  “We better get ready, then.”

Footsteps in the hall moving towards the back made Brandon peek out the curtain. Angelo passed them again and Brandon shouted, “Anybody else here?”

“Nope.” Angelo stopped. “Just me. Want me to wait outside? Mark and Justin are inside with the other guys.”

Mackenzie turned her head. “If you don’t mind.”

“Will do.” Angelo started walking towards the exit. “I’ll be right outside.”

After showering and changing clothes, Brandon eyed Mackenzie. She was in his new favorite outfit, the tight black dress he bought her in Montreal. Her hair was up in the back, with strands framing her face beautifully. He had never seen the black high heel sandals with straps around her ankles. Those were most definitely hot.

“Damn, woman. You look good.” He winked. “Move over, ‘Boss’ Daughter.’ ” He grinned, recalling the day Scott mentioned Mackenzie looking like the girl in that song.

She blushed slightly. He always made her feel sexier than she thought she was. “Thanks.”

“Ready to go?” Brandon offered his hand.

Nodding, she grasped his hand and followed him outside. When he lifted her off the bottom step, she looked around. There were still fans beyond the barriers, but security kept them at bay. Screams filled the air when Brandon waved to them. Then he gave her his arm, and she happily hooked hers into it. She didn’t look back to see what the girls’ reaction was.

They walked into the upstairs private room, still arm and arm. Heads turned, but no one said anything. Brandon could tell things had just gotten started. Cameras were set up, but no one manned them. The buffet was set out. Then he noticed the doors to the veranda were open.

“Come see the view.” He moved his arm and took her hand in his. Then he tugged her outside.

Mackenzie’s mouth opened at the view. The Mississippi River was visible in the near distance, as was the Horace Wilkinson Bridge and the USS Kidd. It was amazing. She traveled often, but she rarely took in the sights.

“Nice, huh?” Brandon wrapped his arms around her from behind and brushed his lips over her ear. “Gonna take you all over the world to see things like this.”

She smiled. “I’d like to see the world with you.”

At that moment, he knew she would marry him. It just needed to be the right time. “Yeah, just me and you.”

“Glad you made it.” Scott lightly slapped Brandon’s back. “See you guys’re coming out tonight.” He winked. “About time.”

Brandon took a deep breath. “Yeah, it is.”

“There’s gonna be a lotta questions.” Austin came up on their other side. “None of us ever admitted to a relationship before.”

A commotion caught Brandon’s attention. “Well… Ready or not, here we go.”

Within minutes, an entire crowd had entered the room behind them. No one noticed Brandon and Mackenzie at first. Then the radio personality running the event stepped outside.

“So, who’s ready to meet the boys of Wicked End?” Randy Crew asked the VIP ticket holders he was leading outside.

Jake and Chico hustled over to the others just in time. They stood as a group, Brandon holding Mackenzie’s hand to his chest.

Someone shouting, “She has his crystal,” told them the questions were about to begin.

“So…” Randy smiled as he approached the band. “Who is this lovely lady, Brandon?”

With a grin, Brandon replied, “My girlfriend, Mackenzie.”

“Where did you meet?” someone asked.

Brandon searched the faces looking for who asked to no avail. “She’s a childhood friend. We always stayed in touch. Things just changed for us recently.” He met her eyes. “I’m glad they did.” Flashes went off several times.

“That’s big news.” Randy did not like being caught off guard, but was glad to be the one to confirm the rumors that Brandon had someone special. “Are you planning to get married?”

Mackenzie took a step back, and her face fell. “No.” It slipped out.

“Chill out. Please.” Brandon begged her. He looked up at the group. “It’s too soon to think of that.” He laughed. “Just getting the hang of this dating thing.”

Someone else asked, “Is she the one who got sick in Montreal?”

Brandon glanced around. Everyone shrugged. He had not heard that news got out. “Uh, well…” He looked to Scott, unsure. Scott nodded. “Yes, but she’s fine now.”

Randy waved a hand. “That’s enough about Brandon’s love life. Let’s give him a break.” He checked inside, then turned back to the band. “Are you ready to play?”

