Ballers 2: His Final Play Page 11

by Blue Saffire

Nico lifts our still entwined hands and pins them to the glass wall of the waterfall. He kisses my throat, then under my chin, before he nips it. His thrusts become more powerful and I can’t stop crying out. With my free hand, I dig my fingers into his back.

“You do not believe me,” Nico says in English this time. “Look at me, Bella. Give me your eyes.”

I reluctantly look him in the eyes. His blue eyes are sharp and piercing as they look into my soul. Maybe it wasn’t the lie that I feared most. Maybe it was this. The love that is undeniable. It’s fast, yet it isn’t. We have been playing around these feelings for months now.

My lips tremble and the tears flow. “Don’t hurt me,” I sob.

“Never,” Nico says fiercely. “Now let go, Bella. Give me it all. Hold nothing back.”

And I do. I give him everything I have. As I let go of the last bit I’d been holding onto, the sky opens and rain begins to pour down on us. Nico doesn’t stop. He cups my face and kisses me while he pounds into me. We come together in the pouring rain and it is the most beautiful experience I have ever had.

Nico’s sweat and rain soaked chest heaves against mine and I swear it is like our hearts become one. I may not have meant to say it out loud, but the words are true. I love this man. This is the safest I have felt in my life. I find that ironic as we sit in a pool full of water in the rain, with lightning flashing in the clouds.

As if reading my mind, Nico wraps his arms around me and start for the stairs of the pool once again. I try to catch my breath to protest. In the water is one thing, but he doesn’t need my weight on him outside of it, definitely.

“Don’t say it, Reese. I’m not putting you down,” Nico says.

I shake my head and bury my face in his neck. He hasn’t even pulled out of me. I giggle into his skin. He is only the second man I have ever been with, but that was amazing.

  CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

  To Be A Donati

  Nico

I am still in disbelief. I knew making love to Reese would be amazing, but what just happened out in the pool. That was more than amazing. I have never had anything come close to it.

I meant what I said. I love her. I have loved Reese for a long time now and it is like a weight being lifted off my chest to finally be able to say it and feel it, without feeling like it is wrong or hopeless.

“What are you thinking about,” Reese asks as she draws circles on my chest. I comb my fingers through her thick, damp hair. I toweled her off before we climbed in bed.

“You,” I sigh. “You are what I am thinking about. I want to take you to Italy. I want you to see my other home,” I reply.

Reese squeals and lifts to her elbows. “Oh my God, I have always wanted to go to Italy,” she pauses and the wind leaves her sails. “I can’t go right now. I have the clinic about to open and I haven’t told my parents about my divorce, they are going to kill me.”

“You still have a month before the clinic opens and we can go to your parents and tell them together,” I shrug.

“Oh hell no,” Reese replies and shakes her head.

I lift to my elbows and look down at her. “Are you ashamed of me,” I tilt my head at her. “It’s the accent isn’t it?” I tease and smirk at her.

Reese rearranges herself, so that the leg I have been holding against my abdomen moves to my side, so she can straddle me. She bends over me and place a kiss to my shoulder where one of my exit wound lies.

“There is nothing about you that I am ashamed of, Nico,” Reese says with love in her eyes, and I feel my chest squeeze.

She can say this now because she doesn’t know me. She doesn’t know the truth of my family and what she has really just signed up for. I frown and draw in a breath.

Reese’s smile falls as she watches my reaction. I rub my hand up and down her back. “Did I say something wrong,” she asks softly.

“No, that is not it. There are things you still don’t know about me, about my family. Things I would not tell you if I weren’t completely serious about you,” I answer.

Reese slips off of me and sits beside me. I can see her pulling into herself as she wraps her arms around herself. I think about what I am about to say for the millionth time. This is only right. Reese is more fragile then she lets on. I will not have her run from me because she doesn’t know about my family.

“I was not shot in a robbery,” I start.

“Right, the news said it was a robbery, slash attempted kidnapping,” Reese murmurs.

