“Do you want to eat out here at the table?” she asked.

“I think the table would be nice.”

  * * * *

Whilst Jade set the table and put out the plates, Stacey went to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of Evian water, grabbing a couple of glasses from the cupboard.

As they settled down to eat there was an awkward intimacy in the air. They could sense that each of them was acutely stripped to the core, their emotions exposed.

Stacey looked over at Jade who looked at her. There was so much tension between the two of them it was almost tangible. She was wet with the intensity of it and almost suggested abandoning supper and hitting the bedroom to work it off. But that wasn’t the solution. They needed to talk.

“So I’ve told you a few things about myself and my sordid past but I really know nothing about you. All I really know is that you were raised on a farm in Iowa by your grandmother.”

Jade carefully took a sip of water before answering. “It was in Fremont Iowa. Like I was saying to Sandy my mother abandoned me when I was about a year old and I haven’t seen her since. For all I know she’s long dead and gone.”

“Is your grandmother still alive or has she passed on?”

“She’s still alive, but senile. I have her in a nursing home in Manhattan. It’s a really nice place and I think she likes it there though it’s hard to tell. She never really knows where she is anymore.”

“So how did you start your business? You must have been pretty young, yet you’ve done incredibly well.”

“I graduated from Harvard Business School when I was eighteen—”

  “Eighteen!” interrupted Stacey incredulously.

Jade looked decidedly uncomfortable. “Well, I don’t like to brag but I have a genius level IQ, close to Einstein’s actually, so I started a little early. It was there I met my business partner, Holly, and we worked really well together for several years.”

Intimidated by this, Stacey said nothing, waiting for her to elaborate on Holly. She knew instinctively Holly was important. But Jade remained silent, her expression bleak.

Licking her lips, she asked, “Where’s Holly now?”

“She died,” Jade answered and her face crumpled into tears.

Too stunned for a moment to do anything, Stacey just stared in shock, but then she leapt up and hurried to her, taking Jade in her arms.

“Come on, let’s go sit on the couch,” She said, gently pulling Jade toward the sofa.

Jade cried for a long time while Stacey held her and stroked her hair, telling her to cry for as long as she needed to.

Jade sobbed until she lay exhausted, her head on Stacey’s lap. “I’m so sorry. I’m not usually like this.”

“How long has it been since Holly passed away?”

“Ten years. That’s why I don’t get it. She’s been gone for such a long time. Why would I fall apart now?”

“Maybe it’s because it’s the first time you’re allowing yourself to fall apart. Did you go right back to work after she died or did you take any time off?”

“I went right back to work. People talked about me behind my back for doing that. They called me the ice queen, and far worse things than that. I didn’t care what they called me then but now I care. I dunno…it seems like I’m falling apart and I hate it.”

“No, you’re not falling apart. You never processed your grief. You just stuffed your emotions down so you didn’t have to feel them. Now they’re coming out whether you like it or not.”

“How did you get so wise at twenty-three?”

Stacey made a face. “Trust me, I’m not and what I’ve told you is pretty common knowledge so don’t be too impressed. Tell you what, I’ll go bring our supper over here and we can relax and eat while we talk. It’ll be more comfortable here than at the table.”

Stacey got the food then went back for a chilled bottle of white wine, snagging a couple of glasses as she walked by.

She poured a glass for each of them and sat. “Tell me about Holly,” she suggested.

So she did. It seemed that once she started she couldn’t stop.

That night Stacey made love to Jade taking full control. Hearing her moans of ecstasy as she came crying out her name filled her with delight.

Lying beside Jade afterwards, Stacey knew she was feeling vulnerable and helpless, which was surely an uncommon feeling for her. For once she had let her initiate lovemaking and Stacey had made love to her in a slow gentle unrushed manner. She had felt her relaxing and letting go. Knowing it was now time, Stacey had gotten out the long curved glass dildo, the one that afforded so much pleasure, and had fucked her deep and hard until she had orgasmed underneath her. Stacey felt her complete surrender and the acceptance that it was okay to lose control. It had felt so good to pleasure Jade when she genuinely needed the release. And it was also an opportunity to show off her not too shabby skills in the bedroom.

She held her close until Jade’s eyes closed and she drifted away into a deep healing sleep. For a long time she just lay, looking at her. She had never felt such absolute devotion to anybody, and for the first time in her short miserable life she began to feel that there was actually hope for the future.

Waking up the next morning with Stacey’s warm body beside her, Jade looked at the clock on the bedside table. It was seven o’clock. Propping herself up on her elbow she gazed for a few minutes at Stacey’s beautiful face as she slept. Stroking her hair Jade eased out of bed and went into the living room. Retrieving her cell from her coat pocket, she sighed as she saw she had multiple messages from Anthony.

Ignoring them all she hit redial and called him. It was nine in the morning in New York and he should be at the office by now but she was hoping he hadn’t arrived. She wanted to leave a voicemail message and then forget about it for a few days. Nervously biting her thumbnail, she waited hopefully for the voicemail to kick in but on the fourth ring Anthony picked up.

  “Hi Jade.”

