She was losing herself in his lips when he stopped, looking at her with fiery eyes.
“You go first, girl.”
He brought her to the sofa and pulled up her dress, kissing her legs slowly from her ankles up.
His hands caressed her skin, scratching her softly, her body trembling at his touch.
His warm tongue roamed her inner legs all the way up to her inner thighs, his hands tight and he spread open her legs. She was blushing, her center exposed like this. He was filled with intensity.
It was too much for her, she wanted him.
She fell back into the sofa’s cushions, submerged in the heat of the moment.
She had never done anything like this. It was dirty and adventurous and a little slutty.
It was the freaking best.
But it didn’t matter. He’d proven himself, he wasn’t a talker or a jerk, and he’d made her feel desired, and loved again—
No. Not love. She didn’t want that.
This was lust. Only lust.
“You okay?” he asked, his gray eyes piercing her from below.
“Yes, I—”
He pressed his nose against her slit and licked her outer labia, her moan caught in a guitar note from beyond the wall.
Her pretty, sexy panties were soaked now, and the dirty man tasting her skin had his face against them.
His hands softly slid her undies down her legs.
She tried to reach out to take them off but met his face and stopped.
“Leave them on,” he ordered.
She blushed as he went down again on her.
A tough, ripped as hell hunk of a man exploring her center, holding her legs upwards, her panties down on her ankles, tying her, in a way.
His tongue found her crevice and tasted her. She was so wet she was scared it would be too much, but he took it in stride, spreading her sex with his tongue, tasting her juices completely, up and down her slit until he grazed, just barely grazed her nub.
She yelled in pleasure.
His tongue found her center again and she couldn’t help but to pull his face harder against her, his hot mouth taking her closer and closer to the edge.
“Not fair,” she said, “I’m going to—”
Her moan filled the entire room.
A soft, electric pulse gathered strength inside of her, her legs already starting to tremble.
“Oh!” she yelled as he pulled his tongue away from her and then back to her center.
“Raiden...” she yelled, “Raiden...”
His tongue tasted her intensely and the lightning bolt between her legs flashed, exploding in a million volts of electricity.
Her ragged breath stopped and when she looked down, his eyes met her as if he was a predator and she his prey.
He stood up, his thick, huge erection promised much more than she could handle right now.
She was spent. She couldn’t go on after this.
He knew, somehow, and didn’t pressure her. He sat beside her, and she instinctively went in for a kiss.
His lips tasted of herself a bit but she didn’t care. She kissed him again, and again.
His eyes. My God I can get lost in his eyes.
He kissed her soft and slow. It was an intimate kiss, filled with passion, filled with something more than lust...
This was it.
She knew the sex was the cherry on the top. A big, crazy, wildly lustful cherry. But the way Raiden talked to her, wanted her, made her feel like the most beautiful girl in the world just by the way he looked at her was too much.
This wasn’t just lust.
She had to be honest with herself. This was much more than that.
She felt a fire inside and before she realized she was over him, riding him in the sofa, his cock entered her deeply. Pain and pleasure mixing in a crazy, sensual dance.
He grabbed her ass and pulled her harder against him, his shaft sliding in and out as her clit crashed on his pelvis. His eyes were still of a predator’s, this was almost like a battle, his hard face turning her on as she felt his hand spanking her.
A bolt of pain surged through her body.
She loved it.
She held on to the back of his head and pushed harder against his cock, then he spanked her again.
“Fuck!” she said, an orgasm building up inside again.
“Say it, honey, say fuck me.”
It dawned on her. She’d just said “fuck.” Everything was so hard and intense she didn’t even realize.
He spanked her again. Fiery bolts exploded behind her as her orgasm built higher and higher, she would not be able to hold herself much longer. This man, this bear... this animal completely had her.
“Fuck me!” she yelled, “fuck me hard Raiden, fuck me!”
He moaned loud, his rod burning hard inside, pulsing and throbbing every time she sputtered her words.
“I’m fuckin’ gonna cum inside you.”
“Yes!” she said.
His voice turned hoarse.
“Say you want it.”
“I want it; I want you to come inside.”
He hugged her and pushed her down. His cock was deeper than ever in her, her core wrapping him.
He yelled and she felt his hot load filling her.
She screamed in pain and exploded, joining him in his anguish, pulling his hair harder than ever as her orgasm carried her to sky.
They were silent for what felt like an eternity.
He was still inside of her, both of them holding each other, their breath mixed in a rhythm that existed only for them.
For a few minutes nothing seemed to exist. Then she heard the music softly coming from outside the room. Then she saw the walls, and the pile of clothes and the soft, yellow light to her right. The smell of sex covered everything.
She looked at him, his face fixed on her.
He gave her a peck on the lips. Then she stood up, beautifully destroyed.
She looked at the mirror.
Crap, I look like...
Like she just had the best sex of her life.
And Raiden looked the same.
