Moments later, chaos ensued. Siren after siren after more sirens sped down our little road and surrounded the house. Cars bearing the names of various law enforcement agencies lined the path almost to Nothing Fancy. Blake was caught up in the investigation.
I realized this was the first time in weeks I didn’t go numb at the sound of sirens. I also for the first time since I’d met Blake felt alone. Not because he wasn’t here, but would I see him again? I’d shut Sampson in the laundry room for his protection. I didn’t need him getting run over or licking every crime scene tech that entered my house. A thorough space cleaning was on my list for tomorrow.
All of a sudden, I felt my right foot slide across the landscape and enter Vito’s front porch. My left foot joined it. Trixie sat in a recliner by the window petting Sampson.
“Faith, I hoped the Lighter would bring you to me. I wanted to be there for you, but this tumor. You know. I can’t do what I could.”
“I’m here now.” I knelt beside her. “You can have the surgery.”
“That’s a discussion for another day. Right now, you need to cry. You need to let all the icky stuff out. You’ve training to do.”
I wanted to ask her so many questions. But all I could do was cry.
CHAPTER 43
Hours later, I came awake on Dad’s couch to the smell of coffee and the sound of voices. Sampson licked my face. Vito, Trixie, and Arie were in the kitchen. My family was together again. Not all my family. Tiffany wasn’t here. And a drip of sadness ran in my veins. Blake’s voice wasn’t one of those in the kitchen. I sat up.
“What’s going on in there?”
“Hey, Sleepy Head,” Arie said walking from the kitchen. Trixie wouldn’t let us wake you. We stopped Charles’s flight. He sung like a rockstar. He shot Wallbanger and was aiming for Lizzie. Bonnie killed Mr. Raymont. Charles believed he could break the will and sell Mr. Raymont’s assets. Evie is with her mother and Jane.”
“That’s good news. And the West Coast Murders are solved.”
Arie shook his head.
“I’m afraid not. Bonnie swears she had nothing to do with those. They hatched the plan to kill Raymont and Wallbanger as a copycat. But you no longer work for the firm. So, we’ll see what happens next.”
Vito sat beside me.
“You are safe here in Abracadabra. We’ve got your back.”
Trixie handed me a hand-sized black velvet box with a gold bow around it.
“I’ve missed some birthdays. Open it.”
Inside I found a GPS. “But…”
“I guarantee this one will work.”

Dear Reader,
Thank You. I do so hope you enjoyed reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
For those of you who’ve read my Moon Lake Series, I’m sure you recognized Melba’s Munchies from the Village of Moon Lake. The Flower Farm Magical Mystery Series will mingle with the characters from Moon Lake. I so love it when I return to Moon Lake.
In this series, I had the opportunity to write about all the things I love. As a child, my grandmother’s backyard was one big flower bed with a postage stamp of grass in the middle and a huge tree that grew horizontally. When my brother and I were small children, every so often, my father would take our pony saddles with us when we visited Grandma’s and cinch them to the tree. We had real ponies at home, but somehow the tree was fun too.
I’ll never forget the look on my Grandma’s face when I ‘weeded’ her poppy patch and destroyed most of her poppies. She, unlike me, had magical poppy hands. Her poppies were always gorgeous. Mine just die.
Many years later, thanks to my wonderful friend, Jackie, I had the opportunity to work for a large Garden Center in Elkhart, Indiana. I learned so much about flowers, trees, bushes, and ornamental grasses. I will forever be thankful for that opportunity and the knowledge I gained.
I’ve always been fascinated by Feng Shui, magic, the paranormal, and supernatural. Those ‘this is going to sound crazy but’ moments. I hope that love came through in this book.
