“Dax, it is beautiful. Thank you.” She leans forward and kisses me. I take over the kiss and lean her back into the bed. Nudging her knees apart, I settle into the cradle her legs provide for me. Slowly I penetrate her sex. Not breaking the kiss. Fisting her hair, she moans out as I pick up the pace. Pulling back, I know that this is different. This is so much more. We both have declared that we love each other. But this feels like our souls are intertwining.
Her brown eyes have tears in them. Not sad or pain-filled tears. No, tears of joy. She feels it too. “God, baby, you consume me,” I tell her as I slow the pace down. We aren’t fucking right now. No, this needs to be slower. I want to show her just how much I love her. How much I need her to be complete.
“You complete me,” is all she says. With her feelings shining through her eyes. I keep the slow pace going for a while. Her back arched into me as I slowly speed up. “Come, baby, come for me,” I whisper into her ear. I can feel the walls of her center flutter and grip me as she comes with her moans getting louder and longer. She pulls me with her. Emptying into her, we stay connected at the hip with each other as our breathing slows down. I have my head in the crook of her neck as she strokes my hair away from my face. Rolling over, I take her with me, reversing our positions. Her laying on top of me with her left leg bent at the knee. She molds to my body like she was made for me. Some ways I think that she really was made for me. Who else on this planet could handle all of me? Who else could I possibly have wanted to give my love to? I didn’t even know that I could love like this. That was all her doing.
“What are you thinking?” I can feel her fingers trace the tattoo on my arm. So soft, she outlines, putting me almost into a trans.
“Just that you were made for me.”
“Can you explain that?”
Giving off a small laugh, “Yeah, I thought that you are the only person who could pull love out of me. I mean, Chloe, when I met you, I didn’t even know that I could love. But you forced your way in.”
“Uh-huh, sorry, Dax, but I didn’t force my way in. If I remember right, you pushed me away for a long time.” I stopped stroking her back, looking down at her. She has a small smile on her face. Content. Happy. With me.
“I did. I was worried that I would hurt you. But instead, I love you. And I would never let anything hurt you.”
“I know you wouldn’t. I just hope that you know I will do my best to keep you safe too. It would break me if something bad happened to you again.” Putting both of my arms around her, I held her close to me, with her head resting over my heart.
“I love you, Chloe Bowman, and soon I plan on making you Chloe Mitchell’s.”
“Oh, is that right?” She teases as she moves her hands lower. I growl out as I take her lips in a firm but demanding kiss. I don’t plan on ever letting her go.
Epilogue
Four months later
Chloe
As I leave the salon, I take notice of all the Christmas lights around me. I have always loved Christmas; it is a magical time. Most people are happy and joyful, and don’t forget charitable during this time of year. The air is chili and full of promise of hot chocolate and warm snuggles by the fire.
Breathing in the crisp air, I sigh. Even though my vagina is on fire, I sigh, knowing that today is December 24, and soon, I get to give Dax his present. I didn’t know what to get him, so I went on a limb and did a couple of custom pieces for him. On a new landscape that I haven’t done before.
As I am walking down the sidewalk towards where I parked during the rush hour of Redding. I notice a man and his dog slumped by a door. I hate seeing that people are glaring at him like it’s his fault and that he shouldn’t be taking up residence in their city. Well, there went my hope that humanity was better for the season. When I checked my weather app before my appointment, it called for snow tonight. Not a lot, maybe half an inch. But that is just too cold for the duo to be out here in it.
Making a quick decision, I squat down in front of them. The pup is just too cute. The dog is a mixed breed, and is cold, shivering as the dog snuggles up to his master. Holding out my hand, I purr. “Hey there, little guy.” The man stares at me like I grew a second head. The pup licks my hand. I force my eyes from the dog to the man. He is an older man with a bushy beard, but he has kind blue eyes. “Hi, what is your name?” I try. Although he has kind eyes, he is eying me with skepticism. I don’t blame him, having all these people pass by and not so much as a hi. Yeah, I would be a little weary too.
