“And don’t hit my line no more,” he said.
I dropped my head and slid my robe off. He stopped and looked at me.
“Is this what you want?” I asked as I bent over the bed, preparing for what was about to happen.
“Yeah, stay just like that,” he said.
I heard his pants hit the floor. He spit in his hand again, but this time he rubbed it around my asshole. Davinchi was not who I thought he was when we first met. He had played the game well, but it was too late now. I was already in love.
“Ahhh,” I let out a soft cry as he slid his dick in.
“Good girl,” he said as he leaned over and kissed my back. “Who’s ass is this?”
“Yours,” I cried. This felt like rape in every sense of the word. I literally felt like I was being ripped apart.
“Damn, this ass tight,” he said as he put all of his weight on my back and pinned me down.
“Da… vinchi,” I whimpered as he sped up the pace.
“You gonna stop acting crazy and shit? Huh?” he asked, going deeper.
“Yes. Yeeees,” I cried out to the heavens.
I felt like he was still punishing me for how I whipped him. I liked rough sex, but never had he done it like this… in my ass. Anyone who has ever had that happen will feel the pain that I felt right now. And he had the whole thing inside.
“Don’t ask me no more fucking questions about what I got going on,” he said as he fucked me as hard as he could. I wasn’t just crying now, I was crying like I had just gotten my ass whooped by my mother with a switch.
As he demolished my ass, I kept thinking about that license I found in his car. Since I couldn’t ask any more questions, I decided to just go to the address and see what was going on. After all, I had the ID in my purse.
But first, I had to get him out of my ass. I had a burning question. Why was he so into ass fucking all of a sudden? And why did I have to endure the pain? I swear this pain better lead me to becoming his wife. I felt like I was about to die as he enjoyed the way I felt.
Chapter Twelve
Diamond
“What are you doing?” Kasha asked as I tried to take the money off the nightstand. We were all finished and it was time to go.
“This is our tip. He said to get it when we left,” I said, sliding the money into my bra.
“Uh uh. He didn’t tell me nothing like that. Give it back,” she said, walking up to me.
Red came down the stairs when she heard the commotion.
“Look, lady. We’ve been here all day. I’m tired, sleepy and hungry. I will not do this with you right now,” I said as she folded her arms.
“Is everything, okay?” Red asked.
“Everything is fine.”
“No, it’s not. I need that money back.”
“No, he gave it to us as a tip,” Red said, standing by me.
“Well, let me just call him and ask,” she said and picked up the house phone.
“This bitch…” Red said under her breath.
“Yes, baby. Did you leave the maids a tip? … No… Okay, I thought so… no, everything is fine, they were just leaving… it’s fine, no need to get them fired… it was just a misunderstanding… okay, I love you too.” She hung up the phone and smirked.
I couldn’t believe this shit. What type of games were they playing?
“I sat there and heard him tell us he left the tip,” Red said.
“I know I ain’t tripping,” I added.
“Do I need to call the manager?” Kasha asked.
I shook my head, took the money out, and placed it on the bed. I had lost all respect for Gee’s fake ass, and his side kick ass brother.
“Diamond…” Red said as I walked away.
“It’s not worth it. Let’s just go,” I said as I stormed up the stairs and gathered my stuff.
I needed that money. Red and I both needed that money. We had car troubles the other week and had to pay for that, so now we were short on rent. And the way shit was going with Davinchi, I would end up living in a shelter before I let him ever disrespect me again. I had a long time to think about the foul shit he said to me this morning, and I decided that my dignity was more important than his little bit of money. God didn’t bring me this far to drop me now.
“Is that everything?” Red asked as we gathered our bags.
We left the key on the table, so we had to take the long stairs down to the parking garage. Without a key card, we couldn’t access the elevator.
“Shit,” I said as we were walking down the staircase.
“What?” Red asked, obviously hot because I was burning up.
“The sole of my shoe just broke,” I said, leaning against the railing and picking my feet up. Shit just kept getting worse and worse. Lord knows I couldn’t afford another pair right now.
“Come on, we only got a few more flights,” Red said as she grabbed my hand.
When we got to the car, fake ass Gee and Yazz pulled up.
“Y’all good?” Gee asked when he saw us rushing and not trying to even look at him.
“Everything is fine,” I said as I closed the trunk and got into the passenger side.
“Red…” Yazz said, walking around to her.
She shut the door and didn’t even respond. All three of them were just weird as fuck, and I didn’t have the time.
The day had been so long, we didn’t even talk. We just played slow jams the whole way home. We listened to the Keith Sweat station on Pandora, and now I was in my feelings. What was life? My dreams were plummeting right in front of me. I was a single mom to my little sister, my man was treating me like shit, and my shoe had just broken. I was dead broke in the city of dreams.
“Red, if this is too much, you can go back home to Texas. I swear I won’t be mad,” I confessed.
Red had family back home, but her people had promised her that if she went to NYC with me, she was on her own. And they meant it. They didn’t send her a damn thing. Her mother felt like Red took on too many of my problems, therefore bringing those struggles upon herself.
