“Don’t think we’re done,” he whispered as he leaned toward her ear. “If you think you’re leaving this library without feeling me inside you, think again.”

“And here I thought you were boring and straitlaced.”

He laughed, letting go of her wrists and running his hands up her body. “Don’t librarians know to never judge a book by its cover?”

Leah laughed with him, shaking her head at his mix of schoolboy charm and raw masculinity. Before she could tease him, he ran his hand up her shoulder to the strap of her dress, pulling it down and exposing her breast. He bent, taking her nipple in his mouth, circling it with his tongue. She cried out in pleasure and pain, her body still sensitive and raw. His hands ran down her back, finding her hips and pulling her to him. His cock, already hard and ready, pressed into her stomach and made her clench. She slid her leg up his body, teased him with her foot, and he slid his hands under the hem of her dress, hitching it over her hips. Then his hands were on her naked skin, running over her milky thighs and stomach. The embers in her body flared back to life, the fire lighting in her belly, the flames licking her core.

A whimper escaped her lips and Bruce smiled as he kissed her, their tongues twisting and turning on each other. His hands left her body and she heard foil ripping, the sweet sound making her smile again through their kiss.

“You came prepared, I hear. So, did you come to the library to get lucky, or just a lucky guess?” she teased as she kissed his neck.

“I never want to miss an opportunity because I’m not prepared.” He grasped the backs of her legs and picked her up. She wrapped them around his waist and he pushed her into the stacks against the wall, her back pressed into the book spines. She ran her hands through his hair as they kissed and he slipped her dress off her other shoulder. He trailed kisses down her cheek, her neck, her shoulder, and pulled her nipple into his mouth, sucking hard and nipping. She arched into him, thoughts of teasing abandoned and was consumed by a desire to feel him inside her.

Her hands ran over his back, up under his shirt and to his bare skin. She dug her nails into his firm flesh, imploring him to enter her. But he resisted, licking and fondling her breasts until she cried out in frustration, “Bruce, please I need you.”

“You need me to do what, exactly?” he asked, still kissing, still teasing.

  “Fuck me, dammit.”

He opened his eyes and met her gaze, and she saw the desire and lust and admiration in their ocean depths. In one swift thrust he was inside her, buried to the hilt, and she gasped. He pulled out, the head of his cock resting just inside her entrance and he slammed into her again, knocking her breathless.

“Harder, faster,” she commanded, and he obliged, his cock ramming into her more forcefully with each thrust. As he picked up speed, she closed her eyes and threw her head back as she reached up to grab the shelf behind her head, her fingers gripping the metal as the books dug into her back. Her breasts bounced up and down as he thrust and she gripped him tighter and tighter with her legs, driving him on. The fire raged inside her, fueled by his power. Every thrust, every time his cock slid back inside, the flames burned brighter, higher, threatening to consume her.

Her body clenched around him, her muscles tightening around his cock as he released. An orgasm exploded inside her and they came together in a crescendo of lightning and flames. The last shudder rocked through Bruce’s body and he leaned forward, resting his head on the book spines, pinning Leah between him and the books. She wrapped herself around him, her body charred, a pile of ashes.

Their breathing slowed and Leah twitched, the awkward position finally becoming noticeable. On cue, Bruce slid out of her and set her on the library cart, slipping the condom off, tying it shut and shoving it in his pocket. He buttoned his pants and leaned toward her, caressing her cheek with his fingertips.

Taking one hand at a time, he slipped her dress over her hands and ran it up her arms and over her shoulders, caressing and touching her skin the whole way. Leah sighed as Bruce stepped away to find her thong then slid it over her feet and up her legs. Leah scrambled off the cart on shaky legs and pulled it up, wincing as the thong touched her sex. She was sore, but deliciously so, her pain a delectable reminder. She slid back onto the library cart and ran her fingers through her hair, satisfied and blown away at the same time.

  Chapter Three

They stared at each other, shock and satisfaction registering on their faces. Extraordinary. Definitely extraordinary. Leah felt a wave of calmness, the smoke of a fire that burned itself out pluming in wisps around her. The ashes in her belly cooled and she felt sated and content for the first time in ages.

Her eyes raked over Bruce’s body and she shook her head. Bruce looked so normal and average now that his hands weren’t sweeping over her skin. If she hadn’t felt the aftereffects of sex pulsing through her, she’d be convinced she imagined the whole thing. I’m never going to judge a book by its cover again.

“So about that property record… If you give me five minutes, I’ll help you find it.”

He shook his head and just stared at her. “Um…yeah, of course. Take all the time you need. I’ll be here waiting.”

  “Great, I’ll be right back.”

Leah pulled on her boots, grabbed her phone from the computer station and hopped on the elevator. After finding her purse upstairs, she made her way to the bathroom, taking the long way around. Unfortunately, the library was deserted, and she couldn’t give anyone that yes-I-look-thoroughly-ravished-because-I-was-and-aren’t-you-jealous exchange of looks.

Once inside, she cleaned herself up, ran her hands through her hair, and assessed herself in the mirror. Her cheeks glowed rosy-pink and her lips were plumped, swollen and almost fuchsia. Her eyes still smoked, covered in a dark gray shadow and framed by midnight lashes. She’d thought she’d look a disheveled mess, but apart from a few mascara smudges, she looked sated, content and pretty damn good.

Score one for the library. Who knew it would teach me how to have hot sex with a stranger without paying a cover charge, getting drunk, or having that awkward wake-up in someone else’s bed the next day. Extraordinary night, indeed. Maybe I have a whole lot more to learn in graduate school than just advanced math theory.

Leah laughed at herself in the mirror as she turned and walked out the bathroom door and back to the property record room. As the elevator door opened, she saw him, her all-American library fantasy, leaning on the edge of the stacks, waiting for her.

She beamed at him, her smile a mega-watt halogen bulb lighting up the whole basement. “Hi. So…let’s go get that record, shall we?”

She slid past him and walked down the aisle, crouching to scan the bottom shelf. Finding the plat book, she pulled it out, stood and carried it over to the nearest table. She flipped the pages until she found the correct plat number and handed it to Bruce.

“Here it is. Is this all you need? Can I get you anything else?”

Bruce looked at her, eyes glazed and dazed at the turn of events. “Can I see you again?”

Leah laughed and rose onto her toes to kiss Bruce on the lips. His stubble pricked her skin and a spark leapt across their lips.

“I’m requesting to work every weekend from now on. Any chance you’ll need a property record next Friday around midnight?”

Bruce smiled, and reached out to caress her cheek. “Next Friday? Hmm… You know, I think I will need to locate a record. And a librarian has to help me right? I’d hate to be all alone, wandering through the library basement without someone to…assist me.”

“Well, lucky you. I’m a librarian.”

  “See you then?”

“Definitely.” She smiled as the ashes in her belly stirred and the embers began to glow.