“No, that was what we told the news reporters the story was, that story was made up. Well, for the most part. My Uncle slash stepfather had a serious grudge against my family,” I run a hand through my hair. “Baby, what I am about to tell you is between you and me. The kind of life or death, type of between you and me.”

Reese shakes her head. “Then maybe you shouldn’t be telling me. Oh my God, Nico. I knew we rushed this,” she starts to panic.

I sit up and cup her face in my hands. I place a kiss to her lips. “Listen to me,” I whisper. “We didn’t rush things. I planned to tell you all of this sooner or later. I want you in my life. That means you need to know about my life.”

“Nico, you are scaring me,” she says with trembling lips.

I capture her lips and kiss her deeply. Relishing the fact that I can. I groan into her mouth as I get lost in her amazing flavor.

“You never need to be scared. I would never let anything happen to you,” I say against her lips.

Her big brown eyes search mine for reassurance of my words. I lean to kiss her lips softly this time. When I pull away Reese nods. “Okay,” she says.

“Good, Baby,” I smile down at her. “My family has old world ties that run deep. You are already in deeper than you know. You became involved the minute you went into business with Uri.”

Reese brows wrinkle in question. “Uri,” she asks.

“Yes. Don Uri Donati. The Don of the Caprisi family. He would have become the Don of the Donati family had my father not been murdered in the streets right in front of him. Uri was a small boy then. But that’s a whole other story for another time.

“What you need to know is that the same uncle that sent men to kill our father and kidnap Uri as a boy, is the same uncle that sent men for Valentina and Vita that night I was shot. They were supposed to kidnap Val and Vita,” I frown.

“Oh my God, Nico,” Reese gasps.

I nod. “Big mistake. Before my brother became the Don of the Caprisi family, he was what we in the families call a hitter. What you would know as a hitman. Valentina was also a hitter, for the Caprisi family. Which is unheard of by the way, but I watched her in action.

“I completely froze when I was supposed to protect Val, Shannon, and Vita. I am a footballer, don’t get me wrong. I was never meant to be a killer or to run a family, but Uri still made sure I learned enough to protect my family and myself. But I froze. I didn’t even help her.

“I just stood there and watched her move on shear killer instinct. She is amazing. Something truth unreal to watch. I think I was more in disbelief that I was watching a female version of Uri.

“When the bullets came flying at me and Vita the only thing I could do was shield her little body with mine. Even if I never play again, I would do it again, protect Vita with my life.

“The same goes for you. I will protect you with my life. I love you. I don’t send Tony with you because of sports fans or some unseen threat. I send him with you because my family is the third most powerful family there is in the mob world and my brother runs the second.

“Valentina is never joking when she offers to kill your ex-husband. She means it and she would get away with it. I know and am friends with some very powerful and lethal men as well as women. No one in my life is who they seem, but you will always be safe and cared for. No one will disrespect you or allow anyone else to,” I draw my words to an end and search her face for a reaction.

“Can I just have a minute,” Reese ho
lds up her hand and asks.

“Yes Cara,” I nod and gulp down a breath.

I can see her thoughts racing. “Wait, is Ty still alive,” she asks and bites her lip.

I throw my head back and laugh. “Yes, barely, but yes. I just beat the shit out of him. I let him get in a hit or two but I wanted to get back home to you so I beat his ass and left,” I shrug.

Reese’s mouth pops open. “Seriously,” she gasps.

I shrug again. “He wasn’t just going to walk away from what he did to you.”

“I don’t know if I am delirious from the sex or if I have finally lost my mind. But…all of what you just said is kind of… hot,” Reese smirks and crawls into my lap.

I cup her full ass in my hands. She is so gorgeous. I love her big brown eyes and all of her brown skin is so smooth and flawless. I don’t care that her thighs are thick or that her tummy is soft. Those are things she points out. I see it all as perfect.

I roar with laughter. “I knew you were crazy. Just what I need,” I tease.

“Be careful what you ask for, Nico,” Reese purrs.

“You’re so beautiful.” I nip her bottom lip. “I want you,” I whisper.