Relief washed over Brandon. He led Mackenzie inside and pointed to a chair next to where their instruments were set up. He lifted his acoustic and donned the strap.

Scott wondered if he and Austin came out as a couple if it would be so easy. He doubted it. With his acoustic slung over his shoulder, he looked to Austin. When Austin winked, Scott smiled. Knowing something few did was fun, in a way.

“How about we start out with ‘Thoughts of You?’ ” Jake asked into his mic. The set was planned, but he liked to make the fans think they had input.

Mackenzie watched as they played and the crowd sang along for the most part. Their next song was “Lonely Road.” She knew Brandon wrote it before they got together, when he was missing her. After hearing the song, she had asked.

When they had also done “Follow-Through” and “The Agony Within,” Jake put a hand up. “Thanks for sticking with us over the years. It’s gonna be a kick-ass show tonight.”

“Can you do ‘Lost Control?’ ” someone in the back shouted.

Jake glanced at Brandon. He shrugged. Jake knew it was an emotional song for him. “OK, ‘Lost Control’ it is.”

Mackenzie’s hands balled into fists. The opening notes sounded beautiful on the acoustic. She watched Brandon, hoping he could keep his emotions reined in. The entire intro he seemed OK. Even through the first verse, his expression was blank. Then he closed his eyes.

“Fragile and frail. Helpless and pale.” Jake, Scott and Austin sang softly as the music played. Then Jake’s voice got deeper. “Way down deep in my soul. I feel like I've lost control.”

Tears streamed down Mackenzie’s cheeks. It was nothing like hearing it in a stadium full of screaming people, music blaring. The words were clear, although, in her emotional state, she may have missed a verse.

When the song ended, they signed autographs, took pictures and talked to the VIP fans. Once the fans had cleared out, there was a blogger who had an interview scheduled. After getting something to eat, they all sat outside at a table.

“So, I have to ask,” the music blogger, Charlene, said. “That last song felt very emotional. Other than your last album, you have not put out much music like that. What’s it about?”

Jake and Scott looked at each other, then towards Brandon. Then Jake turned to Charlene. “Well, that one’s a bit personal.”

“Sounds to me like someone lost someone close to them,” Charlene stated. She looked at all their faces. Brandon looked sick, and the woman beside him held his hand.

Mackenzie gripped Brandon’s hand firmly. “Baby, it’s up to you. I’m fine with it. I survived.”

“Should I just post my opinion instead?” Charlene gave them a small smile, hoping they didn’t want speculation.

“I wrote it.” Brandon put up a hand. “There was an accident, and I almost lost someone close to me.”

Scott sat next to him. He put a hand on Brandon’s shoulder. “We’re all here.”

“Sorry to hear that.” Charlene felt bad she was so close to the mark. “I hope she’s OK now.”

Brandon kissed Mackenzie’s hand. “She is.”

“Thanks for your honesty.” Charlene noticed the intimacy between the couple. “Your girlfriend, I assume?”

Nodding, Brandon smiled. “Yep. This is Mackenzie.”

Jake interrupted, trying to get the subject
changed. “Charlene, we’re already working on our next album, as you know. It should be released in time for the January tour.”

  Chapter 9

When they had said good-bye to the audience that night, Brandon handed off his guitar to a tech and bounded down the stairs. Mackenzie was waiting for him. He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up. Since the meet and greet, he had a lot on his mind. He was more than grateful that he still had her. Holding her tight, he finally felt secure.

“I love you so much, Kenzie.” He closed his eyes.

She felt his anxiety and said, “Love you, too.” When he put her down, she looked into his eyes. “Wanna talk?”

“Not yet.” Brandon smiled and kissed her lips. “Let me get cleaned up first. I must stink to all hell.” He walked with her down the hallway to their dressing room. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.” They had showers in the arena that had to be better than the one on the bus. He grabbed the bag he had prepared and left the room.

Mackenzie opened a beer and sat down. The room was half-full of people she didn’t know. A few of the crew milled about, but most were packing up the band’s equipment. The music wasn’t blaring at least.

“So you’re Brandon’s girlfriend?” a young woman asked as she approached Mackenzie.