Chapter 15
The green plains behind the Nicholson’s estate greeted the Northern Elk Tribes. They looked majestic in the early morning sun.
Raiden stared in silence as the men and women in white, comfy robes shifted into their Elk and strutted away to begin The Walk.
It was an annual event that helped them connect with nature and remember not only their vulnerabilities, but strengthened and amplified their wisdom.
“A lot of people came this year,” Raiden said.
Elizabeth nodded, “Yes, not all of them could come to the gathering, but no one misses The Walk.”
“As long as they’re here, it’s fine,” Deric said, “the dinner is just a formality. Elks are strong as long as they’re together.”
“Grandpa, I’m a bear,” Dee said.
Deric laughed and knelt beside Dee.
“Yes Dee, you are”
“Know one thing, honey,” Elizabeth said to her granddaughter, “what matters is what’s inside you, not how you look.”
Raiden beamed with pride. His daughter was the first one in generations to share two animals. She had the best of him and the best of her mom.
“You have an Elk spirit, and a Bear form. You are strong, dear,” Elizabeth continued, “and you’re calm and graceful.”
“See dad, I’m calm and graceful.”
Raiden laughed.
“Your spirit is, buddy. You couldn’t be calm in a Buddhist temple even if you wanted to.”
“Dad!”
They all laughed.
“What’s a Buddhist temple?” Dee asked.
Raiden bent and gave her a big hug.
“A place where people are so calm they’re almost asleep.”
“Very funny.”
“Come, Dee,” Elizabeth said.
“See you soon, Ray, you sure you’re not going to be bored?”
r /> “I’ve got much to do here, Deric,” he said.
“He’s seeing that girl, Cassie,” Dee said giggling.
“Deeandra...” Raiden said. Then for a second understood where Dee got that elongating words habit she had.
From him.
She continued giggling, running towards her grandmother, a dozen yards away now.
“Have fun,” Deric said, shaking Raiden’s hand, “we’ll see you next week.”
He turned to the field and ran and on his third step he was no longer a man. He was a great horned Elk, the biggest one he’d seen, shifter or otherwise.
He was a great leader; the Tribes were safe under his lead.
He ran past his wife in a playful jog and she yelled “wait!” and shifted behind him.
Dee turned to her polar bear and ran behind. Her grandparents could easily outrun her but they waited for her to join them.
He knew they’d look after her, but still got nervous seeing her part.
He could be a monster killing machine, but when it came to protecting his daughter, nothing was ever enough.
He chuckled, shaking his head.
The morning breeze was still cold, dew on the leaves of grass moistened his feet. This was going to be a long day, he better got started.
But the main thing in his mind was Cassie. He wanted to see her. Wanted his bear to stop. To calm down. It was destroying him inside, trying to come out and go get his mate.
“Not my mate,” he lied to himself, “shit.”
He could feel his bear mocking him. The great berserker of the White Paws. He’s nothing without his mate.
He pushed the thought aside and went for the tools.
***
Raiden opened the newspaper again and smiled. There it was, on the lower right corner of the front page.
“Earthly fashion with a heavenly show.”
A photo of the designer and people from his team... and Cassie right on the side. She was famous now. He was proud.
Okay she was an up and comer but this was great.
After they made love they went outside and she continued taking pictures backstage. The show was a complete success and the after party a cool, quiet affair.
He met a lot of her friends and people in the industry. They all respected her. Raiden couldn’t hide the smile on his face.
The whole experience was out of this world, but just being around his mate—
He stopped that thought.
Damn it.
Being around her made him feel powerful, he had forgotten that feeling. Being happy just seeing her happy.
She was a true artist.
“Are you gonna buy that?”
He met the clerk’s eyes and nodded.
“So it’s the paint, the saw and all these tools, plus the newspaper, right?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, it’s two hundred fifty-eight dollars, sir. Did you find everything that you—”
His mind wandered.
He’d called her his mate several times now. He even said they made love.
They didn’t just fuck; it was more than that.
The way their minds were on the same wavelength all the time. It was more than just amazing sex.
Yes, it had been dirty and perverted. But in a good way. No one said you couldn’t fuck like a pornstar and at the same time still be making love.
And that’s what they did. What he did. He made love to her.
He put everything in his SUV and drove to the old cabin.
It was going to be a great day.
***
This was a busy day for him but it didn’t matter. He tapped on the cell phone’s screen and called her for the second time, but she didn’t pick up.
Crap. Calling her again would be a bit too creepy.
He’d wait for her to report back to him.
He chuckled. She’s not reporting back to you dumbass, she’ll call back or text you or whatever. This is not work.
He walked out of the cabin. He fixed the entrance door and some of the kitchen cabinets, repainted two walls and now, covered in sweat, he needed a break.
He needed to hear her voice, actually. He had been distracted by that want through all morning and part of the afternoon.
It was after four. He started eating the second panini he was having for lunch.