“I wish I would leave you and Rena here alone. We came here with a goal, and we will reach it. A little darkness ain’t never scared nobody,” she said.
Speaking of darkness, we had been in traffic so long, it was now night time. It had to have been a wreck because we had been in traffic for over three hours. The fact that we didn’t live close made it that much worse.
“I guess you’re right,” I mumbled.
When we got about seven blocks from my building, the car started to make a noise, so we pulled into an alley.
“Please don’t do this tonight,” I said to the car as I lifted the hood like I knew what I was looking for.
“See any smoke?” Red asked.
“Nah, let’s just hope it’s nothing,” I said as we got back into the car.
Red attempted to start the engine and it didn’t budge.
“Shit!” she yelled, hitting the wheel.
I didn’t want to, but I had to call Davinchi. He didn’t answer, but when I was about to call him again, he called me back. “Davinchi?”
“Yo, I’m busy. What is it?” he asked.
I rolled my eyes and so did Red.
“My car just stopped seven blocks down. Can you pick us up?” I asked.
“Y’all not far. Why not walk?”
“Hang up,” Red said.
“It’s dark, Vinchi. And this is Brooklyn.”
“Don’t be a pussy. Just walk fast and mind ya business.”
The next thing I heard was a click.
“Did he hang up?” Red asked.
“Yep.”
“Man, let’s just walk so we can get Rena. We can worry about this in the morning,” Red said as we grabbed our work bags from the trunk.
Before we could make it out the alley, three men walked in with knives. Red pulled me close and grabbed my arm.
“What’s in the bag?” one man asked. It was too dark to see his face
.
“Take it,” I said, throwing it to them. I learned that from an older lady when I first moved here. She said if you ever get stuck up, just give them what they want.
“You too, princess,” he said to Red.
She threw her bag also.
“Cleaning supplies? Empty wallet? So you two some broke hoes?” he asked as his friends joined him in laughter.
“But they real pretty,” the other said, walking to me and rubbing my face with his rough hands. They smelled like old oil and pig feet.
“Just leave us alone,” Red said.
“You look like you got some fire pussy,” one said as he grabbed Red’s ass.
Thinking fast, I grabbed my mace out of my pocket and maced the one that was feeling up on Red. Then I started macing all three of them.
“Bitch!”
I was now being attacked by the two men as the other one threw Red over the car and fought to remove her clothing.
“Help!” I yelled.
Red couldn’t yell because he had his hand over her mouth.
“Oh, Jesus, no,” I said as they threw me on the ground and removed my pants.
“He can’t help you now,” one of them said as he licked my mouth.
I heard a series of gunshots and the two dudes’ bodies dropped on top of me. I felt the blood as it leaked through my clothing.
“What the fuck?” I looked over at Red, who looked as confused as I was. The guy that tried to attack her was also down.
“Are you okay?” Red asked, running over to aid me.
“I’m fine.”
I got up and let the streetlight show the blood that was all over me. Then I looked up and saw two men with guns. Red and I held each other close as they got closer and revealed themselves.
“Didn’t y’all parents teach ya not to be in dark alleys alone at night?” Yazz said as Gee stood over one of the attackers and shot him in the head. He was still moving so Gee shot him twice more.
“Did y’all follow us?” I asked.
“Yes. All in that three-hour traffic. We tried to get y’all attention in the garage, but y’all left. What’s good?” Yazz asked.
“Nothing.”
“Get in the car. We will take you two home,” Gee said. He came and stood behind us, making sure we didn’t object. “Let’s go,” he said in a demanding tone.
“But my car,” I said.
“I’ll handle it. Let’s go, I need to talk to you two,” Gee said as Yazz grabbed our bags and led us to the back of their Range Rover, which was parked on the street.
When we finally got to my building, Yazz and Red went up. Gee walked me to the second floor to get Rena.
“Is this your daughter?” he asked as Rena grabbed my ears and I kissed her cheeks.
“No. My little sister.”
It wasn’t until we got into the hallway that I realized how cut he was. Maybe because he was standing right beside me. His muscles looked rock hard as his veins popped out of his arms. Gee had a grown and very sexy look to him and I loved it. And from the look of things, he wasn’t afraid to kill when it came to protecting women. Now if I could get Davinchi to be just like him, I would be fine because Gee would never go for someone like me, judging by the looks of his bitch at the penthouse.
When I saw the eviction notice on the door, I tried to hurry up and take it down before Gee saw it, but he pulled it from my hand. Now I remembered why I was mad at him in the first place. He told Kasha to not give us the tip.
“What is this?” he asked as I pushed the door open.
“We’re getting kicked out at the end of the month,” I said.
Yazz was standing in the kitchen looking through the fridge, making himself extremely comfortable. Red was sitting on the couch with her face in her palms. From the stressed demeanor she displayed, she had seen the notice also.
Rena squirmed out of my arms and walked over to Red so she could hug her. Whenever she saw someone in distress, it was her way of stating that everything would be okay. It wasn’t, because my car was now broken, and Davinchi and I were done. Point blank period.
“Who burnt some fettuccini?” Yazz asked, holding up the pot that was still on the stove.
