“It’s my fault.” I said, feeling like shit. “It is my fault.” I looked over at Ian. “Call it off.”

Ian shook his head. “I have talked to her. We have worked it out. It will be ok. I asked her. She said yes, she will be my wife and I will look after her and be open to loving her as promised. You don’t need to worry about anything except having fun. Everything else is on me.”

“Is it the scars that bother you?” Emma asked softly looking up at him.

Ian stared at her. “No! Her body is amazing.” He meant that.

“So, it’s because she works a rough job?” Carrie nodded in understanding.

“I don’t even know what she does for a living. After winning that fifty million the other night, I would think she would retire,”

Ian said with a smile. “I wonder what she will spend it on.”

“She didn’t tell you?” Gerrard asked.

Ian and I both shook our heads.

“She paid out our collective debts, set our kids up for college and paid off our business loan.”

I grinned at Brian. “You finally own it.”

He nodded. “She bought a heap of shares or something and put some money away for a rainy day and then gave the rest to charity.”

My jaw dropped. “She spent it?”

  Her family nodded.

“How the fuck did she manage to spend fifty million dollars! How much did she give to charity?”

“Oh, she umm, put it to her charity she started. She has had trouble funding it for a long time.”

“I don’t understand why she would just go spend it all! I was going to sit down and talk to her about investing, stocks and property.”

“She did all that.” Billy shrugged. “She didn’t waste a penny.”

I stared at them. “How? We have been with her most of the time.”

“How have you managed to plan a wedding, a house and everything else?” Richard countered.

Now Ian looked at him with a WTF expression on his face.

Richard calmly stared at Ian. “He bought you and Kate a house to live in while you have your two-year marriage.”

I could have killed Richard but I held my tongue and energy because they all started arguing.

Ian growled at me and I sighed. “Well, don’t go through with it. It really is that simple. If you don’t love her and feel nothing for her. Don’t marry her. You both deserve better.” I gave up.

“I feel for her Charlie. You know I do. I just don’t think I can love a woman after five days! I need time. As I said I have talked to her and she is all right with it.”

“Hey, this is supposed to be a joint hen and buck’s night. It is supposed to be fun.” Susan stopped the conversation.

Great, now she was about to get pissy.

“How about we get back on track and actually get drunk and party?” Susan took Tammy’s hand. “I’m going to go find the bride to be and I’m going to take her dancing. Because this sure as fuck is about as fun as fucking a cactus.” She looked at Emma and Carrie. “If someone had just gone and paid out my debt? I would be fucking grateful. Not bitching about it. She knew you would get to it. But she wanted to relieve you of the burden. If you come with us then you better remember it’s her hen’s night. She shouldn’t be fucking miserable.”

She looked over at Ian. “And you. If you marry that woman then try and measure her to Aria’s standard? You will fail, the marriage will fail, and you will hurt not just her, but all the kids. You need to let her sit on her own pedestal with her own standards. She can’t be Aria. So, don’t expect her to be.”

Emma and Carrie looked at each other. “We weren’t all that rough on her.”

“Charlie flew you in because she needed her family here for support, especially after this morning’s events,” Susan countered. “And the first thing you did was kick her in the teeth to make sure she stayed down. She raved about you all, how much of a support you were to her and how much she loved you all. I honestly can’t see it.”

“Susan, this isn’t your place.” Richard put his hand on her shoulder.

“I’m going to go find the hen, Richard. I’m going to get her drunk and make sure she has some fucking fun. Because I really am over the drama.”

“Susan, Ben said he will be back with her,” Ian urged. “Just leave them to chill.”

Susan glared at Ian. “He did that thing he always does when he has no intention of returning. He gave her an out and she took it. So, I’m going to go find her, get her so fucking drunk that she will be so sick tomorrow that she won’t care that the marriage is a sham.”

  Kate

Susan and Tammy had found Ben and I at the blackjack tables. She’d fed us drinks and then conned me into going to dancing. She had me laughing and Ben smiling. I was having a good time until I saw that everyone else was at the club. But they all seemed to be content dancing, drinking and having fun. Emma and Carrie were being their normal cheeky selves and I started to relax.

