"Yeah," Zach said afterwards, after Kir had rolled off him and they were cuBrled into one another, Zach's come drying on Kir's skin. "Just like that." He arched in satisfaction, like a cat, and Kir couldn't help but grin.
"Sounds good," he said, then hesitated.
"What?" Zach said, looking over at him. "I can hear you thinking from over here."
"Just -- you're sure? That you want to, like, be with me? Despite..." Despite the magery. Despite mud-things trying to kill them. Despite how fucked up Kir felt he was. Despite everything.
"You're hot, you're a great lay, and you can do fucking magic," Zach said. "How much of an idiot do you think I am?"
Kir was surprised into a snort of laughter. Zach turned over and wrapped his arms around Kir, bringing him in for a kiss.
"You're great," he said, more seriously. "Yes, I want to be with you. Okay?"
"Very okay," Kir said, fervently.
There was a whole bunch of stuff to sort out tomorrow. He and Zach still had to work out how to be with each other. But right now, they were both here, in a comfy bed, and everything was okay, and tomorrow could damn well look after itself.