“Hey, Anthony. I thought I’d touch base with you and see how things are going.”

“Things are going fine, Jade, but I’m wondering how things are going with you. Did you read my email about the meeting I’m supposed to be in with the American Cancer Society about Holly’s Heart Foundation and their share of the proceeds?”

She was silent. She had forgotten all about the meeting that had been booked months ago to coincide with the launching of the product line in memory of Holly. No doubt Anthony had sent her a reminder email yesterday or maybe several but she had been too busy with Stacey to read any of them.

Feebly she said, “I’m sorry, Anthony, I forgot.”

“This is an important meeting. I tried every way I could think of to get a hold of you. They already know you aren’t going to be here for it and that’s not the problem. The problem is they want a reason why. I told them the truth as close as I could, that with the tenth anniversary of Holly’s death you need some time off. They were very understanding but your behavior is very irresponsible. Holly was your best friend and I’d like to think you’d be in touch because this meeting was so important to YOU!”

Jade was silent. Never in the twelve years that she had known Anthony had he ever spoken to her like this.

He sighed audibly in the phone at her silence. “Jade, I’ve got to go. I’ll tell them you called in to touch base and I’ll say you said you’re sorry you’re not here. But I want you to promise me that no matter what time it is or where you are, when I call you’ll pick up. Promise?”

She felt like a little kid being read the riot act. Humbly she said, “I promise.”

He sounded somewhat mollified by her repentant attitude. “All right then. I’ve got to get into that meeting. Maybe it’s just as well you called, at least it looks like you’re interested.”

“I am sorry, Anthony,” Jade said. She made an effort to sound sincere but inside she was glad she wasn’t sitting in her beautifully appointed but suffocating b
oardroom. Instead was here with Stacey enjoying herself and feeling free. She was also glad Anthony neglected to ask her where she was in his tizzy about the meeting. She hadn’t been about to volunteer the information and she hated to outright lie to him.

Hanging up she put the cell on the counter and began making coffee. As the coffee began to drip, Stacey came out of the bedroom.

“Morning, gorgeous,” She said, walking over to her. Putting her arms around her, she kissed her on the lips. She then pulled open the top part of her robe, flashing her beautiful breasts at Jade with a naughty grin.

“You’d better watch it otherwise you’re going to get into trouble,” She remarked.

“Well getting into trouble sounds like it might be fun.”

Jade reached over and fondled one of her luscious breasts. “You know what I’d really like to do today? Go out and do something fun that we both would enjoy and then go out for a really, really nice dinner at the most expensive restaurant we can find. Eat ourselves fat and drink ourselves silly and then come back here, make love in front of the fireplace. Then after that we can watch a movie together.”

She looked at her with the corners of her lips curving up into a smile. “I like how you think. But I want dinner to be my treat tonight at a really nice expensive restaurant.” By the pleading yearning expression on her face, Jade could tell she genuinely wanted to do this.

Looking at the beautiful face in front of her, she smiled tenderly. “I would love to have you take me out for dinner.”

Happily Stacey said, “Well then this sounds like we have the makings of a wonderful day. When do you want to get started?”

“As soon as we can. Let’s get dressed and head out for some breakfast. Do you want to eat here at the hotel? I am sure the breakfast here would be fabulous?”

“Nah, let’s head outside and find a worthy greasy breakfast place.”

Jade arched her eyebrows looking at her. “A worthy greasy breakfast place? Somehow that doesn’t sound too appetizing. Why would we want to do that when there’s a perfectly good place here in the hotel?”

“Trust me on this one. There is nothing better than finding some out of the way diner that’s serves up some of the best traditional breakfast food you could want. I have a nose for finding a good greasy breakfast place. You’ll like it”.

The idea of heading out into the frigid air with Stacey at her side on a quest for a greasy breakfast diner sounded like fun.

  “Okay, let’s do it!”

They had been amused to note there were his and her bathrooms. Jade took the “his” and Stacey took the “hers”. Stacey headed off to her bathroom while Jade poured herself another cup of coffee.

Listening to the sounds of Stacey in the shower, it felt so homey and right that a swell of contentment began in her heart and radiated out to her entire body. Her icy arrogant heart was beginning to thaw.

Finishing up her cup of coffee and heading toward her bathroom, she stopped. Stacey had left her bathroom door ajar. Unable to resist, she swung the door open a little more to take a peek at her through the glass door of the shower. Seeing her beautiful feminine curves outlined against the steamed-up glass, Jade let herself enjoy the response Stacey prompted in her. Their relationship was not only sexual but emotional as well. It was nice to feel both sides for a change.

  * * * *

In the shower Stacey was thinking about Jade. When she had woken up she was already gone from the bed. Missing her warmth she had been about to get up when she heard her on the phone so she had stayed where she was. The look on Jade’s face when she did venture out told her she hadn’t been pleased with the call.

Kissing her on the lips and flashing her breasts at her, she could tell that Jade had relaxed immediately. It felt good that she could help in this small way. When she had fondled her breast the intense sexual attraction flared up immediately like gasoline on a spark. But something else was weaving its way into the fray; a deeper understanding of Jade as a person.