“Mmm,” she wiggles her ass against my growing arousal. “Again, be careful what you ask for.”

Reese lifts to plant her little feet into the mattress. She then grabs the base of my cock as she slides down onto me. The face she makes while I enter her is priceless. It is a mix or passion and awe.

I love how tight she is around me. I smile up at her as she starts to bounce up and down on me. It is when she throws her head back and starts to grind on my cock that I lose it. This is not like the first time, sweet and slow. No, I won’t be able to hold back like that again tonight. I grab her full breasts and bring one to my mouth.

Planting my own feet, I begin to thrust up into her. I have never had sex without a condom. I marvel at the feel of her slick walls sucking me in. I suck harder on her tightly beaded nipple as she grinds hard and bounces faster.

I let her nipple pop free when she gushes around me. “You feel so good, Cara. You feel like you were made for my cock,” I grunt.

“Oh shit,” Reese drops her head and looks at me. “Nico, please don’t stop. Talk to me.”

I groan and smirk at her. “Does my angel like that? You like it when I talk dirty to you,” Reese nods frantically and bites her lip. I chuckle and grab a hold of her hair. I move my lips to her ear, licking the shell before I speak into it. “I’m going to fuck this sweet pussy until you can’t walk anymore. When I am done with you, you won’t want another cock. You won’t want anyone but me.”

“Yes, Nico, yes,” Reese cries out and she shivers from my word.

“Shit,” I growl as she gushes around me again.

I flip her onto her back and pin her legs back. I wince a little, but I look away so Reese does see it. She is right, I did overdo things between beating her ex’s ass and our tryst in the pool. That is not going to stop me now though. Reese will be pissed tomorrow when she has to work on my muscles.

I lunge into her pussy, reaching between us for her slick nub. Reese’s eyes roll into the back of her head. I lean into her ear as I continue to thrust and roll my hips. “Questo figa e mio,” I growl. “Quando cazzo voglio sentirvi urlare il mio nome.”

“Nico,” Reese screams and I smile wide.

“Good girl,” I grunt. “You like my cock inside?”

“Yes, I’m going to come. Nico, please. I’m so close.”

“Good Baby, I’m right with you,” I grunt.

Three more hard thrusts and I feel myself spill inside of her just as she tightens around me, screaming my name and clawing my back. I have never come so hard in my life. I roll onto my back taking her with me.

“Stupefacente,” I murmur into her hair.

  CHAPTER NINETEEN

  My Girls

  Reese

When I told Nico that my girls wanted to celebrate my divorce with me, he insisted I have them over to the apartment. It has taken a week to make it happen because this is the first time that Nico has let me up for air. I am not complaining.

Sex with Nico is out of this world. He is not shy, apologetic, and he gives me what I need and want without question. Oh…and the dirty talk. Nico gives it just the way I like, in English and Italian. With his deep voice it is just perfect. My toes curl every time.

I look around at my girls. I’m so happy they are here. I need someone to gush to about the love I have found. I want to be able to share how happy I am.

“So tell us about him. You haven’t been able to stop smiling since we got here and I know it is not all about the divorce,” Stacey coaxes.

I squeal and wiggle in my seat like a little girl. “What is there to say. He is amazing. I feel loved, I feel safe and I feel beautiful with him. Nico is everything I thought I had, but this time it is so real,” I gush.

Tam gives me a skeptical look. “Are you sure this is real? I mean we met Ty the same time you did. I thought he was the real deal too. Then he went and lost his little mind,” Tam presses her lips.

“Yup,” Alee adds popping her p.

“Wait,” I laugh. “I know Ty changed into someone else once he left high school. I guess the fame and popularity got to him finally. I don’t have to worry about that with Nico. For one, he is a grown ass man. Plus, he is no stranger to fame. He has played soccer in the States and Overseas. None of that seems to have gone to his head.”

“Wait… hold on a stinking minute here,” Stacey interjects. “Soccer player…career ending injury…named Nico. Oh. My. Freaking. God. You are fucking Nico Zuko?”

