What the Heart Desires Page 50

by Jaime Derelle

As Wade pushed his hard cock into her, Melanie bit her lip and tried to refrain from yelling out. It had been so long since she had experienced such intense pleasure. She’d forgotten how good it felt to be penetrated.

He pushed inside of her. She wrapped her legs around his torso and moaned. Her fingers clawed at his back as he began slowly thrusting into her, gradually picking up speed until they are making love at a feverish pace. The bed squeaked and rocked back and forth. Wade put his hands under her ass and squeezed. That allowed him to get an even better grip as he pumped his cock into her. Melanie’s eyes rolled to the back of her head. Her entire body was on fire with lust.

She urged him to fuck her deeper and harder. Her pleas and moans inspired Wade to exert even more energy. Sweat glistened on his rock hard muscles. He was so incredibly sexy!

Melanie knew that she wasn’t going to be able to hold back much longer. She could feel a powerful orgasm coming on. But she didn’t want to cum before Wade did. She wanted them both to experience that glorious pleasure at the same time.

“I’m going to cum,” she said. “I’m going to cum. Don’t stop, please don’t stop!”

Wade didn’t stop. He closed his eyes and grunted and slammed his hips into her. Melanie squeezed his ass and pulled him even deeper inside of her. She had forgotten just how deep his amazing cock was capable of going.

Wade let out a loud grunt as he came and his movements came to an abrupt halt. Melanie’s legs shook uncontrollably as an intense orgasm took complete control of her body.

It was unlike anything she’d experienced.

The two lovers lay side by side on the bed, panting, sweating, and completely exhausted.

“That was incredible,” Wade said, reaching out for one of Melanie’s breasts and gently sucking on the nipples. She smiled and rubbed the top of his head.

“It was perfect,” she said. “Absolutely perfect.”

They stayed in bed for the next few hours, chatting about the future that they planned on having together. Things had never seemed brighter for the couple. But there were more obstacles on the horizon. For the time being, everything seemed perfect.

  Chapter 6

That was the first night of many that the couple spent together. It wasn’t long before they began talking about kids and marriage. And that’s when things hit a snag. They couldn’t agree on where they wanted to live.

“I thought that you were sick of that New York life,” Melanie said. She had her arms crossed over her chest, and she was staring out the kitchen window. She wasn’t trying to be rude, but she simply couldn’t bear to look at Wade. Was he really asking her to leave the town where they’d both grown up to return to the cesspool that was New York? She felt hurt. She felt betrayed.

But more than anything, she experienced a deep sense of disappointment. It seemed like Wade was going to break her heart all over again. But that wasn’t all. What made it even worse was that he is going to break her heart again at Christmas time.

This was too much for her! She had the urge to collapse on the floor and roll into a ball and just stay there for hours, crying her eyes out. That seemed like the only reasonable course of action. All the moves that she made in her love life always turned out to be failures.

“I should have refused to see you,” she said bitterly. “I don’t know what I was thinking. I don’t know why I thought it would ever work out between us. That was so stupid of me.”

She got up from the dining room table and carried her plate into the kitchen. Wade didn’t say anything. Instead, he followed her with his eyes. He was about to dig into his plate of steak and mashed potatoes when Melanie had gotten up from the table. The food smelled and looked delicious. But the beefy hockey player seemed to have lost his appetite.

“Are you just going to sit there staring at me?” Melanie snapped. For the first time since they’d been reunited, there was some real anger in her voice. It might have been those past feelings of abandonment and betrayal that were welling up inside her. Whatever it was, she appeared to be on the brink of really exploding. She was a burning caldron of conflicting feelings. So many memories, good and bad, had come rushing to the surface over the last few days.

If this is what life with Wade would be like all the time, she didn’t think that she would be able to handle it.

Wade slammed his fist on the table and stood up. Melanie spun around and stared at him. She knew that he wasn’t the type of man to react like that unless he was furious. It hadn’t been her intention to upset him, but she didn’t know any other way to express herself.

“It seems like every time we get close you pull back from me. I don’t get it,” Wade said.

Melanie could hear the hurt and confusion in his voice. Maybe being a bit cold and distant was her way of protecting herself. She knew that she wasn’t doing it on purpose. Despite the pain that Wade had caused her over the years, she would never do anything to hurt him knowingly. She would never be able to forgive herself if she did.

Melanie was too overcome to say anything more. She felt tears beginning to stream down her cheeks. Wade rushed towards her and wrapped his arms around her. For several minutes, they remained in that tight embrace. Neither one of them had any desire to release the other. They had spent too many years apart.

Wade lifted Melanie’s face towards his and stared at her lovingly. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you no matter where we live. Do you understand?”

Melanie nodded submissively and let her head rest on Wade’s powerful chest. That’s all she wanted to hear. She was willing to follow him wherever he wanted to go.

“The New York stuff is not about being a star,” Wade said. “If I’m gonna play hockey, my best shot is doing it in New York.”

Melanie wasn’t in the mood for talking. She wanted to feel Wade’s powerful body on top of hers. She wanted to feel his strength pinning her to the bed. And she had the insatiable desire to feel once again him inside of her.

“No more talking for now,” she said in her sultriest, sexiest voice. She kissed him on the lips, then took him by the hand and led him into the bedroom.

They made love several times that night, not falling asleep until the wee hours of the morning, Christmas morning. When they woke up, snow was falling lightly, and there was already a thin layer on the ground. Before getting out of bed and heading to the town square for the ceremonial tree service, Melanie and Wade kissed and cuddled.

This was the kind of perfect Christmas that Melanie wouldn’t have ever thought possible. She’d been reunited with her one true love on the most special day of the year. Never again would she dread this wonderful holiday. Wade had helped her realize just how wonderful Christmas could be if you spent it with the right person. She hoped that they would be able to spend many such incredible days together, whether it was here in town or New York.

As it turned out, there was no need for them to argue about returning to New York. Wade’s agent never made it to town to experience an authentic small town Christmas, but he did call Wade to let him know that he’d received several offers to try out for different NHL teams, including the Minnesota Wild.

Three months later Wade signed with the Wild, and Melanie learned that she was pregnant. Things couldn’t have worked out better for them. They are eagerly looking forward to spending this next Christmas together as a family. The delivery date is expected to be December 25!