Wrapping herself in a towel, she stepped out of the shower and looked at her face in the mirror. Even bare of makeup she knew she was beautiful with her thickly lashed almond shaped eyes, pouty lips and heart-shaped face. She didn’t look like a porn star or an escort and sometimes she wondered if this was her attraction. She seemed innocent even though she wasn’t, and with a body that wouldn’t quit and her wide-eyed angelic face, it had been a sure fire hit in the porn industry for a while. But like with everything people were fickle and soon she had become simply another face in the crowd.

Resorting to escorting again, she once more found herself making dates with a variety of unsavory men. In fact she would venture to say that all of them had been unsavory. Some had wanted sexual acts that could literally be categorized as acts of endurance while others had simply wanted the feeling of closeness that came from being inside of a woman.

The majority she had been horribly unattracted to, and the ones she might have been attracted to under different circumstances had such big egos. And because they had put hard cold cash out for her, she was their property to do what they wanted with.

On every date she’d taken drugs and usually her date supplied further drugs to enhance their experience. The only one she hadn’t used drugs with was Jade. From the start, the lovemaking with her was naturally erotic and sensual. No drugs were required to enhance that. A look or a touch from her was all it took.

Taking the towel off her head, she shook her damp hair loose as it cascaded down her back. She tilted her head in the mirror and looked at herself critically. With a genius I.Q and her isolated upbringing, she knew that Jade had never been mainstream either.

She could only hope that as time went by and the glitz of the sex died off, Jade would still love her for who she was. She was used goods in a very pretty package but the packaging wasn’t permanent. Jade needed to love her for exactly who she was and not care.

Applying makeup carefully, she enhanced her natural beauty. Taking a comb she gently worked through her damp tangles and then blew it dry into a mass of waves and ringlets.

Brushing her teeth and applying a neutral lipstick, she knew she looked breathtaking. Looking forward to seeing the awe in Jade’s eyes, she gave her hair one last shake and walked into the living room where Jade was sitting reading a magazine.

Jade looked up as she entered the room and she could see that Jade had taken care with her appearance too. She looked like some sort of exotic feline. Looking at that beautiful face in front of her, Stacey’s body went into high arousal. Her pussy tingled in anticipation as she fantasized having that perfectly made up face between her legs, that tongue working its magic. She had a sudden realization that she had never quite had the nerve to acknowledge before – she liked women more than men and in particular she liked this woman sitting on the couch before her. Jade wasn’t her first female lover; she had experimented with pros like herself before, although she’d never escorted for women. Despite that up until this point she had considered herself firmly heterosexual. But it was looking like she wasn’t.

  “You look beautiful Jade.”

Genuine warmth lit her eyes as she smiled. “Thank you. You are breathtaking.”

She smiled a slow, sultry smile. “Thanks. You really know how to charm a girl.”

Stacey came round the couch and kissed her soundly on the lips. Jade of course took the opportunity to cup her breasts dangling so nicely in front of her. “Do you know how wet you make me,” she murmured, her breath hot on Stacey’s lips.

Her breath caught in her throat and her aching groin began to tell her how much she needed sex with Jade. “How wet do I make you?”

“So wet all I can think about is how wet you make me.”

They giggled then Jade said, “Why don’t you check it out and then you can see for yourself.”

Not needing to be asked again, she helped Jade off with her jeans. Pushing her legs wide apart to give her better access to her cunt she greedily put her f
ace down between her legs. Jade was indeed as juicy as a ripe peach ready to be eaten, so that’s exactly what she did, licking her dry. Lifting her head up and tossing her hair back, she looked at her. “I’m gonna make you come so hard it’s going to hurt.” Putting her head down between those beautiful, long, lithe legs, she got to work.

Crying out her name, her back arched as she shivered to a climax under Stacey’s beautiful licking, luscious, sucking tongue. She continued to lick and suck as Jade clutched the sides of the couch with her hands. Gripping her hips to stop her from pulling away, she increased the pressure on Jade’s clit.

Gripping her wrist, Jade could hardly speak. “It’s too much. You gotta stop. My body is going to explode into a billion pieces I can feel it.” But Stacey knew what she was doing and when Jade came she quivered so long and hard she knew she had accomplished her goal. When her hips came crashing back down on the couch, she was breathing hard like she had just run a marathon. “Please don’t do anymore right now. Talk about sensory overload. I don’t even know if I can walk my legs feel so weak.”

Stacey looked up at her. “You didn’t like it?” she said, knowing full well she did.

“I loved it. But honestly if you bring me to that point again I really do think I’ll have a heart attack.”

Licking her lips, she smiled at her. “Well…as long as you enjoyed it.”

Smiling down at her, Jade said, “You are very accomplished.”

“Thank you. But you do realize that I only want to ply my trade on you now, don’t you?”

Jade’s face became soft as she looked at her. “I’d be extremely jealous if you were doing to anyone else what you do to me. That belongs to me now and no one else.”

Stacey’s heart and soul bound up more completely with Jade with each treasured word. Trying to hide the intensity of her emotions, she said quickly, “Don’t worry about doing me right now. You can catch me on the flip side.”
