  Acknowledgments

My thanks to all at One More Chapter for their hard work in bringing this book to publication. Special thanks to my editor, Hannah Todd, who championed the story from the first idea.

I hadn’t planned to write a book set in Devon, but after spending time there on holiday, I couldn’t resist writing about this beautiful part of the country. Corin’s fossil walk was inspired by a similar walk we took, led by Martin Curtis of www.jurassiccoastguides.co.uk. I’m siding with Mim rather than Lia, and think it’s a fascinating way to spend a morning, even though I was disappointed not to find an ammonite! Any mistakes in the details are mine.

The writing life would be impossible without the support of my writer friends. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to find the Authors on the Edge: Mary Jayne Baker, Sophie Claire, Jacqui Cooper, Helena Fairfax, Melinda Hammond, Marie Laval, Helen Pollard and Angela Wren. I hope our Hebden Bridge meetings can resume soon! Thanks also to the Beta Buddies for providing laughter, understanding and unfailing support. I’m especially grateful to Jennifer Young for taking an early look at Finding Home and telling me exactly what I needed to hear. It seems a fitting coincidence that this book is about how wonderful Geographers are!

Thanks to Rachel Gilbey for doing a brilliant job in arranging blog tours for my books, and to all the book bloggers who take part, or who independently read the books and write such incredible reviews. It makes a huge difference in helping readers find books, and I’m grateful for the support.

After years of writing in secret, for my eyes only, it still seems amazing – and scary! – that other people are reading my stories. Thank you for choosing to read Finding Home. If you’ve enjoyed it, please do consider leaving a review on Amazon or on the website from where you borrowed or bought the book, as it will help other readers find it and will brighten my day! I love to hear from readers who have enjoyed any of my books, so please do get in touch on Twitter at @katehaswords or through my Facebook author page at KateFieldAuthor.

  Thank you for reading…

We hope you enjoyed Finding Home!