“Shhh,” I look around not sure if Nico is back home yet. He went out with his brothers for a few hours. “Donati. Nico Donati. He dropped the Zuko name.”

“Yeah, I heard about that. What is that all about,” Tam asks with genuine interest. She is going to be a great sports lawyer. In less than a year and a half, she will be ready to take her bar exam. I know she is going to nail it.

I shrug my shoulders as I think back to the story Nico told me. He was not hesitant to give me all the details once I asked. I love that about him. Whatever I want to know, he opens right up to me. I’m not sure how Uri and Val will feel about me knowing so much, but Nico feels I should know.

I love that he trusts me, but then again, he could always just have me killed. I shiver at the thought. I have always known there was something about Uri and Val. It is in their eyes.

“It’s nothing,” I say. “Their family just made some changes. They have been through a lot. I think the name change was to bring them together. They are much closer now after almost losing Nico,” I tell the half-truth so easily.

“I want to get back to the fact that you are fucking Nico the soccer player,” Stacey wiggles her brows. “That explains this place.”

Stacey looks around the rooftop. I shake my head at my friend. Leave it to her to see dollar signs. I just laugh at her.

“I wasn’t going to say nothing,” Alee makes wide eyes at me then sips her drink.

  “Whatever,” I wave her off.

“Well, I like him already. He has a real smile on your face and he got the super nerd to break her schedule to hang out with us,” Alee teases and looks over at Tam pointedly.

“Whatever, heifer. When I’m sending you celebrity clients and their wives we’ll talk about me being a super nerd,” Tam sasses back.

“Honey, I never said there was a thing wrong with you being a super nerd. I’m just acknowledging that you are one,” Alee chuckles.

“Again, can we get back to you fucking Nico the soccer player. He is Italian isn’t he,” Stacey interrupts. “What is he like six-four or something?”

“Six-six,” I sing and sip my drink.

“Oh my,” Stacey fans herself. “Well, how big is he?”

“I knew it was coming,” Alee snorts. “I keep telling ya’ll we need to stop being friends with her.”

“What, we all know I married a man with a barely average six incher. I’m being generous. His girth gets him a pass.”

“You ever think that’s why he is so insecure,” Alee asks and lifts a brow.

Stacey shrugs. “I don’t care anymore. I’m taking a page out of Reese’s book. We’re getting a divorce.”

“Really,” Tam asks pressing her lips and giving Stacey a side glance.

“Well, my birthday is coming but right after that, yup,” Stacey nods then gulps down her drink.

Tam waves a hand at Stacey. “How is Nico taking the whole divorce situation?” Tam pries.

“He beat Ty’s ass and made him sign the paper,” I giggle then cover my mouth. I may have had a little too much to drink.

“Oh hell yeah, I love him,” Stacey croons.

“Yes, he is a keeper,” Tam says in a fit of laughter. “I wish I could have been there.”

  “Me too,” I agree.

“Well, the sex must be phenomenal because you are just glowing,” Stacey chirps.

I smirk and think of earlier. Nico had me bent over the bathroom countertop as he thrusted into me from behind, just before he left to meet his brothers. The things he said to me in Italian as he pounded into me had me screaming the roof off.

Sigh. I don’t think it is legal what that man has done to me. I am missing me some Nico right now.

“Girl, this new man has you gone,” Tam teases.

“You know what, good,” Stacey pouts. “because Ty was a no good filthy rat and I’m so sorry I never told you about what happen when I went to his college. You were just so in love. I didn’t want to crush you. I thought he would at least try to do better when you two married,” She has apologized profusely since she arrived.

“Stacey, I told you that we’re cool. I know you guys tried to warn me without hurting me. You’re right, if you would have come out and told me back then, I probably still wouldn’t have listened,” I confess.

“Wait, I still can’t believe you didn’t whip that hoes ass,” Tam says looking at me pointedly. “Out of all of us, you are the first to go postal every time. I swear you would think you grow up in the hood. Yup… you were over Ty before she revealed herself, because the Reese I know, would have whipped her ass. Just saying.”
