Endless Nights: Vegas Nights, Book 3 Page 4

by Karen Erickson

“Are you calling me exceptional?” He raised a brow.

Oh, he was devastatingly handsome, especially at this moment, the morning light spilling into the room from the giant window. He must’ve opened the curtains earlier, not that she’d been aware, considering she’d been sleeping like the dead only moments before.

But yes, studying him now, his head directly above the spot between her legs that craved him the most, that cocky smile still tilting the corners of his lips, his cheeks and jaw covered in stubble, his lids lowered, giving him this sexy, sleepy look that made her want to kiss him.

“You were exceptional,” she agreed. “But the clock is ticking.”

Laughing, he dipped his head, nuzzling her pussy, making her sigh. He had this approach…that was different from any other guy she’d ever been with. Luke was slow, but not in a bad way. No, more like in a careful, methodical way that showed he planned his every move, used every second to gain maximum satisfaction.

  For her. And for him.

  But mostly for her.

“You taste good in the morning,” he murmured against her slick flesh, kissing her there. She watched, unable to tear her gaze away from him, fascinated with the way his dark head looked bent between her thighs, her legs draped loosely over his wide shoulders.

“Thanks?” she said, sounding stupid, not really caring, not anymore. She was pretty sure he thought she was funny. She knew she found him funny. He made her laugh. He made her smile. She liked listening to him talk. His voice was…fascinating.

So were his lips and tongue, which he was putting to good use.

  Right now.

He licked her, that wide tongue leaving nothing untouched as he searched her folds, circled her clit, painting her with his tongue again and again, up and down. Swirling, teasing, murmuring, humming into her flesh, driving her wild. She closed her eyes, reaching out blindly to grab onto something until her fingers found and curled into his hair. She held him to her, lifting her hips, shamelessly riding his face, his encouragement urging her on.

“That’s it, baby, reach it. Find it,” he whispered just before he sucked her clit between his lips and pulled it into his mouth.

She threw her head into the pillow, thrashing back and forth, spreading her tangled hair everywhere. It fell into her eyes and she shoved at it impatiently, not wanting to miss a thing.

His eyes were on her as he sank a finger deep into her body, then another. He thrust in and out, licking her, watching her, not letting her look away from his intense stare, and that’s all it took.

Her legs stiffened, she bowed her hips, and he lifted away no more than an inch, his long tongue lapping at her, looking almost obscene as he flicked it over her clit.

“Luke.” She drew his name out in a long moan as the orgasm crashed over her, sending her into a shivery state as the climax took over her body. He rode out the orgasm with her, never letting up the torturous way he licked and fucked her with his fingers.

She wanted to tell him to stop. Her body was so sensitive, she needed him to stop, but then he did this thing. A tricky little thing that she’d never felt before, where he twisted his wrist, his finger curving within her, brushing against something deep inside that made her jolt.

  Made her cry out.

Oh God, made her come all over again.

“That’s it,” he encouraged, that satisfied smile on his face telling her he knew exactly what he’d just done. “Two in a row, baby. Now that’s what I call multiorgasmic in my book.”

  “Y-you keep a b-book?” she asked shakily.

He laughed. “Right, I keep notes of all the ways I can bring a woman to orgasm.” He shook his head. “I don’t think so.”

“If you do, I want a copy, because those notes, I’m pretty sure they’re worth something.” She collapsed onto the mattress, her body weak, her heart pounding so hard she was sure he could see it hammering against her skin.

“Don’t get too comfortable,” he warned as he disentangled her legs from his shoulders and pulled away from her. “We still have time.”

“We do?” she asked, her voice faint, her head spinning.

“Yeah. And we’re going for number three.” He grabbed her by the waist and swung her around as if she weighed nothing, positioning her so she was on her stomach, her arms above her head, her legs spread. “Get on your knees, baby. Ass up.”

Good lord, she didn’t know if she would be able to get into position. Her limbs were weak, she felt boneless and her heart was still thumping like crazy.