We’d been playing up like two bob watches for an hour and the boys were suffering for it. Emma, Carrie and I had fed Susan and Tammy enough shots to the point they were now dirty dancing with us. The boys watched us with drinks in their hands and lust in their eyes.

Ian looked like he would fuck me six ways to Sunday, Charlie looked at me like he wanted to spank me and then fuck me. I didn’t really want to touch either of them.

I glanced at Emma who was stirring Brian, he was looking at her with the same carnal look Chris used to get.

“He’s going to fuck your brains out.” I smiled at her.

“I know, I can’t wait.” She smiled. “You might just end up with a threesome with Charlie and Ian if you keep going.”

“I already had one,” I muttered.

She stared at me looking shocked and then got bright eyed. “Details now.”

  “No, I can’t.” I felt a blush coming on.

“Well, are you going to do it again?”

I shrugged. “Maybe. I kissed a girl too.”

She gaped at me wide eyed. “Was that on his bucket list?”

“Well, it kind of just happened.”

  “What was it like?”

“It was ok, she was a good kisser.”

  “Was it different though?”

“Yeah, well her mouth was softer. It was different, still nice though.”

We danced a little longer. “Will you be my first girl kiss?” Emma asked with a filthy grin.

I was surprised by that but smiled. We were about to kiss when Carrie asked what we were doing. Emma explained.

“I always wanted to do that,” she said.

“Try, what?” Tammy and Susan asked.

After an explanation, they grinned. “We have done that. Drives the boys insane.” Tammy giggled.

“I’ll kiss you Carrie, the boys get weirded out when Tammy kisses someone,” Susan said.

I looked at Emma. “You still keen?”

She nodded. “Yeah.” She bit her lip and we moved in slowly, brushing our lips together. “Oh, it is soft,” Emma said looking into my eyes.

“Yeah,” I agreed knowing that alcohol was fully to blame for my behavior right now. Oh God, this was so naughty. I grinned at Emma.

Well apparently, she was into it. She pressed her mouth to mine. I put my hands in her hair. She wrapped her arms around me. I claimed her mouth with gentle licks and she kissed me back. Kissing a woman, it was different. After a little while, Emma giggled and broke the kiss. I opened my eyes and looked at her, then up at Brian who had lost his self-restraint.

“We’re going back to the room. Now,” he told her before he looked at me and pointed. “Naughty girl. You should be spanked for that.”

I giggled and felt a hand go on my shoulder, I looked up at Ian “Am I in trouble?”

He nodded. “Yeah, you are about to be fucked in more ways than you ever dreamed of.”

I smiled, took his hand and waved bye to Emma.

Ian and I got upstairs to Ch
arlie’s room, he was waiting with the door open. We went straight inside. The door shut. Charlie took my face and kissed me. Ian undressed me.

If the first threesome was intense. This had nothing on it.

When we finally lay on the sheets. Ian kissed me, it was like a promise. It made my belly flutter. It shouldn’t have fluttered. I had been feeling like shit for most of the night knowing I was about to marry a man who didn’t love me. Now that I had fucked the alcohol out of my system, I felt slutty. Connection or not, I’d just been used.

“I will see you tomorrow. Bad luck to see the bride before she goes down the aisle. You two enjoy the rest of the night.” Ian looked me in the eyes before touching my face. He looked concerned for a moment. “Are you ok?”

  I simply nodded.

“You sure? You have that same look in your eye you had the first night.”

“I’m fine,” I said softly looking away from him and his beautiful blue eyes.

He took my chin gently and moved me, so I had to see him. He stroked my cheek. “It isn’t traditional Kate. I admit I am not in love with you. But that doesn’t mean I won’t fall. Fuck everyone and their opinions. We will work it out, okay? We have time.”

I nodded but didn’t give him my eyes. “Okay.”

“Look at me,” he snarled softly.