“Little lady, you might catch a cold out here. You need to get on home now.” He tells me with a small smile. It breaks my heart that he is worried about me. When he is sitting on the sidewalk, obviously cold and hungry. I smile at him as I shake my head. Pulling my phone out, I dial Dax.
“Hey, babe.” He answers, and that deep voice still gives me goose bumps.
“Hey, I need a favor. Can you meet over here at the salon?” There is a pause for a second.
“What are you doing?” I look up to see Dax standing in front of me. Putting my phone back in my bag.
“Well, I was thinking of getting this gentleman and his dog a roof over their head for Christmas.” I smile up at him.
“Ma’am, you don’t have to do that.” The man starts, but Dax cuts him off.
“Sir, if my woman wants to help you out. Please let her. I like to keep my Ol’ Lady happy.” The man’s smile grows as he looks from me to Dax.
“Sir, ma’am, I would be grateful for your help.” He makes a move to stand, and Dax gives him a hand. Dax goes even further by picking up his duffle bag and a few belongings that he had with him. They follow me to my car. The pup gets in the back as Dax puts the man’s belongings in the trunk. Getting him settled into the car, I start it to get the heat blowing.
“Let's get them to the shelter first. Get Charlie’s dog washed and fed.” I tell Dax of my idea.
“Good idea. I am sure that Snake won’t mind having company over the holidays.” My heart warms as I realize what he is suggesting.
“Oh, babe. That is an amazing idea.” I get on my toes and give him a kiss. “You’re my hero today,” I tell him. He grins as he opens my door.
“Get in, and I will follow you.” Shutting the door for me.
“Name is Charlie.” The man tells me. “Your man back there is good, scary. But good, none the less.”
“Well, Charlie, it is good to meet you. I’m Chloe, and my man is Jag. What is your pup's name?”
“Harry, he found me last year, we’ve been together ever since then. He is a good traveling companion.” I smile as he tells me more of where he is from, and where he and Harry have been sleeping for the last week or so.
We pull into the shelter’s parking lot. “I figured we could give Harry a good bath and a good meal before we head to the clubhouse.” Charlie nods his head with a beaming smile.
“That isn’t necessary. I am sure you and Jag would like to get home.”
“Oh, it is no problem. I promise you that. Besides today is Christmas Eve. Harry needs to be looking his best for Christmas Eve dinner.”
“Can’t argue with you there. I remember not too long ago, my family and I would have the best Christmas Eve dinner with family.” At that moment, I wonder if his family knows where he is. I wish there were more that I could do for Charlie and Harry.
Two hours later, we are back in the car, headed to the Clubhouse. Harry not only got a good bath, but a new collar, a good meal, and I gave Charlie a bag of dog food to keep with him. Dax is in front of us this time. His broad shoulders and that cut on his back. Damn, I can’t wait to get him alone and naked on top of me later tonight.
The clubhouse is pack to the gills. Everyone is here today. I can see the big Christmas tree from the window of the clubhouse. The day after Thanksgiving, we all pitched in to decorate the tree. Blaze and Snake argue over the placement of the ornaments on the tree. Snake wanted all of the red ones on one side of the tree. I thought it was going to come
to blows. But the smile and twinkle of Snake’s eyes told me he was just messing with the VP.
“Are you sure this is okay?” Charlie broke through my memories.
“Of course, it is,” I tell him. I notice Brick walking towards us. Charlie swallows and looks back at me with a question in his eyes. Getting out of the car, Brick shakes Charlie’s hand and leads him into the clubhouse. I look over at Dax.
“Don’t worry, babe, Brick got the boys to round up some clothes for Charlie. He is going to get a room for the holidays, a hot shower, and hot meals.”
“Oh, wow. Baby, you went above and beyond.”
“Nah, just sending it out where we can.” I nod my head. We had a toy drive starting in November for the city. So many kids would be getting toys tomorrow morning that they wouldn’t otherwise get. Something I have learned over the last six months. This MC helps more people that the city knows. Always doing runs for charity, toy drives, school supplies fundraisers. They are truly amazing men. Leather wearing, gun-toting, bikers with huge hearts. And the best part is that they are my family.
