I turn it over and silently read. I blink my eyes against the sting of tears, the loss I’ve managed to keep locked away for months overwhelming me. It wasn’t a hello she came here for; it was a final goodbye in the form of a Dove chocolate wrapper. I smile sadly. They always do have the best sayings. Straightening, I rub my eyes and roll my shoulders. I take a deep breath, and another, until I am in control once again. I crumple the wrapper in my hand and toss it in a nearby garbage can, but the words linger in my head and heart.
‘You are exactly where you are supposed to be.’