But on first touch of his hands on her ass, spreading her wide and getting her ready, she knew she would give it the old college try.

“You have terrible luck,” Luke murmured close to Andrea’s ear as he steered her away from the roulette table.

She made a sad face, her full lips in a half frown, half pout, but her eyes were sparkling. “I can’t help it if the odds were against me.”

“Yeah, well, your odds were terrible.” He took her hand and brought it to his mouth, dropping a kiss on her knuckles. “You lost all my money.”

Something flashed in her gaze, and the frown went from playful to real. “I’m sorry about that. I’ll pay you back.”

“Hell no.” He shook his head, pulling her close so he could drop a kiss on her lips. It didn’t matter if they were in the middle of the busy casino on a crowded Saturday afternoon. He didn’t care who saw them together. Not that anyone was paying them any mind. “I don’t care about the money. You were having fun, right?”

Andrea nodded, her gaze never leaving his. Damn, she was pretty. She’d given up spending time with her friends to be with him. He still didn’t know what came over him, but he knew he didn’t want her to leave. Not after that amazing night and most of the morning they spent together.

She agreed readily and sent a text to her friends reassuring them she was fine. Then she gave him a sultry smile and said she was, quote, “all his”.

Yeah. He liked the sound of that way too much. His ex-girlfriend Raquel wouldn’t give up shit to spend time with him near the end of their relationship. He didn’t realize just how selfish she was until he spent a few hours with Andrea. She was the complete opposite of selfish.

After they ate a huge breakfast, they took showers—separate because he knew, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off of a soapy, wet Andrea—and then he’d called in and purchased her a dress via one of the exclusive shops in the hotel since she had nothing to wear beyond the sexy outfit from last night. She’d insisted she could go back to her hotel room and pick up her suitcase, but he knew if she did that reality would come crashing down, bursting the little bubble they were in.

So he bought her a ridiculously expensive dress that she looked ridiculously beautiful in, though she wore no underwear beneath it, since they’d somehow misplaced the lacy ones she had on last night.

  Talk about driving him crazy.

Once the dress arrived and he convinced her she didn’t need any makeup or anything else but the dress, they’d come down to the casino, wandering around, playing a few machines, stopping at the occasional table until she finally tried her hand at roulette and failed miserably. He figured they could hang out, maybe end up going to have some lunch eventually.

But he didn’t want lunch. He didn’t want to gamble or hang out or do any of that shit. He wanted to take her back up to his suite, strip her out of that cute dress and fuck her into Sunday morning.

Yeah. Classy. Romantic. Real smooth. He was denying himself because being around her turned him into a horny dickhead with only one thing on his mind.

  Getting Andrea naked.

“What do you want to do now?” A melodic song came from a machine nearby and she started to head toward it. “I think video poker is calling my name.”

“Hey.” He grabbed hold of her arm, stopping her pr
ogress. “I have a better idea.”

“What?” She smiled up at him, and seeing her pretty curved lips, he felt like he could conquer the world, beat any team he ever had to play, as long as he got to come home to a smile like that every night for the rest of his life.

What the ever-lovin’ fuck, dude? Thinking about forever with her? You don’t even really know her.

He’d just been burned too. Raquel had messed with his head, and not because he’d been in love with her. More like she drove him crazy by always calling him and begging for him to reconsider their breakup.

There’d been nothing for him to reconsider. They were through. He didn’t miss her. His overwhelming attraction to Andrea more than made that clear.

“All I can think about is you walking around with no panties on,” he murmured. That was no lie. He could hardly concentrate, seeing her ass twitch beneath her skirt as she walked, knowing she was bare beneath the thin fabric.

“Luke,” she chastised, but he silenced her with a look.

“Let’s go find you some lingerie.”

  Now she looked confused. “Huh?”