Looking up, Mackenzie sized her up. A bottle blonde, wearing too much makeup and phony as hell. “Yeah, why?”

“I wanted to fuck him tonight,” the blonde replied. “Didn’t know about you.”

Mackenzie stood, sensing a possible altercation. “Well, how do you know he wants you?” She glared at the groupie, glad she stood several inches taller than her. “My man is picky.”

“Well…” Blondie backed up a step. “Well, we’ll see what he says.”

With a knowing smile, Mackenzie told her, “We sure will.”

Jesse opened the door and blushed at the sight of Mackenzie. No other woman affected him that way. Then he noticed the groupie glaring at her. “Kenzie, everything OK?”

“Yeah,” Mackenzie called to him. “She’s waiting for Brandon.”

Jesse looked down at his dirty clothes. “Uh, OK. Want me to stay, just in case?”

“I’m fine.” Mackenzie looked at the girl sideways. “We’re just waiting for Brandon.” She sat back down and relaxed, not worried at all.

Soon after, Brandon walked the hallway, clean and changed. He passed Jesse. “Hey.” When Jesse stopped, he continued, “Hurry up and get ready.”

“Will do.” Jesse rushed back to the bus.

Brandon continued towards Wicked End’s dressing room. When he opened the door, he felt tension. Scanning the room, he noticed a young woman standing close to Mackenzie, who gave the girl a menacing look. He hurried to defuse what seemed to be a pending explosion.

“Hey, ladies.” Brandon gave them his biggest smile. He sat next to Mackenzie and whispered, “Something wrong here?”

Mackenzie grinned. “This chick thinks you might wanna fuck her tonight.”

“I have no idea who she is.” Brandon’s heart started to pound. “I swear I didn’t agree to that.”

The blonde interrupted, “Brandon, I’ll do anything you want. I’ll even do her, too, if you like that sorta thing.”

Brandon looked from the blonde to his girlfriend. Then he realized what was happening and cracked up laughing. “I thought you were pissed.” He glanced up at the groupie. “Sorry, but I’m a one-woman man when she’s around.” He bit his lip, wanting to start their last night together already. “Not tonight.”

When the girl left in a huff, Mackenzie pushed his arm. “So if I wasn’t here, you’d do her?”

“Hell no!” Brandon’s face screwed up. “She’s so not my type. I try to let ’em down easy, though.” Then he leaned closer to her. “I got something set up in another room.”

The door opened. Scott, Austin and Chico walked in with girls trailing them. “Time to get this party started!” Chico shouted.

After grabbing a drink, Scott watched Brandon and Mackenzie leave. “Damn, guess not.”

“What?” Austin took a long pull from his beer. “You need to talk to Brandon?”

Scott shrugged. “Nah, just still hoping for a three-way or something.”

“Let them do their thing…” Austin grinned when his eyes settled on a set of twins. “…and we’ll do ours.” He nodded in the girls’ direction. “Maybe we can get them to do a cross-69. That’s always fun.”

Scott bit his lip as the last time they did that came to mind. Him eating out the girl that was blowing Austin and vice versa was incredibly hot. The logistics weren’t always easy, but it was even better than naked Twister.

“That sounds interesting.” Scott grabbed two more beers and headed in their direction. “You two look like could use a drink.” He handed one to each of them. “Did you ladies see the show?”

Brandon and Mackenzie walked the hallway as he looked for the room he had Jesse and Andy set up for him. He just hoped she liked it. He took a deep breath when he saw the hanger on the doorknob.

“Ready?” Brandon placed his hand on her back.

She looked at him as he reached for the door. “For what?”

“Your send-off.” He smirked and opened the door.

Everything was exactly as they discussed. Music played, colored bulbs had replaced the normal ones and a few candles were burning. There wasn’t a bed, but the first couch was quite wide.

“You did all this?” She was in awe. “When did you find time?”

He blushed a bit. “Well… I had some of the guys set it up earlier.”

She walked around the room and smiled. “They did a nice job.”

The music playing was softer than most that they played in their dressing room. Nickelback’s “Next Go Round” played. She didn’t know any of the crew liked them. As she checked things out, the song changed to Adelitas Way’s “Dirty Little Thing.” Then she realized they must have only added sex-themed music to the playlist.