I looked up and saw that it now had roaches in it. I was so fucking embarrassed for them to see us like this. It was all bad.
“Can I talk to you alone?” Gee asked, grabbing my hand and pulling me up.
“Sure,” I mumbled as I led him back to my room.
He shut the door.
“I will add on to that tip if you do me a favor,” he said, sitting on my bed.
“Tuh. Tip? We didn’t get no tip.”
“What?”
“Don’t play dumb now. You know damn well your bitch snatched that shit from us.”
“You will not speak to me in that manner. I’ve done you no harm. And who is this bitch that you speak of?” he asked, looking extremely confused.
I waited before answering, searching for the truth in his dark eyes. But I ended up letting my eyes trail off to his smooth, chocolate face as he ran his hands through his full beard.
“Yes, she called you, and you even threatened to get us fired.”
He started shaking his head in confusion. “What? Go back. Kasha called me today?”
“Never mind, dude,” I said when I saw that we were having two totally different perceptions. “What’s the favor?”
“I need you to marry me.”
“Excuse me?” I asked. I heard Red asking the same thing, so Yazz must had asked her too.
“I need to be a citizen within the next three years, and I need to marry an American woman to ensure that this happens.”
“You’re not a citizen?” I asked.
“If you haven’t noticed, I talk different. I’m from Haiti.”
“Not really. You have an accent, but you use our lingo,” I said.
I had noticed that about them two. They had thick accents, but used our slang.
“Yeah, we used to come here for the summers with my uncle, and you people rubbed off on us. When I’m here, I talk like this, but on the islands, I hardly speak any English. Just trying not to stand out too much, understand? That’s why I need you to marry me.”
“An illegal immigrant?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“I will pay you,” he said, ignoring my question.
“How much?” I asked.
“I will have my lawyer draw up a contract and we will have to come to an agreement.”
“Is this really happening right now?” I asked, looking around for a camera crew.
“I speak no lies from my mouth. This was a last minute thing, and I need it to happen soon.” He stood up, like our conversation was over.
“I mean… yeah, if you pay me,” I said as I followed him back into the living room.
The Lord came right on time with this one. All I had to do was marry him and never talk to him again… but still get paid? Yeah, I was all in.
“Here, that’s to hold you over until we get this thing poppin’,” he said, placing five rolls of money in my hand.
Yazz did the same thing to Red.
“Let’s roll,” Yazz said as he walked out first.
Gee came over, took down my cell number and told me not to do anything crazy because he knew where I stayed.
“You ladies be careful,” Gee said as he shut the door behind him.
“Did Yazz ask you to marry him?” I asked her.
“Hell yes!” she yelled in excitement.
Rena smiled and started to clap her hands.
“I hope this is quick and easy because I’m breaking up with Davinchi tonight. I made up my mind.”
“Let’s just go to bed and worry about them bridges when we cross them,” Red said, taking Rena to bathe.
There had to be a catch to this.
Chapter Thirteen
Patricia
“You sure ya man said we can use the whip?” I asked Skata as we stak
ed out the address on the ID from across the street.
“Duh. Relax,” she said, filing her nails.
We had been sitting in the car for hours waiting for Davinchi to come. This station wagon had tint also, so I knew I was in the clear and wouldn’t be caught. Before I went all out for this nigga, I had to make sure he wasn’t around here fucking trannies.
Finally, Davinchi pulled up to the house with someone else in the car with him. I couldn’t see the face, but it had to be another woman by the way the hair was. I let the window down so I could hear.
“Bitch, get the fuck out,” he said, standing at the passenger side. The girl wouldn’t open the door, and from the looks of it, she had just locked him out.
“Fuck you!” she yelled.
“Ay, Mama said don’t come over here with all that noise,” Marvolen, the tranny, said as he rushed down the stoop to see what the fuss was about.
“Man, tell Mama to come get this hoe out my whip!” Davinchi yelled in distress.
Now I could exhale, knowing that Marvolen was his brother.
“Seeka, just get out, girl,” Marvolen said.
“Seeka?” me and Skata said in unison.
“Nah, tell ya mama how you trying to force me to abort while you at it!” she yelled.
By this time, the neighbors had started to come out to be nosey, and so did I. As I jogged across the street, she had opened the car door to talk more shit.
“Bitch, that ain’t even my baby!” Davinchi yelled as his mother came out talking shit.
It was so much going on that he didn’t see me. Not until I ran over and popped Seeka dead in her mouth for playing with me.
Chapter Fourteen
Davinchi
“Oooooh,” the crowd yelled as Patricia smacked Seeka in the face.
“She’s pregnant! Stop them,” my faggot ass brother yelled with his hands over his mouth.
This was super embarrassing. I didn’t like anyone to know that Marvolen was my blood brother. That’s why I stayed far the fuck away from him and his little gay friend crew.
“Nah, fuck that. If those hoes wanna be stupid and fight, let them fight,” I said as I walked closer up on them to witness the beat down that Patricia was giving Seeka. For some odd ass reason, Patricia was always right on time. Like on some stalker shit.