Growing up, I didn’t have a family. I had my dad, me, and Savannah. That was what our Christmas consisted of. It wasn’t full of laughter or joking. No, that would have been too good for Savannah, too peasant-like. Personally, I loved the peasant life, as she called it. I was like my father. I didn’t like having a trail of money following me everywhere. I wanted to help others. And now, with Dax at my side with my newfound family, I can help others in the community.
“I like that, Dax. Thank you.”
“Why you thanking me? You’re the one that suggested we help him. You, my dear, are perfect. And you have an amazing heart.” I could feel my cheeks burn. Luckily Blaze made his entrance.
“Good looking out, Chloe,” Blaze yelled out as he slapped Dax on the back.
“He just needed a hand. Plus, it’s Christmas.” Blaze had a funny look on his face. “What?”
“Damn, Jag, you got yourself a good woman, a real good woman. You better hang on to her.” Blaze patted me on the head as he went back into the clubhouse. Dax smiled down at me, and he shook his head.
“Come on, let's go inside.” He takes my hand as we make our way inside. People are everywhere. I spot the girls at our usual round table. Korey is glowing; Angie is beaming down at her bundle of joy. Tank right behind her watching their baby boy’s every move. My thoughts wander into dangerous territory. I know Dax said he wanted to have kids, but how soon? Watching the couple with the baby makes my arms itch to have one of my own. Molly and Kelsey are making out under some well-placed mistletoe by the bar. Of course, the boys near them are leering at them. Amy and Stink are sitting with their little boy, Seth, who is in awe of the Christmas tree. His little toddler hands flexing while he eyes the shiny ornaments. I give it twenty minutes before he gets his hands on one. Brick has all three of his kids sitting on the floor, coloring, and painting. At first glance, and outsider would believe that these men and women were nothing more than lowlife punks dressed in leather, riding loud bikes through town. But getting to the center, they are family men, they crave this. Normalcy of having a holiday to share with those that they love most.
“Hey, Chloe, you want to hold your nephew, Deke?”
“Oh, boy would I ever. Please, I have baby fever right now.” Tank whistles out.
“Jag, your Ol’ lady has been bitten by the baby bug. You better get to work.” Shit, I couldn’t believe I said that out loud. Oh well, it's out there. I take baby Deke from Angie and marvel at the little red-headed bundle. I can’t help but chuckle at his little onesie. My dad has bigger balls than yours.
“Tank, babe, really. You don’t have to tattle every chance you get.” Angie rolls her eyes at her husband.
“Yeah, I know, babe. But you know it’s fun to stir the shit up.”
“Language.” Korey hisses at him.
“Oh please, he isn’t even talking yet.” Tank defends himself.
“They are still like sponges right now. Just look at Deke, all looking around, taking everything in. You don’t want your son swearing like a sailor when he gets to school, do you?” Molly scolds her brother.
The banter continues at the table. I sway from side to side and take in little Deke’s scent. There is something about the smell of baby, it is relaxing and makes my ovaries yearn to produce one. I have wanted this, a baby for a while. Like every little girl growing up with baby dolls, I wanted to have one. I remember telling my father when I was eight that I wanted to be a mom when I grew up. I just wanted to have someone to take care of. To love. Of course, as I got older, I realized that it took more than going to the hospital and picking out a baby. My goals changed, life got in the way. But right now, I am ready to have little tiny being yelling at me to feed and change their diapers. I look back down at Deke and wonder what our baby would look like. He/she would have brown eyes. But dark drown or that whiskey brown of Dax’s. “Ready for a baby?” Jag breaks through my thoughts.
“Yeah, I’m not getting any younger.” I keep looking at the precious future generation of Angels and Sinners MC. When he grows up, he will most likely ride a bike and take his place among the ranks of the guys. And for some odd reason, that doesn’t bother me. Knowing that if we had a little boy, he would grow up to be in the MC. His father would teach him to stay safe.
Dax reaches over and runs a big finger down little Deke’s cheek. “Tank, at least you got something right this time.”