“There’s a bunch of stores over there.” He nodded toward the giant sign hanging overhead in the near distance, indicating with an arrow exactly where all of those exclusive, expensive shops were.

“You want to buy me…underwear?” she asked incredulously.

Maybe she thought he was some sort of pervert with a lingerie fetish. Which okay, granted, he might be. It all started with those damn Victoria’s Secret catalogs that used to come to the house when he was a kid. Those women posing provocatively in their delicate lacy things were his first taste, and he naturally progressed to stealing his dad’s Playboy magazines.

He still preferred the VS girls. Something about being covered up and slowly revealed…yeah. He wanted to get Andrea into some sexy stuff.

Then peel it all off her later.

“I won’t be able to function much longer if we continue walking around here, knowing that you’re naked beneath the dress,” he admitted, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “It’s all I can think about.”

Her eyes darkened, a sure sign she was aroused. He was already figuring out her tells. “Really?”

“Uh-huh.” Luke nodded, tracing the shell of her ear, drawing his finger along her jaw. Her lips parted on a sigh and he noticed the way her pulse throbbed at the base of her neck. “So let’s get you something pretty, okay? And then later tonight, I’ll take it all off. Piece by piece.”

“That sounds…nice.” She drew in a sharp breath when he leaned in close and pressed his cheek to hers, his mouth right at her ear.

“It’ll be real nice. Hopefully you’ll let me come into the dressing room so you can model everything for me,” he whispered.

“They won’t let us do that…” she started, and he kissed her once, silencing her with his lips.

“Trust me, they’ll let me do whatever the hell I want,” he murmured, giving her another kiss before he pulled away.

Andrea gazed up at him, blinking slowly, looking a little dazed. This was fun. Being with her, teasing her, he enjoyed it. Enjoyed her. Couldn’t remember the last time he had this much fun with a woman…

“Hey, aren’t you Luke Nelson with the Seahawks?”

He turned to find two couples who looked about his age standing in front of them, the men staring at him like he was some sort of alien.

“Don’t tell me you’re Niner fans,” he started, making all of them laugh.

“No, bro, we’re from Seattle! We love you,” one of them said, the others nodding in agreement. “Can we get your autograph?”

“Sure,” Luke said easily, glancing over at Andrea, who was watching the entire interaction with amazement.

He signed cocktail napkins that they grabbed from a passing waitress’s tray and took photos with them. Andrea even offered to take a photo of all of them with him and they agreed, offering each of their phones as she snapped one picture after another.

“Thanks for being a good sport,” he said once the two couples left them.

She shrugged, smiling. “It was fun. They were so excited to meet you.”

“Yeah.” It was weird. He’d gotten used to the fame over the years but it was still odd. Especially when he was recognized outside of his element. “They were nice.”

“You were nice.” She curled her arm around his and leaned her head against him, giving him a squeeze. “You’re a good guy.”

His chest felt tight. Why did her praise make him feel so…proud? Why did he care so much?

He didn’t like it. Her opinion really shouldn’t matter to him. She was a weekend fling while on a getaway in Vegas. That was it. He needed to remember that.

“Enough of the nice guy talk,” he practically growled, slipping his arm around her shoulders and steering her toward the corridor that led toward the shops. “Let’s find you something sexy to wear under that dress.”

“What, I’m not sexy enough?” she teased, eyes flashing as she smiled up at him.

“Baby, you are too sexy for your own good.” He bent down and pressed a quick, firm kiss to her lips, trying his best to ignore the buzz that shot through him at first contact with her mouth. Every single time it happened.

  Every. Single. Fucking. Time.

And he wasn’t sure how he felt about it.

  Chapter Five

The shop was dark and dimly lit, the décor lush and exotic, and the merchandise…

Lacy and frilly and decadent and sexy and—oh wow, Andrea grabbed a price tag, unable to stop the sharp gasp that escaped her lips.

  So freaking expensive.

