Guardian Knight Page 36

by Aarti V Raman

The Knights of Justice are two of my earliest published works, with Guardian Knight being the very first book I ever sold to a publisher that came out in 2013. It is special to me in so many ways I can’t catalog them all.

One reason why it’s so special is because my first-published book has a whole new country, San Magellan, with dirty politics and interesting topography that I created from scratch. This brought me unparalleled joy.

And, I will tell you this. When I wrote the first draft of this back in 2012, and what you see now as this finished product is more or less exactly the same. Especially, my forever hero Brandon Michael Rice – mercenary extraordinaire.

The plot is the same, the words (extremely condensed) are the same, the dastardly villain is very much the same.

What has changed are some of the perspectives, especially on Akira’s part, which contain empathy and compassion, because I am now old and grown enough to practice both.

I thank you for sticking through to the end of this amazing, exhausting, exhilarating, emotionally satisfying thrill ride! Please do rate and review it on Amazon and Goodreads, if you can.

As a bonus, you can flip ahead to a sneak peek of Warrior Knight, the next Knights of Justice book.

If you want more Guardian Knight and KoJ content, please do subscribe to The Writer Gal Letter – where I’ll be sharing an exclusive deleted scene from Guardian Knight in the next few weeks. As well as updates on all my upcoming releases.

Once again, thank you, for trusting me with your time, patience and money. I hope I’ve earned the privilege of all three.

  Till next time,

  Xx

  Acknowledgments

I would like to thank my grandparents for all their blessings and love.

The rest of my family who let me be the kooky, crazy writer, even though they didn’t really get it at all…even now.

And my friends, near, dear, old and new, none of whom ever told me I sucked at this. But especially to Aloka Krishnan, Dheera Majumder, Jayasree Srinivasan, Namrata Sagar, Prachi Rege, Sonal Mehta, and Sukriti Dave. These forever friends have been the first buyers of my stories since I was a kid. Thank you for letting me practice on you, sweeties!

And to my father. I love you, Daddy.
