time,” the king told her, “This time there is no escape. You will take my seed, and you will bear my young.”
She felt a tug at her collar, the king’s powerful hand making the collar snug tighter about her neck as he surged forward and she undid herself for him, her body welcoming him warmly, deeply, and completely.
Her cry echoed around the room as she felt her flesh envelop his, becoming the vessel first for his cock, and then for his seed. Dominax was more gentle at first than she had expected him to be. This was more than a breeding. This was a reclaiming.
He was marking her as his own. Every stroke and thrust was designed to let her know that she was still his. There was no running from him. No real escape. The collar around her neck had never left her throughout her escape and ordeal. He pulled at it as he thrust inside her, filling her all the way up, letting her feel the powerful pulsing of his flesh.
“You’re mine,” he said. “All mine. You have been from the very first moment we met, and you will be until the end of time. We are connected in flesh, in feeling, and soon we will be united by the combination of our DNA, two codes combining to make one new entity, the living embodiment of our love.”
He held himself deep inside her, leash tight, cock hard as he made his intention more than clear. She knew something she had never known before, felt something she had never felt: love.
Dominax loved her. She heard it in his voice. She saw it in his eyes. And she felt it inside her. He wasn’t using her when he fucked her. He was claiming her, taking her, making a connection with her unlike any she had felt before. She could not stop staring into those deep, dark eyes as he slid deep inside her, long, surging, loving strokes which made her moan and squirm on his cock.
“I love you,” she whispered to him as he claimed her with a kiss.
It was sweet, but sweetness was not what had drawn them together in the first place, and sweetness would not satisfy either of them.
Instinct was taking over, the rougher, more desperate, intense ravaging which they both needed more than they could ever admit. Her hips rose to meet his and then were gripped and pulled onto his cock. He was fucking her with all the strength he had — or at least, all the strength she could take.
His wings extended as he came inside her, shooting his seed deep into her
pussy, filling her up like a chalice. The sight was incredible, and the feeling was even more intense. It was far more than a simple orgasm. It was a wave of sensation rushing through her, all the way from the inside of her pussy all the way to the very tips of her fingers and the roots of her hair, the tender skin behind her knees, the lobes of her ears, and the curling of her toes.
She screamed her orgasm, barely able to contain the pleasure Dominax was giving her. He left her gasping for breath and desperate for a settling of the nerves which had been stimulated past the point of their capacity.
Dominax laid her back on the bed, his thick cock sliding from her, allowing a fresh rush of hot seed to escape her sex. She could feel him dripping from her ravaged lower lips, so puffy and sore from sexual altercation.
“Life grows inside you, my love. I can feel it.”
She felt it too, a fluttering among the ache, sweet possibility welling up inside her. She felt all the possibility and all the reality of love welling inside her fertile womb.
“Is this my happily ever after?”r />
“Almost.”
18 Flying Fuck
Almost, but not quite. If sex could solve everything, there would never have been any problem with Dominax abducting her.
It wasn’t immediately clear what was left to settle. She was his possession, his pet, and probably soon to be the mother of his eventually winged offspring. Speaking of wings, growing her own was not as easy as it seemed.
Every day, the wings swelled a little more, unfolding from her back in a slow cascade of biological mutation. She tried to ignore them, but they were hard to ignore. Utterly impossible, in fact.
“Eat your dinner, you need your strength for the metamorphosis,” Darma said. He was taking his pet sitting duties overly seriously as far as Katie was concerned.
“Don’t tell Dominax I didn’t eat, and I won’t tell him that you left me alone for an entire hour when your boyfriend flew in for a quickie.”
“I thought you were asleep,” Darma said, pushing his hair back and giving her an irritated glare.
“Well, I wasn’t. I was just resting my eyes. Why doesn’t he ever come in? Why don’t I ever get to see him? Is it some kind of winged homophobia?”
“It’s not that.”
“What is it, then?”
“He’s not allowed in the palace. He’s of a non-royal caste.”
“Oh, so it’s kind of like poor-shaming and racism all rolled into one.”
“If you try to judge us by human standards, you’re going to be repeatedly and violently upset,” Darma replied. “It’s fine. He doesn’t mind sneaking around. Makes it more fun. Now, eat your scozzas. They contain a protein you need to develop strong wings.”
Scozzas were a cross between carrot and broccoli. Sort of orange with florets and a piquant flavor she just couldn’t get used to, no matter how many times she was told to.
“I’m not that hungry.”
The sound of wings heralded the arrival of the king, coming in via the window. She still wasn’t used to how the Homelanders used any available hole in the wall to more or less slide on through, especially the king.