Big shifters like him needed lots of food.
He sat down on the porch and drank some water as the horizon began to tint the sky in a pink-orange hue.
Enjoying the silent evening on his own brought him peace. The bear inside stopped pushing and for once seemed to revel in life.
He took out his phone and took a picture of the landscape. Everything looked so great.
Back home, Maverick was the one to take selfies and photos and all of that kind of shit.
Raiden wasn’t like that.
He texted and called and sometimes used the GPS feature. But every other app was a waste of time.
The phone vibrated in his hand, signaling a text message.
The bear roared and pushed, the hair on his skin bristled.
He opened the text app and read Cassie’s message.
“Hey big man, you called?”
He smiled and replied: “Just checking up on you. I’m still kinda mind blown.”
“Oh yes, I’m told that happens.”
Then two seconds later, “(NOT).”
He texted back, “don’t worry I’m not judging. Yer fuckin’ incredible.”
“I know I am, silly, but only with you. I’m not... as experienced as you may think. What r u doing?”
“At my place, enjoying the view.”
He sent her the picture he’d taken.
“That’s incredible. You got talent,” she replied.
“Don’t make me laugh. Wanna come watch the sunset?”
“I mean it.”
A few seconds later.
“I want to, but it’s late, no way I’m getting there before sunset.”
“You’re in Canada or something? Of course you can.”
“I need to change, I look awful, but I can see you for dinner or something.”
“Come down now.”
“Raiden, I’m all sweaty.”
“I’m sweaty too, darling. Come over, I’ll see you at my in-laws.”
“Just let me take a shower.”
“No. Let’s meet like this. Besides.”
“Besides what?”
“It’s not like you’re getting lucky or anything, we’ll just enjoy the view.”
“Oh, you’re the one that’s not getting lucky, dear sir.”
He read that and his bear almost came out. His inner instincts flared up.
“Don’t call me sir, it may spell trouble.”
“Trouble how?”
He sent her the eggplant emoji.
She replied with “LOL” and the crying out of laughter emoji.
“You’re silly.”
“So?”
“I’ll meet you at the Nicholson’s. We gotta have a normal date, like, no (eggplant emoji).”
“It’s a deal.”
“Deal.”
He smiled, then a few seconds later, she said.
“Ciao, sir,” then disconnected.
Fuck. He’d make her suffer for this. No sexy date. But it didn’t mean he couldn’t tease, right?
He gathered his tools and started cleaning up the chaos inside the cabin.
This was going to be fun.
Chapter 16
The first thing Cassie noticed as she turned into the Nicholson’s estate driveway was Raiden pushing a huge ATV in the distance. He wore a black hoodie on black sweatpants, pretty casual, just like her.
She drove over next to him and lowered the car door’s window.
“Howdy, stranger,” she said, silly cowboy accent and all, “watcha doin’ there?”
Raiden chuckled, still pushing forward.
“Look over there,” he said, pointing at the
roundabout where his SUV was parked, “I’ve got two quad bikes, I figured we could go exploring, what do you say?”
The pit of her stomach felt hollow, she’d always been a “play-it-safe” kinda girl, and her mom always told her—
“What, your mom told you never to hop on a bike?”
Her eyes widened in surprise.
“Come on darlin’, it’ll be fun.”
“But I’ve never—” she protested.
“I know, you’ve never done this, don’t worry, I’ll teach you. Park over there, next to me. I’m getting some gas to get this thing started first.”
She looked at him, okay, I’ll see what he has in mind and then decide. She rolled her eyes, amused. Men. Always underestimating the danger. Then they get in an accident and wonder what went wrong.
She parked and by the time she got out of her car, Raiden was funneling gas onto the ATV.
On the floor right next to it laid a huge black reinforced nylon bag.
“What are you’re doing?” she asked.
“I’ve got everything ready. Check out what’s in there, you’re gonna like it.”
She opened it and saw chest and leg protectors, he even had shoulder pads and other safety equipment in there.
Her eyes must have said more than she thought because Raiden let out a big laugh.
“It’s so you don’t worry too much. We’ll go slow, these are the safest quad bikes on the market, what do you say?”
“I...”
She was nervous. She always heard about horrible accidents happening to experienced people driving all kinds of bikes.
“It’s fine if you don’t want to go,” Raiden honestly said, “I see you’re scared... we can do something else, no problem.”
He smiled. He didn’t seem remotely disappointed. He respected her feelings.
“You took out all the equipment and I just need to say no and that’s it?”
He nodded.
“I’m not happy if you’re not happy,” he said, “wait up, let me gather all of this and we’ll go on my car.”
“Hell no!” Cassie said putting on a helmet.
“What?”
“I am scared but I can’t let fear rule my life. Let’s do this, tough guy.”
Fifteen minutes later she’d learned how to control the ATV, how to avoid any risk while driving a quad, and how it feels to have a man support you in every decision you make.
It felt good. Really good.
