Dancing to the End of Love Page 32

by White, Adrian

Maria catches me looking at her and she smiles. It’s time; we always have a dance together at the end of her shift, before I walk her home. I slip off my bar stool and hold her in my arms. We move slowly to the music. We have our favourites but there aren’t enough songs in the world for this to last as long as we’d like it to.

I’ll talk to her about the baby tonight, once we get back to the room.