“So…” She sat on the couch. “…what’s the plan?”

Brandon sat next to her. “I was thinking we’d fuck, and then fuck some more.”

  “I got a better idea.”

He cocked an eyebrow. “Better than fucking?”

She got to her feet and swayed her hips to the beat. “Yeah,” she replied in a sultry tone. “How about a bit of foreplay?”

Arms above her head and knees bent, doing her best erotic dance. The pole dancing classes she had taken the year before were finally coming in handy. Looking around the room, she noticed a narrow support post. It was square but would have to do.

Brandon watched her, enthralled. She walked around a post, then leaned her back on it and slid down to a crouch. Her legs opened, giving him a peek of her clean-shaven bare pussy. He groaned. His cock was so hard it was trying to burst from his jeans.

“Fuckin’ A!” He went to get up, and she waved her index finger at him while shaking her head. “Aw, come on.”

She licked her lips. “A little teasing never hurts.” She ran her hands up her thighs, lifting her skirt almost to her hips. “And it’s really turning me on.” She could feel how wet and swollen she already was.

Jesse quietly entered the room, and his mouth dropped. His eyes followed Mackenzie as she danced and gyrated. Instantly, blood rushed to his groin. Eyes wide, he was almost drooling watching her seduce Brandon. When the song changed, he grinned. “Control” by Puddle of Mudd was one of his favorites.

Mackenzie bit her bottom lip. It was one of her favorites too. She always got horny when she heard it. A look of desire in her eyes, she crossed the room to Brandon and put her hands on his knees. Then she shook her ass and softly sang the words to him. It never failed to make her crazy, and her face showed it.

His balls aching already, Brandon focused on his girlfriend’s body in front of him. Then as she rocked her hips, Jesse appeared behind her. They stared at her together, while she continued to move to the music. When the music
slowed, Brandon winked at Jesse.

“With the words?” Jesse mouthed. A nod told him yes. He watched her pussy and ass move with her body, dying to sink his dick into her.

She jumped when Jesse slapped her ass. Then her eyes met Brandon’s, and he started singing the words. She yelped when Jesse smacked her harder. Looking back, she realized he was doing it with the song lyrics. She expected the next one. Her pussy clenched.

Jesse smiled at how wet she was getting. Fluid ran down her inner thigh. He slapped her ass one last time, then lapped at the moisture. She softly moaned and pushed her hips back to him. Obviously, she wanted more. He glanced at Brandon who nodded. Then he buried his face in her folds.

Brandon opened his pants and released his leaking erection. “Suck me, Tink.”

She leaned down and slid her lips over the head slowly. Then she ran her tongue around the rim. When Brandon gasped, she quickly took as much of his shaft as possible. Just as she pulled back, the song changed to “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails. She shuddered. Jesse’s tongue flicked her clit repeatedly. Suddenly, he shoved two fingers into her.

“Oh God!” It was muffled since her mouth was still full. She moaned and sighed as he thrust harder and started sucking on her clit. “Ah… ah… ah, fuck!”

His hips going up, Brandon moaned. The vibrations in her throat were driving him crazy. He knew she was cumming hard. He listened to the song. They had planned the song order to progress the night. She played right into his hands.

“Now,” Brandon said over the music.

Jesse hurried to open his pants. He also heard the chorus about to start. Timing it just right, he thrust his cock into her, and she screamed.

“It hurt?” Brandon grabbed her hands.

Mackenzie shook her head slightly; glad Jesse got her so wet first. Her eyes shut and pussy clenched around Jesse’s huge shaft. She had not expected that. He withdrew and drove into her to the hilt. She moaned as he ground into her, caressing her cervix and pressing against her clit.

Clutching her hips, Jesse’s body trembled. He missed sex without a condom. When Brandon asked him if he had been playing it safe, he didn’t think it was so he could have Mackenzie bareback again. She pulsated within, pleasure radiating throughout his groin. He gave her a few more strokes, drawing them out as slow as possible. Brandon had told him he wanted to prolong the night.