  I shook my head.

  “Look at me.”

Slowly, I lifted my eyes to his. I dropped my walls and let him just see how I was really feeling about everything. I couldn’t hold his eye contact. He was looking at me so intensely.

“Kate.” His hand cupped my face “We will work it out. I promise. We will work it out.”

I turned my head back and locked gazes with him and I could see he believed it and wasn’t just saying it.

“Stay with Charlie, after the last 24 hours, I don’t think you should be alone.”

“Ian, are you sure?” Charlie asked.

“Yep, we just gotta make the most of what time we have. She can’t help loving two men.” He kissed me again. He got up, got dressed and then winked before he left the suite.

Charlie pulled me into his arms and I snuggled against him “Tonight turned out better than I expected.”

“Me too, after the way it started off.” I kissed his chest. “Thank you for bringing me on this crazy adventure.”

“Thank you for being you.” He kissed my forehead. “Are you ok?”

I shook my head. “No, I should have turned him down. I should have turned you both down, so I could gather my thoughts and get some sleep. But like a little slut, I gave in.”

“You feel used? By him or both of us?”

“Him. I mean if you wouldn’t have picked me, he wouldn’t have looked twice. I mean who wants to go to bed with the love child of Frankenstein and Deadpool’s love child every night for the rest of their life?”

He pulled me into his arms spooning me. He bit my neck gently before whispering in my ear, “Me. I would. I do want you until my last breath. But I won’t make you a widow twice.” He sighed. “Can I tell you a secret?”

  I nodded.

“He saw you first and pointed you out. I saw your eyes meet and how you played it cool. But you didn’t hear his reaction when he first saw you.”

  “What do you mean?”

“He stopped walking and I asked what he was doing and he said ‘Mine. I will share until you go. But she is Mine…’ ” He paused for effect. “I haven’t heard him effectively claim a woman ever. He wants you but doesn’t want to. Means that what he had with Aria is officially finished and he has to move on.”

I shook my head because I didn’t believe it. I wonder if Ian ever considered that I was in the same boat. First with Chris and now with Charlie and he wasn’t even dead yet.

Charlie’s eyes burned into mine. “Can we make love again? Before you have to rest because tomorrow, I hope he’s going to make your dreams come true.”

I touched his face and nodded. “I love you, Charlie.”

He eased himself into me, my body bowed and clenched down on him. I took a couple deep breaths as I gazed up at him. I was a little dry.

He reached down and started to manipulate my clit. I wasn’t dry for long. “I love you, Katie.”

The way he said it, nearly broke my heart. He meant it. He really, truly meant it.

We made love till we were both exhausted. And then we cuddled our gazes locked until we fell asleep.

  Charlie

I woke with her in my arms and felt peace.

She opened her eyes and looked at me.

  I smiled. “Good morning.”

“Good morning, Charlie.” She sighed and touched my face

  “You look happy.”

I nodded. “I am. Today, I get to pretend you’re my daughter and give you away.”

“Did you want kids?” she asked.

  “Before you, no.”

“Go jizz in a cup and I will have one for you,” she offered. “You can leave your legacy.”

I stroked her face with my fingers. “Are you on the pill?”

“No, but you and Ian have used protection.”

“I haven’t,” I admitted, watching her reaction, cause she was either going to be happy or kill me. “If it happens then it happens if it doesn’t, it wasn’t meant to be.”

She stared at me as what I just told her sunk in. “Jizz in a cup in case it doesn’t,” she whispered.

“Charlie Johnathan for a boy and Alexia Rachael for a girl ok?” I said and kissed her gently. “Get up and get dressed. You have a wedding to prepare for.”

She looked at me and smiled. “Before I do, I have a secret to tell you.”

  “What is that?”

“There’s another rarity in marriage I want to share with you.”

I smirked. “And what would that be?”

“Charlie, I’m pregnant.” Kate looked so shy as she said it.

