Morgan’s journey feels like a long one, particularly because I had to explore the differences between him and Mason. I felt as though bringing them together would be a great way to test that contrast, but I also got a lot of fun out of doing it. The difficulty came with trying to ensure neither of them became more heroic than the other, which was why I had to put Mason into a victimized situation. Everything after that was about vengeance, and Mason fans will know all about that.
But what about Morgan? Personally, I’m happy to leave his story there, stuck in a constant battle with his conscience about letting Rachel down, while she continues to insist that what he does is fine by her (although I enjoyed putting some strain on her—she was getting too bossy for my liking).
What about you though? Were you happy with the crossover event? Did you expect more, or were you satisfied enough to want another series? Because that could happen.
My next few novels are already lined up. I have a number of collaborations coming this year, along with some more books of my own, but a “Young & Black” series could happen. As long as we do something about that name…
For now though, I hope you enjoyed the Morgan Young trilogy and will continue to be a loyal reader. There will always be more stories right around the corner, and hopefully each one will only enhance my abilities as an author.