“Yeah, I make pretty babies don’t I?” Tank preens.
“Really, really. And you don’t think that I had nothing to do with that?” Angie points over to Deke in my arms.
“Babe, when we have a girl, and we will be having like six more kids. You get to take all the credit. But he is clearly my spawn. He looks just like me.” Tank grins down at his baby boy.
“God help all of the ladies when he is growing up.” Molly throws in her jab. The whole table erupts into giggles and snickers. Deke jerks when he hears the loud noise but doesn’t cry out. Making cooing noises to him, he wraps his little fist around my finger and gives off a smile.
Brick claps his hands to get everyone’s attention. “Alright, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. It is time to have a feast that the Ol’ Ladies prepared for us.” The men cheer around the room. Tank takes baby Deke from me.
“I’ll get you a plate.” I smile up at Dax. He murmurs his thanks over my lips. We prepared a little of everything. Two hams and two turkeys, tons of mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, and so many different sweets, it was unreal. I would have questioned the amount of food that was prepared. But Thanksgiving showed me that there would be no food leftover after the party.
After getting Dax a plate, I find Charlie and bring him one as well. “Bless you, Chloe. You are truly an Angel.” Charlie tells me as he has my hands in his.
“It is nothing really. Charlie. Enjoy your meal.” I tell him as I go back to make my plate.
After the food was eaten, I could hear the older kids begging Brick to open their gifts. The adults gathered around the tree to watch the kids open the gifts that the club got for them. Tomorrow morning is when Santa’s gifts get to be opened. The children were excited to rip the paper but were mindful of throwing the wrapping paper in the large trash bag after each gift was opened. Dax leans over and whispers in my ear. “We could start working on our family tonight.” Jerking my head around to see him. I am pretty sure my face was full of shock that turned into glee.
“You serious?” Whisper screaming back at him.
Chuckling “Yes, babe. Completely serious.” I didn’t think of our surroundings as I threw myself into his lap and kissed him like the world depended on it.
“Aunt Chloe?” that little voice reminded me of where we were and who was around us.
Turning around, I saw Sadie standing there, with a smile on her face. “Merry Christmas, Sadie.”
“Merry Christmas to you too. Here I made t
his for you.” Sadie thrust a thin package into my hands. I smiled back at her.
“Thank you, Sadie.” I put it aside, not wanting to take away from the kid's excitement.
Her smile falls, “Did you not want to open it?”
“Oh, I do. But you still lots of gifts to open. I didn’t want to take away from your gifts.”
“Well, I don’t mind.” She smiled big as I picked the gift back up and started to open it. What was in front of me was a card and a painting. The painting was of a broken heart sewed together with red thread. I ran my hands over the acrylic painting in awe of her work.
“Sadie, this is amazing. Truly is amazing.” Handing the painting over to Dax to inspect, I open the card, and tears spring into my eyes instantly. The card was simple, but what was inside. Those words were beautiful.
Aunt Chloe,
Thank you for sewing my Uncle Jag’s heart back up.
He wasn’t ever happy. But you changed that. He is happy now.
You have healed my uncle, and for that, I love you.
Love Always,
Sadie
“Oh, Sadie. Honey. Thank you.” Pulling her in for a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “You are an amazing young lady. I am glad that I get to see you grow into an amazing woman.”
“Thank you, Aunt Chloe. I am getting better at babysitting. So when you have that baby, I can help.” She beamed up at me, as my mouth hung ajar at her words. Could it be? I mean, I took my pills daily at the same time. Was there a time that I missed one?
“Sadie bug, this is amazing work. Chloe is right; you are an amazing young lady.” She kissed Dax on is cheek and bounced back to the excitement in front of the tree.
We decided to stay for a little while longer. After the kids got their presents opened and pictures taken. I was pretty sure I would see them all on social media by New Year’s.
Dragging into the house, it was nearly midnight, and I was bushed. From the cooking to helping Charlie out, and helping to clean up in the kitchen. I was ready for bed. Dax had other ideas. Pulling me into him in front of the tree. “You know technically it is Christmas day right now.”