“I don’t like this place,” she declared, resting her hands on her hips. Crap, she didn’t even have her purse. The tiny velvet evening bag she bought for cheap at T.J.Maxx a few years ago after a holiday clearance blowout didn’t look right with the cute little sundress she was wearing today. So she’d left it in Luke’s hotel suite. Clearly she was out of her league in all aspects of her Vegas weekend so far. Like this lingerie store—Victoria’s Secret she could handle, and she found even some of their items pricey.

Not that she could afford anything in here anyway, despite her secret longing for…all of it. So much gorgeousness surrounded her. But she couldn’t justify spending a ton of money on a tiny scrap of fabric that no one would ever get to see her wear but her.

Well. She’d spent all that money on the little black dress that she’d left in a heap in Luke’s suite. But that had been worth it, because look at the man who was flipping through a rack of see-through bras, searching for something for her.

She was still having a hard time wrapping her head around it. That Luke was with her. She didn’t even care that he played football for the NFL, though she’d loved watching him interact with those fans earlier. He was so nice, so patient, so kind. Smiling and good-natured and signing the rumpled cocktail napkins, posing for photos and causing a small commotion as people passed them by.

And he was with her. Only a few hours ago he’d had his mouth between her legs, bringing her to yet another orgasm. How lucky was she? Maybe she should pinch herself and see if she was dreaming. But if she was, she definitely didn’t want to wake up…

“What do you mean you don’t like this place?” Luke hadn’t taken his gaze off the rack of bras he was staring at. In fact, he’d pulled a hanger out, looking at the cups of the bra, then staring at her chest. “What size are you, anyway?”

Like she’d yell it out in the middle of the store. Customers milled about, elegant-looking women who reeked of money. Young women dressed to kill who also reeked of money—or at least pretended to. And the occasional guy who appeared completely out of his element.

Funny how Luke seemed to fit right into this place, despite his enormous size and the confident masculinity
that seemed to radiate from him. Maybe that was exactly why he fit in. He didn’t act uncomfortable. He held a bra in his hand like it was no big deal.

She didn’t know if that made her feel better or worse. How many women had he brought shopping to this place before her? Ugh.

Now there was a thought she didn’t want to linger over too much.

“Can I help you two find something?” A woman appeared out of nowhere, clad all in black, her low-cut shirt revealing a glimpse of a sexy black lace bra. Her dark red hair was cut in a perfect straight edge, her lips blood red, her eyes smoky with dark shadow and expertly applied eyeliner.

Compared to her, Andrea felt plain, with no makeup on, her hair a little wild from the shower and no available products to use. At least she was wearing a cute dress. Oh, and the best accessory of all was with her.

  Luke Freaking Nelson.

“We’re looking for something for my…friend.” Luke flashed her a grin that melted her insides a little.

  Okay a lot.

“Anything in particular?” the woman asked, turning her assessing gaze on Andrea.

Her cheeks heated, and she sent Luke a questioning glance. She had no idea how to answer that question.

“Something sexy. Beautiful,” he said, his voice low, his gaze burning as it swept over her, making her skin tingle. “Price doesn’t matter.”

Andrea’s jaw dropped open and she started to shake her head in protest, but he sent her a firm look. One that said he wasn’t in the mood to argue so she snapped her mouth shut.

  Okay then.

The woman smiled, revealing perfectly straight, blindingly white teeth. “Perfect. Let me go gather some items.” She turned her attention to Andrea. “Size medium, cup size…34B?”

Wow, she was good. “Yes and yes.”

“Give me a few minutes. I’ll be right back.” The shop employee buzzed away like a woman on a mission and Andrea turned her attention to Luke, startled to find he’d moved much closer to her in a matter of seconds.

“You don’t need to spend a lot of money on me,” she murmured, batting at his hand when he tried to grab her waist. Not that she stopped him, considering he slipped his other arm around her waist and pulled her in close. “Seriously, did you see the way that woman’s eyes lit up when you said money’s no object?”
