My Baby Is a West Coast King 2 Page 26

by Shvonne Latrice

I admit I was nervous as hell about today because I was unsure of what her reaction would be. Lately, it seemed like she loved me how she used to, and I didn’t want to see her cry over this shit. If I could make our marriage work I would, but shit had gone too far to the damn left. No matter what I told myself, I just didn’t feel the same way about Jade. And it wasn’t because of Erynne. I’d felt Jade and I drifting way before I met her.

When I pulled up on the street, I saw Jade’s car was parked outside.

“Fuck,” I mumbled. I did not feel like running into her ass.

She’d tried contacting me since we last talked, but after constantly asking her for space, she finally gave up. This shit would be awkward right now if I went up in there, but I refused to show up at my lawyer’s office in the same shit I wore last night. I’d showered but I still felt dirty.

I got out of the car, telling myself I would be quick, keeping the conversation to a minimum. Opening the door, I let out a sigh of relief to see she wasn’t in the living room. I rushed to the back, but when I got to my closed bedroom door, I heard Jade moaning. I knew her moans like the back of my fucking hand.

  Was she fucking serious?

“Ahhh, Adrian, fuck,” Jade whimpered as I listened to my muthafucking headboard hit the wall.

“Get the fuck up outta my bed!” I roared, bursting off into the room. “You got me fu—”

A bitch hopped from on top of Jade, and out of the bed wearing a strap on, causing me to lose my train of thought. Jade covered her body with the sheet, looking at me like a sad puppy.

This couldn’t be my damn life…

  Mischief

  That night…

It was around 7:45pm at night, and I was sitting with my homeboy Nate, just chilling on his porch. I basically grew up with Nate. When my family lived in Compton, he was my next-door neighbor twice out of the three times we moved within the city, so naturally we became homies. My family and I lived on Spruce Street for a while, then Maple Street for a minute, and then Cedar Street before leaving, and all three houses made memories. So when when my father relocated to Beverly Hills after coming up, I didn’t really go with them per se.

My mother’s urges to fuck with me became worse when we moved, so I was never home. Nate’s mom took me in, since Nate and I were already like brothers. What he got into, I got into, and vice versa. We even got put on to TTP around the same time. I’ll never forget getting my ass whooped by a group of niggas. Shit was worth it to me at the time. And still, right now, they were like my brothers so I wouldn’t take the shit back.

“Aye, I meant to tell you. The other day when we were playing cards, Dez was saying how he thinks you’re fucking his girl because of the way she be acting and shit.”

“Man, I ain’t fucked Mendi in a long ass time. Matter fact, that bitch owes me some money for the last record we did.”

Laughing, Nate replied, “I was sitting there laughing to myself, like nigga, you’re late as hell; the homie been hitting for the longest.”

  We chuckled in unison.

“Man, I don’t need no more damn problems. I got a girlfriend who’s crazy as fuck, shit, that’s why Mendi don’t come around no more. My bitch clocked her one time, sent her flying on her ass.”

“Damn!” He put his fist to his mouth laughing. “Was the pussy good?”

“Yeah, it was cool. Her head game though is crazy. Bitch can make you nut in under five minutes sometimes. Dez ain’t got no business keeping that shit to himself.”

“You’re crazy as fuck for that comment right there,” Nate chuckled.

“Nah, but I got enough women problems. You know Brooke? That little ghetto light-skinned bitch that Kordell used to fuck with?”

“The one with the loud ass mouth that have you wanting to knock the dog shit out of her?”

I laughed while nodding my head.

“Yeah, her. That bitch told my brother I got her pregnant. But that ain’t the worst part, my damn father is helping her lie about the shit, claiming he caught us in my old bedroom.” I sat back and shook my head, trying to think of why Brooke was saying this shit. “I tried to sic the homegirls on her but she ain’t been seen lately.”

My dad fucking me over was something I understood because he hated me, always had. He didn’t like the fact that his wife was attracted to me. Instead of realizing that shit wasn’t my fault and that she was sick in the head, he acted as if I was some other nigga on the street trying to take her. Then to add insult to injury, I wouldn’t work with him. So like I said, his motives were clear and concise, but Brooke, that bitch knew I never fucked her. And she loved Kordell like a fat bitch loved cake, so I wasn’t understanding why she’d want to make him think the child wasn’t his and was mine. All I knew was that if I found her ass, I was murking her. She’d be going into labor any day now, so hopefully she’d be forced to turn up. And I’d be swabbing that baby if I had to, to prove me right to my brother, not to myself…

“Yo’ dad always been on some fuck shit, no disrespect,” Nate said, looking down at his phone screen. “Aye, nigga, yo’ girl got a sex tape?”

Snatching my eyes from my old home, I looked over at this nigga with bucked eyes. He reached his phone out to me, and I looked down at the screen to see one of them gossip blogs had posted the shit to Instagram.

My blood began to boil as I watched the little ass clip, seeing they’d tagged Laine and me, even though the person in the video with her obviously wasn’t my ass. It was definitely Laine though because I knew her body and her moans very well. The blogger was just trying to make sure I saw the shit.

  “I can’t believe—”

  “Oh shit!” Nate hollered.

  “Aye, Mr. Producer!”