My eyes went wide and I looked at her belly and then at her eyes. “Oh, I hope so!” I kissed her and then started pressing kisses on her belly. “Swim you little fuckers swim. Find a couple of nice eggs and fertilize them. Boy and a girl, please. You’re going to have the best mom in the world and dad. I’m going to be your guardian angel. CJ please don’t be a slut. And Lexie you either. I love you both. Somehow, I just know you’re in there.”

I kissed her belly again, and looked at her, then moved up the bed and kissed her again. “They’re in there. I know it. Thank you, Kate.” I kissed her tenderly.

  Kate

Part of me just wanted to have him hear it, just so he could feel the elation and yet, another part of me knew he was right. We got up and I got dressed then kissed him soundly once again before I went back to my room. It was empty and for once, I just enjoyed a shower as I prepared myself mentally for the day ahead.

A knock sounded on the door an hour and a half later, Ben entered with the Ryan and Ella. I hugged both my babies.

“Ben and Charlie made us get clothes and stuff and he is making me wear a suit,” Ryan muttered. “I hope you look pretty mum cause if I have to wear a suit, you should look like a princess like Ella and Evie.”

I smiled. “How about I get some food brought up and you guys chill?”

They ran off to the TV, turned it on, and just zoned out.

I looked over at Ben. “I hope they were ok?”

“They were absolutely hilarious.” He grinned. “Charlie was trying to convince Ryan that a suit was the best way to a woman’s heart.”

“We all know it is a uniform!” Ryan shouted.

I laughed and Ben chuckled before he said, “And Ella had a dress allergy until Charlie convinced her to try on something and now, you may have issues with fashion.”

“Dresses are awesome. Charlie said I was pretty,” Ella interjected as she blushed, her hands behind her. She moved like she was swishing a dress.

I asked her to go watch some TV and when she ran off, I looked up at Ben. “Thank you for last night. For
getting me out of the mood I was in.”

He shrugged. “Don’t mention it. I’m glad you ended up having a good night.” He pulled out an electronic document reader and papers. “Ian wants the paperwork signed before you go down the aisle and save time for photos and the reception.”

I nodded. We went to a table and he put it all down.

“There’s a prenup and a couple of other things to sign too. The gist of the prenup is no alimony, 50-50 split on kids should you have any together, shared holidays and birthdays etc, no money exchange. Put your thumb print here.” He pointed to the electronic document. I did and he pointed at a few other places and put my thumb there. “Ok, sign these and we are done.”

I studied the paperwork and saw Ian had already signed. I signed it all and glanced at Ben. “Has Charlie finished his bucket list?”

He nodded. “Just the wedding and the reception to go on top of a few things he needs to sort out for work. He’ll probably add more to the list. He said he is going to walk you down the aisle and pretend you’re his daughter.”

I nodded. “He said that.” I bit my lip and looked up at him. “What is your take on the last week?”

Ben thought about it for a moment. “It has been interesting. We have all had a conversation with him and pretty much said our goodbyes. I think you’re exactly what Charlie needed. And I think you’re exactly what Ian is going to need,” he said firmly. “I have known the family a long time. When Ian lost Aria, I thought we would lose him too. He went to a dark place. I think if he didn’t have the kids he would have killed himself.”

I nodded. “So is Ian only going to marry me for the two years Charlie insisted on? Am I going to be hurt at the end of this?”

He cocked his head to the side. “Is he just doing this for Charlie?”

I nodded slowly, I wasn’t sure I wanted the answer.

“No, he wouldn’t just marry some woman because his brother insists on it. He likes you. He’s a little worried for the same reason only the other way around. Are you marrying him just for two years? There’s no money involved regardless.”

“I don’t want money. I have a job. I am marrying him with the hope of growing old together. I really like him but…” I bit my lip and my eyes welled. “I fell for Charlie, he’s going to die and I only just survived Chris. I’m worried that when all this is done, Ian will realize he doesn’t want me.” I turned away from him and shook my head. “I wish Mum and Dad were here to talk to. But I already know what they would say. Everyone made it perfectly clear yesterday.”
